According to Guangzhou Daily posted on Weibo, a League of Legends gamer spent a huge amount of money to find a female League player through an app to play with him. The woman gamer insisted on not dating him, though, so he decided to file a lawsuit to recoup more than $22,000 he spent.

Specifically, a Chinese man named Xiao Jun paid $22,000 for in-app registration fees as well as gifts for the female League player-for-hire, named Xiao Mei. The process starts from November 2019 to April 2020, Xiao Jun in turn spent nearly 72,400 Yuan (more than 11 thousand dollars) to buy gifts and tried to convince Xiao Mei for a date. Xiao Mei first refused the invitation and also Xiao Jun’s presents, but she was unable to refuse when this guy sent a gift by post.

chinese

They continued to play League of Legends together, but Xiao Mei was quite offended when friends of Xiao Jun called her the Jun wife concurrently. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back, causing Xiao Mei to terminate the “play services” she was provided through the app. It was now Xiao Jun’s turn to be irritated since he had lost a large amount of money to a girl he had never met.

As a result, at Xiangtan Yuhu District People’s Court, he sued Mei for “the unjust enrichment” to get back the money he had spent. The court, however, concluded that both parties were tied by a “service contract relationship” through the app and that Xiao Jun’s gift-donating was voluntary rather than coerced by the female player.

The fact that Xiao Jun lost the case, as well as the huge money, should serve as a caution to other gamers not to fall in love with a friend they met online.

Faker admitted disagreements with the Coach in the latest post-match interview https://notagamer.net/faker-admitted-disagreements-with-the-coach/ https://notagamer.net/faker-admitted-disagreements-with-the-coach/#respond Tue, 29 Jun 2021 12:24:59 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34536 T1 finally broke its losing streak with a 2-0 victory against DragonX. This victory, however, opens up to many more hidden aspects inside Team T1.

During a post-match interview, Faker implied that he quite disagreed with Coach Daeny’s gaming orientation. Even if there is a win against DRX, it appears that the Demon King can not be satisfied, according to his share.

Faker stated that the major reason for the two losses against Liiv SANDBOX and Nongshim RedForce was that the entire team was underperformed and that it was difficult to adapt to the new tactics in the match against Team NS. He also received personal feedback that he didn’t match his teammates well, so he explains that he is only trying to engage in good turns.

Furthermore, Faker shared that if the team had been a bit more proactive and aggressive during the 70-minute game against NS, the result would have been much better. However, the Coach thought that is good enough. Faker again expresses that the differences in the way he sees the game from how Daeny, and now his teammates, see the game. Despite the differences, he is trying his best to match the team’s vision of the game.

faker

Faker’s interview was immediately dissected to show that numerous aspects revealed a schism between Faker’s perspective and those of the rest of T1, even Coach Daeny. T1’s Coach appears to prefer to extend the games into the 30th minute, taking advantage of the moment when the main carries are fully equipped to engage in team fights, whilst Faker wants his team to be more proactive in the gameplay.

The fact that Daeny praised the players after a “sleepless” 70-minute struggle with NS is one example; although Faker constantly called for a fight, the other members of T1 defended the turrets.

A difficult challenge for Team T1 is implementing any vision stated. T1’s lineup in that game was practically impossible to hit late-game, when the effects of Lucian and Sett would gradually reduce, whereas the NS side had a better fighting line-up than that with Nocturne, good anti-combat and strong protecting with Tahm Kench, and two wide-range damage champions in Rumble and Varus. T1’s decision to engage in the late-game was a mistake, but with the team suffering in an increasingly dismal scenario, it is apparent that this team is playing too passively.

In short, Faker does not want T1 to become another JinAir Green Wings, since this team’s passive late gameplay is fundamentally ineffective, and the quality of T1’s lineup does not allow it. It makes no sense to win against DragonX since this team is already too weak, and all T1’s flaws were exposed by the previous 2 losses. After losing the laning phase and having weak objective control, deciding on a late-game strategy is akin to back-fired.

Faker may not be in the same peak form he once was, and he makes mistakes more frequently, but his experience and commitment to the team are undeniable. He said that if his teammates believed it was a good idea, he would not hesitate to follow it. However, after a Spring split of forming the team and testing dozens of possibilities, the Coach and T1 players’ late-game approach has not had the desired effect, unless their goal is not the title or a Worlds spot.

Galio Flash Taunt returns despite being removed in the previous patches https://notagamer.net/galios-flash-taunt-returns-despite-being-removed/ https://notagamer.net/galios-flash-taunt-returns-despite-being-removed/#respond Tue, 29 Jun 2021 05:32:49 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34410 Galio could no longer perform the combo W – Shield of Durand combined with Flash since patch 9.14, as it allows The Colossus able to unexpectedly and effectively start a teamfight.

galio

The LoL community has recently found that this combo would not disappear if you use Hextech Flashtraption from Inspiration branch in patch 11.13. This enables Galio to be able to open a teamfight as before.

To perform this Galio combo, you need to use Hextech Flashtraption

As we all know, Hextech Flashtraption could be used after casting Flash. It is notable that when Flash returns to normal, it is only be locked just for a very brief period of time when Galio uses W. Players can completely cast this skill with Flash to unexpectedly taunt many enemies.

The community eventually found that the reason for this bug is that Hextech Flashtraption is not locked when Galio uses W. This combination will still be performed if you timing it correctly when Flash returns to normal. Since this flash taunt combo was locked about 2 years ago, this is obviously a highly major concern for Galio.

Not only Galio, but Ryze’s ultimate Realm Warp combined with Zhonya’s Hourglass has also returned in patch 11.13. Riot Games promptly fixed this thereafter, and Ryze was no longer able to escape too safely. Presumably, Riot will soon detect the problematic interaction from Hextech Flashtraption to Galio’s Shield of Durand.

Chinese eSports TV Series face waves of criticism for making Faker the “villain” of the show https://notagamer.net/chinese-esports-tv-series-face-waves-of-criticism/ https://notagamer.net/chinese-esports-tv-series-face-waves-of-criticism/#comments Sun, 27 Jun 2021 05:47:44 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34228 Due to the infuriating script, Falling Into Your Smile is facing a wave of boycotts on Chinese social media.

Following the success of The King’s Avatar 2 and Go Go Squid!, the theme of eSports has emerged as a new trend in the Chinese film industry. This resulted in a slew of eSports film titles, such as Falling Into Your Smile, appearing on the small screen.

In contrast to prior works, Falling Into Your Smile faces widespread criticism from the Chinese gaming community from the first stage of production. This is due to ridiculous details, as well as the drama of plagiarizing other works, altering eSport athletes’ image of the original novel.

Chinese eSports TV Series face waves of criticism for making Faker the “villain” of the show

Falling Into Your Smile continued to generate criticism from the gaming community until recently when the first episode of the series officially broadcast. This time, it was not just Chinese fans, but also South Korea and Southeast Asia.

The reason for this is that in the first episode of the series, the support character – Jian Yang (played by Zhai Xiao Wen), in order to flirt with Tong Yao (Cheng Xiao in the female lead role), intentionally acted to throw the game, delivering the winning portion to Tong Yao’s team. Jian Yang even showed a “sneering” attitude in the two characters’ post-match conversation while saying that because of Tong Yao, he may indulge in match-fixing as many times as he wants (this level not for money, but for flirting with the girl).

“Tong Yao: You should focus on your professional games. Look at your first round, your performance of killing yourself three times was so embarrassing.

Jian Yang: Was it bad? If you told me you joined them, I could even give them the victory in the second and the third rounds as a gift for you.”

This dialog has upset the gaming community by claiming that the author and the director themselves are totally ignorant eSport. And the player’s image is also distorted here, insulting the true spirit of sports, when creating an image of a character ready to flirt with girls, betraying teammates and spectators. Jian Yang’s role is also regarded as stereotypical since he perfectly imitates the support male character of love, who is entirely devoted to the female protagonist. But it’s apparent that swinging money and being cool isn’t something an eSports athlete does. As in reality, Jian Yang will undoubtedly be investigated and banned for life for his intentional match-fixing of the game.

Falling Into Your Smile has been criticized for using Esporst’s influence to create romances for the main cast as a result of the distorted plot. Spirit of fair-play, effort and a desire for victory were things that both the first episode of the series and the original novel are not included. Instead, romantic dramas take place during the whole episode in which a team member flirts with the other female player, the player merely completes a game then talks about love, etc.

Heretofore, the original novel Falling Into Your Smile was also involved in distorting Faker‘s original image, when Li Xiang He (Faker’s Chinese name) was transformed into the character of Jiao Huang with many similarities, but contain other villain personalities such as high arrogance, contemptuous of the weak, and the object of which the main cast of the film is determined to bring him down.

Team WE are another name that has been mentioned. The prototype of the eSports team in Falling Into Your Smile is claimed to have been taken from Team WE in which Lu Si Cheng (the protagonist) is the team member. Nevertheless, the author of the original novel has incorporated numerous elements of drama, scandals taken from rumors leaked online, leading the image of WE in particular and LPL, in general, to be significantly skewed. This led the fan community of Team WE to call for a boycott of the film from the time Falling Into Your Smile published a press release in 2017.

Up to now, in conjunction with the movie debut, Team WE were continuously ridiculed for their losses upon FPX just because they were taken as the prototype of the “3 cents” film about Esports.

Warwick’s rare bug that teleports him when using Q on Sion https://notagamer.net/warwicks-rare-bug-that-teleports-him-when-use-q-sion/ https://notagamer.net/warwicks-rare-bug-that-teleports-him-when-use-q-sion/#respond Fri, 25 Jun 2021 04:03:38 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34323 Not a bug you see everyday in League of Legends.
Warwick's rare bug that teleports him when using Q on Sion 3

Sion has recently been involved for several unique bugs, and now he appears to have become a victim of another in an interaction with Warwick.

After taking out Sion and dealing with his death passive, a League player on Warwick discovered a glitch. Warwick was thrown into the enemy base to confront the resurrected Undead Juggernaut.

Warwick appears to have used his Q, Jaws of the Beast, just as Sion’s body was about to vanish. The Blood Hunter followed its path all the way back to the opponent’s base as a result. Instead of putting Warwick into the fountain, the game paused him on the upper side between the Nexus and inhibitor turrets.

Despite the player’s astonishment, they nearly got a second kill on the Sion from within the enemy base at level one, which would have been an incredible result.

Right now, it appears that this bug’s limited usage implies that it will not be a widespread problem. However, earlier this month, gamers began to discover another problem affecting Sion when fighting an opponent Dr. Mundo. When Sion’s death passive is about to expire, he will resurrect on the place with full health if he is hit by Mundo’s Blunt Force Trauma.

There appear to be a few flaws afflicting Sion at the present, but Riot will most likely solve these in a forthcoming patch so the champion can resume his top-lane dominance.

Zilean receive animations VFX update in League PBE Patch https://notagamer.net/zilean-receive-animations-vfx-update-in-league-pbe/ https://notagamer.net/zilean-receive-animations-vfx-update-in-league-pbe/#respond Fri, 25 Jun 2021 02:57:38 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34308 This should help Zilean – one of the “older” champions of League of Legends to fit in with the game better.

The most adored timebender in League of Legends is getting some attention from the devs.

Senior VFX artist Kevin “Sirhaian” Leroy demonstrated a few “very low scope” VFX improvements for Zilean today, which should be ready in the Patch 11.14 PBE cycle. As one of League’s oldest champions, the Chronokeeper’s basic animations will be updated to “match his Legends of Runeterra aesthetics.”

Zilean’s Time Bomb (Q) will be much more modernized, with a clear blue animation that pulses before exploding. And the roman numbers on the clock appear to have been changed with what appear to be runic symbols. Time Warp (E) and auto attacks for the champion will be enhanced, together with his Chronoshift (R). Instead of the old outdated resurrection animation, now a brilliant blue clock will swirl around him before resurrecting during his ultimate.

Sirhaian noted that the VFX in the others of Zilean’s skins remained untouched, with the exception of Shurima Desert, where “subtle sand was added.”

Last month, the Chronokeeper was added to the digital card game LoR, with contemporary and visually stunning animations. Riot most likely wanted to maintain that uniformity across both titles, therefore they chose to update some basic VFX on a champion launched in 2009.

With these VFX modifications expected to enter the PBE soon, they’ll most likely be sent out to live servers with Patch 11.14. According to the official patch schedule, League Patch 11.14 is set to go live on Thursday, July 8.

Riot dev reveals Ahri, Ekko’s original “broken” ultimates, and Lux’s ability to create stealthed for allies https://notagamer.net/riot-dev-reveals-ahri-ekkos-original-broken-ultimate/ https://notagamer.net/riot-dev-reveals-ahri-ekkos-original-broken-ultimate/#respond Thu, 24 Jun 2021 06:38:13 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34124 Riot August, the League’s principal champion designer, has revealed some of the “craziest” champion abilities he has ever created or been aware of.

Riot August is currently being on his vacation in the last two weeks and has turned into an incredibly hard-working streamer; instead of playing League of Legends, his major content focuses on addressing gamers’ concerns regarding the champion design process. During his stream on June 18, Riot August discussed with fans some of the “craziest” champ passives/abilities he and his colleagues had ever designed.

Riot August

To begin with, Ekko’s ultimate, which directly designed by Riot August, used to rewind 8 seconds of the entire game, causing everything from champions, minions, and monsters to reverse back to the previous 8 seconds. “So we have it in an insane team fights, like everybody will cast their own twice, two people would die and everybody else to go back and cast their own again,” he shared.

August’s initial idea for Yone was to give him a strong counterspell to champions with dashing ability. Yone’s original ability was to dash to an enemy every time it dashed. However, this ability caused some significant problems throughout the design process, thus it was removed.

In addition, Ahri’s ultimate used to be a very similar version of the character Storm Spirit from DOTA 2. “Ahri’s ult use to be similar to Storm Spirit. She can dash repeatedly on low cooldown, longer distances consumed more mana. Ahri’s R has this for a bit. Basically, this is before my time by the way so I’ve only heard the story about it,” he shared the story when he first joined the League of Legends design team.

Riot dev reveals Ahri, Ekko's original "broken" ultimates, and Lux's ability to create stealthed for allies 5

When asked which ability was responsible for so many irritating bugs, Riot August quickly mentioned Lux’s W. Initially, this skill could ship stealthed for allies. This mechanism has remained in place until one week before the release of champion Lux, but it caused so many game bugs that the design team was forced to remove it, according to Riot August.

Looking at Riot August’s shares above, characters such as Ekko, Lux, Yone and Ahri have been tested extremely “broken” abilities, and even Ekko’s ability to literally rewind the entire game is arguably the “craziest” ability available in any game, not just League of Legends. Fortunately, the above-mentioned approaches are not implemented in the live server, otherwise, such champions will be unable to achieve balance.

Riot reveals the upcoming League champions to receive Prestige skin for the rest of 2021 https://notagamer.net/riot-reveals-prestige-skins-for-the-rest-of-2021/ https://notagamer.net/riot-reveals-prestige-skins-for-the-rest-of-2021/#respond Wed, 23 Jun 2021 04:38:04 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34184 In addition to Kayn Prestige skin reveal, Riot also confirms that Pantheon, LeBlanc, Morgana, Brand, and Volibear are scheduled to receive Prestige skins in 2021.

Riot stated in a new game update blog that more Prestige skins, both new and old, would be added to the game throughout the remainder of 2021. For this year, champions include Fiora, Lulu, Sylas and the newly announced skin for Pantheon were recently unveiled their scheduled Prestige skin variants. Kayn, Volibear, and Brand, on the other hand, are expected to get one for their new skins, which are scheduled to arrive by the end of the year.

Prestige skin

LeBlanc is going to get Prestige skins as well, however, all of which are only available throughout their respective events—that is, they will no longer be accessible for purchase when the event has ended. It is unknown if these skins will be available for purchase in the future, as all Prestige skins have a relatively small possibility of dropping through chests and skin shards.

Battle Academia Leona, Conqueror Jax, PROJECT: Zed and the unannounced edition Prestige for older Morgana skin also include in the Prestige Points shop this year. According to Riot, this skin normally costs 975 RP for Morgana, therefore it will be adding visual effects to the skin to meet the quality that it expects from this cosmetic rarity.

The previously announced skins that will join the 2020 Prestige Point shop skins—True Damage Senna, Coven Zyra, Arcanist Zoe, True Damage Yasuo, and Star Guardian Soraka—when the shop reopens later this year. Prestige Points obtained in 2020 and 2021 can be used on any of these skins, regardless of the release date.

Before the end of 2021, players can expect new Prestige skins for Kayn, Volibear, Brand, LeBlanc, and Morgana, as well as and the later unannounced return of the Prestige Point shop.

Riot hints at a possible new League champion, as well as potential Vayne and Graves skins through Sentinels of Light web puzzle https://notagamer.net/new-league-champion-sentinels-of-light-web-puzzle/ https://notagamer.net/new-league-champion-sentinels-of-light-web-puzzle/#respond Tue, 22 Jun 2021 04:16:29 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34127 It’s possible that we’re looking at the newest member of Sentinels of Light.

Earlier today, Riot Games released a new Ruination-related web puzzle, introducing a different artwork featuring Viego, Senna, Lucian, Gwen, Thresh, and possibly a new, undefined champion. However, League of Legends fans is expected for one of the biggest events of the year.

In the bottom right of the art, the champion swings in action as he is armed with a weapon that resembles a grapple gun. The page includes a wordmark that states at the bottom “Sentinels of light,” with two dates that probably indicate how long the event lasts (July 8 to Aug. 10).

 Sentinels of Light.
Sentinels of Light – Ruination Event

League fans believe this new champion’s name is Akshan since a message within the puzzle’s source code says, “To the Sentinels—in the event of my death, I appoint Akshan as my successor, to inherit my weapon and keep Shurima protected from the forces of undeath. May you one day find us, Shadya.” Akshan is also the password for the last page of the puzzle, which takes players to the artwork of the Sentinels of Light. Many people thus believe that this is the name of the next champion.

Along with the potential new champion, two additional characters in the picture appear to be Graves and Vayne dressed as Sentinels of Light. The two marksmen likely to receive new skins for the upcoming event, as well as join the fight against Viego and the forces of evil with Senna, Lucian, and Gwen.

It can be seen that various logos from Riot’s popular titles are featured beneath the Sentinels of Light wordmark. The VALORANT logo is to the surprise of many people. The way in which VALORANT and League might cross-over–if they will–is unknown, yet fans should look for new details.

Divine Sunderer becomes the best Mythic item for Akali https://notagamer.net/divine-sunderer-the-best-mythic-item-for-akali/ https://notagamer.net/divine-sunderer-the-best-mythic-item-for-akali/#respond Tue, 22 Jun 2021 02:57:06 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34010 A League fan discovered that Akali will has highest damage output with Divine Sunderer.

Since the release of patch 11.12, the most popular Mythic item in the game has been Divine Sunderer. According to LeagueofGraphs statistics, Divine Sunderer has risen to the top 2 of the most popular item with over 52 percent of win rate. With the effect of inflicting additional damage based on the enemy’s maximum health, providing recovery and armor-piercing/magic resistance penetration effects from its mythic passive, Divine Sunderer proves to be the most comprehensive item at the moment.

Due to the widespread usage of Divine Sunderer in Patch 11.12 and 11.13, fans have tested this item on Akali. Her output damage from this item is superior to other AP Mythic items such as the Hextech Rocketbelt or Riftmaker. Notably, Divine Sunderer only provides health and AD stats but does not increase AP stat.

akali

Akali can take advantage of using Divine Sunderer as her kit interacts with AD stats, thus, you don’t have to worry too much about being short of damage when using this item. Furthermore, Divine Sunderer’s armor-piercing/magic resistance penetration is too suitable for this champion as it increases the amount of damage from Sheen passive as well as her skillset.

On the other hand, the drawback of this build is that Akali has to auto between casting skills to maximize the amount of damage. Therefore, it is required to practice a lot to be able to make effective use of Divine Sunderer as well as fluently Akali combos, Divine Sunderer promises to be a very powerful build in this patch.
