League of Legends is no stranger to bugs, both big and small, and these glitches tend to surface especially with the release of new updates or champions. Recently, following the 14.14 update, the community discovered an amusing yet problematic bug.

For reasons not entirely understood, champions utilizing abilities like Ekko, Illao, and certain aspects of Rengar while targeting enemy structures such as Inhibitors or the Nexus, fail to execute their leap. Instead, these champions appear to attack from an extended range, resembling ranged champions.

This bug was thoroughly investigated and confirmed by Vandiril, a prominent content creator known for testing and showcasing it. He conducted an experiment with Ivern and Rengar, revealing that Rengar, even without using his ultimate, could attack the Nexus from within a brush, bypassing the usual melee range restrictions.

The extent of this bug’s impact is still uncertain. It’s unclear whether it affects only Ekko, Illaoi, and Rengar or if it applies to all champions with jump abilities and attack buffs. Nevertheless, this glitch provides significant advantages to these melee champions during late-game fights, allowing them to safely attack structures from a distance, much like ranged champions.

However, exploiting this bug requires the enemy to be pushed back to their Nexus turrets, limiting its impact in the early to mid-game stages. Thus, while it presents a notable advantage in certain situations, it doesn’t offer an overwhelming benefit for consistent rank climbing. Despite this, it is significant enough that Riot Games will need to address it promptly to maintain game balance and fairness.

In summary, this bug, although humorous at first glance, creates an unfair advantage for specific champions when attacking key enemy structures. Riot Games will likely prioritize a fix to ensure the gameplay consistency.

Patch 12.9 Preview: Olaf and Taliyah mini-rework, along with other buffs and nerfs 8
Image via Riot Games

Riot has released a preview of patch 12.9, offering players an early peek at which champions and items will be buffed and nerfed in the game’s upcoming patch

According to lead designer Riot Phroxzon, the forthcoming patch will bring buffs and nerfs to a total of 10 champions, including adjustments to Olaf, Taliyah, and Pyke, and Hullbreaker, which is being substantially nerfed.

The “highlights” of patch 12.9, according to the post, are essentially the adjustments coming to Olaf and Taliyah, both of whom have been predominantly played in the jungle in recent years.

Riot Games has taken a number of approaches, including a mini-rework for changing the kits of some League of Legends champions that have fallen out of the meta in order to make them more viable choices as the League’s champion roster changes, and Taliyah and Olaf are on board.

Riot August has already revealed the “mid-scope updates” for Taliyah and Olaf are in the works but will not be available on live servers for many months. The pre-release versions of them have also been announced and currently waiting for patch 12.9 to go live.

As for the buffs and nerfs, Braum and Thresh, two support champions, are getting buffs in the patch. They join Hecarim and Varus as the only champions on the League roster whose strength will be directly increased in patch 12.9.

Rengar, Nidalee, and Master Yi will be the three junglers that will be nerfed because of their recent playing time. We’re all aware of the Sion’s passive nerf to damaging towers, thus there’s no need to discuss it.

More information on these buffs and nerfs will be released later on, probably tomorrow. According to the game’s official patch schedule, League of Legends patch 12.9 will be available on May 11. The Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), which starts on May 10, will be played on patch 12.8.

Rengar's win rate surged in the top lane after season 12 changes 11

Rengar has been on Riot’s attention for almost a year before his rework was released in LoL patch 12.6. After several changes, each patch presumably fiddling with a new skill before being deleted, a slew of “good adjustments” ultimately went live in patch 12.6.

His overall win rate has increased somewhat, rising from roughly 47 to 48.5%. Given Riot’s initial goal of making Rengar simpler to learn, the buff was undoubtedly a success.

The significant difference, though, is in high elo. He is now considered an S-tier champion in both the jungle and the top lane, according to statistics from Lolalytics. Rengar has an incredible 52.8% win rate in the jungle at Diamond+ and is banned in more than a quarter of League games. The figure is even more surprising in the top lane, given his main position is in the jungle, yet his win rate rises to over 52.86% in the top lane.

The changes were so significant that Riot eventually had to nerf him. In the upcoming patch 12.7, Rengar top is getting a nerf with decreased tower damage on Q, but jungle players may rejoice since he’s getting a buff there with additional monster damage on his W, making his jungle clear even faster.

Riot is also wanting to shake things up with more metas coming in MSI 2022, and perhaps Rengar is one of them. With the tournament fast approaching, Rengar might make his first international League of Legends appearance since Worlds 2020 for his dominance on the leaderboard.

Patch 12.7 will go live on April 13 and players should see the Pridestalker back in the jungle stronger than ever.

Riot Games tweeted the patch 12.7 preview yesterday, indicating which champions or items will be modified. The expanded patch preview for League of Legends Patch 12.7 was released today, with a number of champions set to undergo balancing tweaks. This update will see a lot of changes in the jungle, with a few well-known champions receiving big improvements to their kit.

Wukong is probably the champion who receives the most modification in this patch since all of his basic abilities are all getting buffed. His Q ability’s cooldown has been reduced by one second at all ranks, and his W ability may now go through walls. His E, Nimbus Strike, will inflict an additional 30% damage to monsters, and its AP ratio will be increased by 20% as well, from 80 to 100%. As a result, the champion’s jungle clear should improve drastically, as well as his ganking potential with the W buff.

Karthus is also in line for the jungle buffs even though it’s nothing compared to Wukong. His Q damage against monsters has been increased by 10%, which should reduce the amount of mana required to destroy camps.

Rengar is also getting some changes to his kit after his recent mini-rework. The additional damage Savagery (Q) deals to towers will be lowered by 40% for the Pridestalker, but the damage it deals to jungle camps and monsters will be increased at all ranks to compensate for the severe reduction to his split pushing potential. This modification will odd to keep Rengar in the jungle.

Besides the jungle buffs in patch 12.7, Lee Sin is the only jungler who receives a nerf towards his damage. His basic attack damage, as well as the damage on his Q are set to be nerfed.

More changes can be seen in the patch note. According to the game’s schedule, patch 12.7 will go live on April 13 and players will see some significant changes in the jungle.

“New” Rengar can one-shot everything https://notagamer.net/new-rengar-can-one-shot-everything/ https://notagamer.net/new-rengar-can-one-shot-everything/#respond Sun, 06 Mar 2022 06:15:44 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=43013 Riot has lately been testing on some new updates for Rengar, but they are kinda weird…

In a recent post on his private Twitter, RiotPhlox announced some considerable updates to bring Rengar back to Summoner’s Rift. Specifically, his “new” passive helps him to stay safe in the early game and his Q improves the amount of damage dealt to turrets and other objectives due to new crit counting.

Rengar

However, on the PBE server, Rengar now can ONE-SHOT EVERYTHING with his Q. Not only camps, minions but also huge objectives like turrets, Drakes, Barons,… are all destroyed by just a Q.

"New" Rengar can one-shot everything 19
Turret?
"New" Rengar can one-shot everything 20
Drake??
"New" Rengar can one-shot everything 21
Even Baron???

According to the bug-god Vandiril, he had no idea about the reason why the amount of bonus damage scaling as crit damage rocketed to 10000%. Meanwhile, in Phlox’s post, that scaled exactly as the crit chance, which meant the maximum of that was just 100. As a result, “new” Rengar on PBE can deal thousands of crit damage no matter what the target is.

"New" Rengar can one-shot everything 22
10000%??? Riot???

This is obviously an extremely serious bug and it’s high time Riot needed to fix Rengar’s code. If this becomes reality, this game probably should be renamed into “League of Rengar”.

HOT: Rengar is getting reworked https://notagamer.net/hot-rengar-is-getting-reworked/ https://notagamer.net/hot-rengar-is-getting-reworked/#respond Thu, 03 Mar 2022 14:56:07 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=42933 Riot is working on their “upgrades” for Rengar to bring him back to Summoner’s Rift

Rengar used to be a nightmare to mages and marksmen due to his instant assassination, especially when his R is available. However, after multiple changes in the META, Rengar has gradually lost his popularity among the assassins.

Rengar

During pre-season 12, Rengar once became the topic of discussions on Twitter and other social networks. Sadly, the reason was that the Chemtech map lessened him a lot as it got rid of several bushes, which were Rengar’s “Holy Land”. Riot then gave him a buff that he could leap when staying in the Chemtech fog, but that seemed to go nowhere. That map now has already gone, but his power has not returned yet.

As a result, Riot ONCE AGAIN decided to rework Rengar. So far, on PBE server, he has been updated a lot from his passive to his kit.

HOT: Rengar is getting reworked 23

His passive seems to be the spotlight of this rework, however the [MODIFIED] looks hilarious as it has already existed. The decreased falloff time of Ferocity able him to trade easier during laning. His AD-increasing timer is also increased so that he won’t have to be risky in early fights. Besides, his enemies may find it frightening to face him due to his increased jump height and 25 of jump range.

Rengar’s Q – his main source of damage, now counts as critical strike and works on tower. This probably is a move from Riot to popularize Top Rengar as he currently can destroy towers more quickly. However, its new critical strike mechanism appears to be quite awkward as most assassins depend on cheap Lethality items to snowball in the midgame. Meanwhile, the critical items are relatively expensive and seem to be unsuitable for an assassin like him and this new mechanism apparently goes nowhere.

HOT: Rengar is getting reworked 24
Source: gamingnewsguru.com

His E now can use at the same time with leaping to smooth out his combo and also reveals the target for 2 seconds. His R is also upgraded to lighten a small area around the target in case he jumps into the middle of the enemy team and is slain immediately.

These changes are said to be extremely positive to Rengar’s power and hopefully, these will bring Rengar back to Summoner’s Rift. They are still being tested on PBE server and are planned to complete in patch 12.6, which will be published in the late March.

League Patch 12.2 buffs Samira, Rylai’s Crystal Scepter, and others https://notagamer.net/league-patch-12-2-buff-samira-rylai-crystal-scepter/ https://notagamer.net/league-patch-12-2-buff-samira-rylai-crystal-scepter/#respond Wed, 12 Jan 2022 05:43:56 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=41295 In the forthcoming League Patch 12.2, new chances will open up for a range of champions and playstyles in League of Legends.

League Patch 12.2 introduces several adjustments to the game, many of which benefit heroes and items that have suffered since Season 2022 began.

Riot Phlox, a League designer on the Summoner’s Rift team, went into depth about the enhancements that would follow League Patch 12.2. Many of these improvements, as well as the abundance of nerfs included in this patch, are presently available for testing on League’s PBE.

Many of the patch’s buffs revolve around restoring set damage to champions that incurred net losses as a result of item changes, like as buffs to Yasuo and Yone’s Q ratios and Samira’s R damage. Buffs to Veigar are also available in the mid lane, giving him a shorter cooldown on his Q and more stacks when killing large minions and monsters with his abilities.

Changes are being made to Nocturne and Volibear that will benefit both their solo laning and their potential in the jungle. The Eternal Nightmare, who received significant adjustments to assassin-centric equipment throughout the preseason, will now have increased HP each level and a higher Q AD ratio. Volibear will do more damage as his AD gain each level increases, as does the cooldown on his E.

League Patch 12.2
Image via Riot Games

Tristana and Senna round out the expected buff in League Patch 12.2, providing two marksmen who have fallen behind in the meta a little extra love. With higher basic HP and HP increases every level, Tristana will be able to survive in lane more easily. Senna was previously announced to be getting a stronger slow on her Q, and that change is likely to be included in this patch.

League Patch 12.2 also sees the introduction of Rengar’s final adjustments, as well as significant updates to Tahm Kench and Janna. The River King’s top lane strength is being altered, with tweaks to his E dependent on friends nearby, a larger Q slow, and a movement speed gain while utilizing his ultimate on teammates. Janna’s adjustments were previously announced, but they centered on transforming her into a more supporting enchanter rather than one who thrives on poke.

League Patch 12.2 buffs Samira, Rylai's Crystal Scepter, and others 25
Image via Riot Games

Mages will benefit from enhancements that will reintroduce two long-standing AP-centric equipment into playable versions. Lich Bane has a revised build path and now offers 15 Ability Haste with a significantly increased passive cooldown. On the following attack, it will now deal half of the player’s basic AD as extra damage, but with a higher AP ratio. Rylai’s Crystal Scepter now costs 2,600 gold instead of 3,000 and grants players greater health but less AP.

Players may expect the benefits to be released alongside Patch 12.2 on January 19. These changes stated in the patch preview are preliminary and subject to change before they are made live on live servers.

The patch, on the other hand, was on the minor side, with only a few improvements to the game, including the Teleport rework and modifications to some champions and Mythic items.

According to Matt Leung-Harrison, Riot Games’ lead designer for Summoner’s Rift team, patch 12.2 will deliver even more to see.

Patch 12.2 will see big changes to Rengar

Patch 12.2 will see as a bonus patch that features all the changes that couldn’t make it in patch 12.1. First, he emphasized a big change that should satisfy Rengar players, the champion is getting his passive (Unseen Predator) enhanced in the future release. According to the tweet from Leung-Harrison, Rengar will be able to leap while in camouflage, which also includes the camouflage zone from Chemtech fog.

This is actually great news since his playstyle differs from the past, ever since the appearance of Chemtech Drake and its zone. Rengar will no longer have to wait in the brush to close the gap between himself and his opponents.

Tahm Kench is another champion that will see adjustments in the upcoming patch. The River King will be tweaked to make him “more viable” in the support role. However, the developers did not go into depth about the impending adjustments.

Lastly, the developer stated that the balancing team is considering modifications to Lethal Tempo. Riot intends to improve the rune’s “better balanced for melee” since duelists recently are being broken, especially Top lane Yone.

According to Riot’s official patch schedule, the 3 key improvements that are being worked on for Patch 12.2, which is set to release on January 20.
