Kennen bug still existed in the game even after almost 2 patches

It’s not hard to encounter bugs when it comes to League of Legends. While some can only be in the game for about a week, Kennen’s issue has been around League since patch 12.6.

A bug related to his Electrical Surge (W) has affected the game since patch 12.6 went live on March 30. The error appears to have been identified by numerous players in the period afterward, and it continues to occur despite the game having been updated to patch 12.7 2 weeks ago.

According to video posted by content creator Vandiril, the bug is triggered by adding Mark of the Storm stacks to targets with Kennen’s Lightning Rush (E), then moving out of range and marking another target with Thundering Shuriken (Q). Without the glitch, only targets inside Kennen’s W’s range would be hit, however in this situation, the ability hits any targets outside of the range as well.

Shortly after finding that the problem is still present in the game, players from several discussion groups verified that they, too, had encountered it. Some assumed it was not a bug, while others didn’t even realize that the range is far wider than usual.

Kennen’s W bug is still in the game since patch 12.6 3

Since nothing was said in the latest patch notes concerning buffing the range on Electrical Surge, it’s safe to conclude that it isn’t being fixed and will most likely be addressed. Regardless, the issue concerning buffing Kennen has aroused alongside the bug, since the champion isn’t currently in his best position, and many believe his balance has to be reconsidered.

Riot has finally fixed Rek’Sai one-shot potential in Mid-patch 12.7 https://notagamer.net/riot-fixed-reksai-one-shot-mid-patch-12-7/ https://notagamer.net/riot-fixed-reksai-one-shot-mid-patch-12-7/#respond Sat, 23 Apr 2022 14:17:05 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=44649
Riot has finally fixed Rek’Sai one-shot potential in Mid-patch 12.7 4
Image via Riot Games

Rek’sai has a game-changing bug that people were using in ranked games, Riot has addressed the issue and resolved it with a mid-patch update

You’ve undoubtedly seen footage of Rek’Sai using her E, Burrow/Unburrow to one-shot champions, objectives, and even her own allies. After patch 12.7, this was assumed to be a bug, but it turned out to be a script problem.

Rek’Sai could dig tunnels beneath enemy champions, dragons, and even Baron, and the game would regard them as such. And they’d have 0 HP for a split second before regaining full health. As a result, Rek’Sai only needed to hit her target once to kill them. Since it was such a broken interaction, some users have been seen exploiting it in their solo queue games.

The Rek’Sai Exploit has caused a variety of complaints across multiples of social media platforms. Players demanded a patch for the exploit as it was costing them their LP. The champion can one-shot almost anything. However, her damage chart suggests that she deals relatively little damage. That’s because Rek’Sai did the final chunk of damage with an auto-attack. Because of the exploit, enemies already had 0 HP. After a few encounters, fans urged that Riot address this as soon as possible!

Finally, on April 18, Riot published a mid-patch 12.7 update to solve the issue of Rek’Sai being able to very instantly destroy targets with E.

Riot has finally fixed Rek’Sai one-shot potential in Mid-patch 12.7 5
Mid-patch 12.7 update

Riot has not published a comment on penalizing the players that exploited the bug to win games, resulting in a negative experience for everyone.

However, because this was an issue that players were intentionally using, users are anticipating a rapid response from Riot against individuals who were abusing this exploit. At the very least, the problem has been fixed for a while now and players can come back to their normal solo queue games.

New build: Navori Quickblades allows Zeri to dash every 2 auto-attacks https://notagamer.net/navori-quickblades-zeri-dash-2-auto-attacks/ https://notagamer.net/navori-quickblades-zeri-dash-2-auto-attacks/#respond Tue, 19 Apr 2022 02:22:08 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=44425 Zeri with her full-crit build and Navori Quickblades can dash across the Summoner’s Rift like a URF champion
New build: Navori Quickblades allows Zeri to dash every 2 auto-attacks 6

Zeri players were devastated by Riot Games’ balancing abilities when they unexpectedly reduced comprehensive figures from her basic stats and of her skills in the latest patch 12.7.

However, the team quickly released a hotfix since the nerf was a little ”overshot to restore some power to her in less than 24 hours after patch 12.7 was updated. As a result, Zeri is still as powerful as before. Even recently, after the buffs, players have discovered a new way to enhance her kit, which can make her even more powerful with the Navori Quickblades.

With this item, Zeri simply has to use two Q moves to fully reduce the entire cooldown of her E. This ‘urf’ interaction occurs because the interaction reduces in percentage and flat indicators. Simply expressed, the probability of decreasing reduction in percentages will always be estimated ahead of time prior to the flat CD. In this situation, the Navori Quickblades impact will be computed first, followed by the effect of her E.

With 41% cd reduction, she can just activate Q twice to regain her E. This interaction will allow her to dash continually in difficult combat. The mobility is more than enough to make up for the number of indications lost in the previous nerf. Zeri’s full-crit build in the above video is also pretty accurate to the current meta.

New build: Navori Quickblades allows Zeri to dash every 2 auto-attacks 7

Overall, Riot Games has yet to make any moves toward this interaction. We don’t know how this would turn out in pro play but it would definitely be a cool build for solo queue players to test out.

Ryze nerf in Patch 12.7 has turned him into one of the worst midlaners in the game https://notagamer.net/ryze-nerfs-patch-127-worst-midlaners-game/ https://notagamer.net/ryze-nerfs-patch-127-worst-midlaners-game/#respond Sat, 16 Apr 2022 07:38:00 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=44364
Ryze nerf in Patch 12.7 has turned him into one of the worst midlaners in the game 8

Ryze, the worst champion in League of Legends patch 12.7

Patch 12.7 aims to prepare the game for MSI, the year’s first international tournament. With the emphasis on professional play, one well-known champion, in particular, has seen his solo queue win rate plummet, which may not auger well for the next tournament.

Ryze, a champion infamous for seemingly continuous reworks since his introduction alongside the worldwide premiere of League, is currently suffering as a result of massive nerfs in Patch 12.7. According to op.gg, his current win rate is 42.11 % (lowest in the game) with a 2.32 % pick rate, and he is regarded as one of the worst mid-lane champions right now.

Ryze nerf in Patch 12.7 has turned him into one of the worst midlaners in the game 9
Lowest win rate in the mid lane

This patch affects both straight nerfs to his kit and incidental nerfs to Winter’s Approach, one of his favorite items.

Riot reduced the strength of Ryze’s Q scaling with his mana due to his increased number in pro play throughout the world. To balance off, the ability increased its AP ratio by 5%. However, this was insufficient to account for the most significant nerf to the item Winter’s Approach.

Winter’s Approach was heavily nerfed as part of Patch 12.7, both in terms of cost and the stats it gives. Due to these circumstances, Ryze now finds it difficult to rush the item as his first complete buy and lacks any other solid build routes to rely on, owing to how important it has been to him since its debut. As a result, Ryze’s win rate has plunged to one of the lowest it has ever been.

Ryze nerf in Patch 12.7 has turned him into one of the worst midlaners in the game 10
Image via Riot Games

Winter’s Approach first appeared in League in the preseason 2022 and quickly became Ryze’s core items for many of his builds. Winter’s Approach also evolves into Fimbulwinter, offering even better stats and allowing him to be tanky without risking any AP potential.

Pantheon buffs in Patch 12.7 might not be as strong as you expect https://notagamer.net/pantheon-buffs-patch-127-not-as-strong/ https://notagamer.net/pantheon-buffs-patch-127-not-as-strong/#respond Sat, 16 Apr 2022 03:54:51 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=44359 Pantheon hasn’t been played at high elo or in pro plays since Season 11, when he was mostly used in the jungle and flexed as top, mid, and support

With patch 12.7 arrival, Riot Games enhanced three of the champion’s skills, including his ultimate, in this pre-MSI 2022 patch, while lowering his base health regen to even them off. While these enhancements appear huge for him, they are unlikely to have an effect on his pro play pick rate in the current meta.

Pantheon buffs in Patch 12.7 might not be as strong as you expect 11
Image via Riot Games
  • Base Stats: Health Per 5: 9 >> 7.5,
  • Comet Spear (Q): Tap Q Length: 550 >> 600 Tap Q Width: 150 >> 120,
  • Aegis Assault (E): No longer slows Pantheon when moving backward,
  • Grand Starfall (R): Now falls 0.25 seconds faster.

The elimination of Aegis Assault’s slow allows him to disengage more quickly, and his faster ultimate is somewhat more dependable on ganks. Pantheon‘s only poke ability is Comet Spear, and its range has been increased while its breadth has been reduced. Due to the additional 50 units, he enjoys an even greater advantage during the laning phase against melee champions.

Despite these accolades, expert Nick “LS” De Cesare is skeptical that this will reintroduce him to the competitive play, especially in MSI.

During his League of Legends Patch 12.7 rundown, LS explained that the buffs isn’t quite as big in order for him to have enough damage in the game, while the compensation of the decrease of his health regen makes him more vulnerable.

“He doesn’t have enough damage or durability even with Aegis Assault to reliably engage upon opponents.”

“His dependency on items is so much greater than other champions who are supposed to be on a faster famine playstyle. Even when Pantheon is feasting, he’s not really feasting.”

To demonstrate his argument, LS used Talon and Qiyana Jungle, two champions that don’t require as many things to kill a champion.  Pantheon, on the other hand, does since his whole combo does not have the same potential.  Furthermore, he is less mobile than these assassins and hence more easily countered.

Overall, his base stats and equipment do not suit him in the current meta, therefore these modifications may result in making him somewhat stronger in solo queue but missing out some stats in competitive play.

League Patch 12.7 notes: Lee Sin nerfs, Yasuo and Yone buffs, Arcana skins, and more 12

Patch 12.7 of League of Legends is now live, and Riot promises significant improvements. With MSI just around the corner, which is set to begin on May 10 in Busan, South Korea, the devs are shaking up the meta.

MSI 2022 will be held on Patch 12.8, although this patch will serve as a testing ground to get things in order before the year’s first international tournament. The impending commencement of MSI 2022 is putting a lot of pressure on the devs, who are looking to tone down some of pro play’s picks throughout the Spring split.

Here is the complete list of Patch 12.7 changes.

Rengar's win rate surged in the top lane after season 12 changes 14

Rengar has been on Riot’s attention for almost a year before his rework was released in LoL patch 12.6. After several changes, each patch presumably fiddling with a new skill before being deleted, a slew of “good adjustments” ultimately went live in patch 12.6.

His overall win rate has increased somewhat, rising from roughly 47 to 48.5%. Given Riot’s initial goal of making Rengar simpler to learn, the buff was undoubtedly a success.

The significant difference, though, is in high elo. He is now considered an S-tier champion in both the jungle and the top lane, according to statistics from Lolalytics. Rengar has an incredible 52.8% win rate in the jungle at Diamond+ and is banned in more than a quarter of League games. The figure is even more surprising in the top lane, given his main position is in the jungle, yet his win rate rises to over 52.86% in the top lane.

The changes were so significant that Riot eventually had to nerf him. In the upcoming patch 12.7, Rengar top is getting a nerf with decreased tower damage on Q, but jungle players may rejoice since he’s getting a buff there with additional monster damage on his W, making his jungle clear even faster.

Riot is also wanting to shake things up with more metas coming in MSI 2022, and perhaps Rengar is one of them. With the tournament fast approaching, Rengar might make his first international League of Legends appearance since Worlds 2020 for his dominance on the leaderboard.

Patch 12.7 will go live on April 13 and players should see the Pridestalker back in the jungle stronger than ever.

MSI 2022 will have an entirely different meta – will T1 be stopped? https://notagamer.net/msi-2022-will-have-different-meta-will-t1-be-stopped/ https://notagamer.net/msi-2022-will-have-different-meta-will-t1-be-stopped/#respond Sat, 09 Apr 2022 13:56:24 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=44154 Riot’s dev team seems to be working on “fluctuating” the meta of the upcoming MSI 2022.

Throughout recent seasons, Riot has always had amazing movements right before an international tournament begins. Particularly, they give huge updates to some champions in order to create a brand new meta, which is believed to have made LoL much more interesting than any other MOBA games.

A thorough change in the meta obviously can have an impact on a lot of pro players. The ones who can’t adapt to that will easily receive an unforgettable defeat. With a team holding the domestic Champion title, leaving an international tournament at the group stage is no longer awkward. For instance, Funplus Phoenix at Worlds 2021, was surprisingly eliminated at the group stage despite having wonderful performances in LPL Summer 2021.

To “take after” this “tradition”, Riot is preparing a lot of updates for MSI 2022. The ones going live in patch 12.7 are showing us some indications about the meta in the upcoming international tournament.

MSI 2022 meta

First of all, several AD bruisers are going to be considerably buffed. Some of them are familiar names like Pantheon, Yone, or Yasuo. Especially, Wukong is being given the ability of crossing terrains with his W, which allows him to get into the jungle to create outstanding ganks.

MSI 2022 will have an entirely different meta - will T1 be stopped? 17
We can’t wait to see what Wukong can do next patch

Additionally, AP jungle champions are also coming back to the Rift. Karthus and Lillia alike are buffed in their damage on monsters, while Nidalee was previously buffed. This will enable mid-laners to comfortably pick AD brawlers instead of gluing to controlling mages.

As we can easily see, Riot is probably willing to accelerate the game speed. The return of early-game ADC like Lucian or Kalista is a definite prove for this hypothesis. It will make the game “hotter”, rather than waiting for items-needed champions, specifically Aphelios and Jinx, to carry the whole team.

After the declaration about patch 12.7 had been posted, some LoL fans said that Riot was “nerfing” T1 – the team with a perfect Champion title in LCK Spring 2022, when Jayce, Lee Sin, and Ryze were decided to be hammered.

MSI 2022 will have an entirely different meta - will T1 be stopped? 18

However, these changes do not appear to make any trouble to T1. All of their players have an extremely large champion pool, especially Faker with 72 different picks in. If the next meta is the same as last year’s, Oner can use Diana or Nidalee, his “beloved” champions but were abandoned during the last Spring split. In addition, their youngest player – Zeus, can obviously carry the team in top-lane meta.

MSI 2022 will have an entirely different meta - will T1 be stopped? 19

Besides, LCK is the pro league having the earliest end worldwide so that T1 has an enormous advantage is that they have a lot of time to carry out experiments in case the meta changes completely. Still, MSI 2022 is being held by South Korea, so they will save loads of time to practice and their health will also be ensured.

New Arcana Xayah and Rakan will not have duo recalls, fans believe Riot isn’t putting any effort 20

Xayah and Rakan were launched together, and they mostly shared skins together (Except for Brave Phoenix Xayah and iG Rakan). However, with each shared skin, Xayah and Rakan received a new duo recall animation. Arcana Xayah and Rakan, on the other hand, will not include the feature.

Arcana Ahri, Xayah, Rakan, Ryze, and Hecarim will be available in patch 12.7. The recall animation is undoubtedly the coolest feature of the Arcana skin line. The champions strike a stance during their recalls, and a massive tarot card emerges around them. Yet, Riot verified on the PBE feedback thread that no new animations for joint recall were developed. This shows that they chose against including joint recalls early in the development process. And now, with the release date so close, they don’t have enough time to create a fresh recall animation.

Although not including the recall animation doesn’t affect the game, fans were outraged by Riot’s decision. The Reddit threads received criticism from fans who opposed Riot’s choice.

Another thread posted on the official League of Legends subreddit questioning Riot’s decision also receives a huge wave of nearly 14k upvotes in only a day. Fans believe that this is something similar to the case of Firelight Ekko not having any new SFX (even though it is a 1350RP skin).

Of course, Riot responded to players’ feedback and ended up delaying the skin. This also makes fans think that Riot isn’t putting any effort into some skins nowadays, or they just testing out if they can get away with making less work or not.

The skins are currently being tested on the PBE and will be available when patch 12.7 is released. Fans will undoubtedly hope that Riot tries to fix the mistake and develops a great duo recall animation for the 2 lovers.

Riot Games has made several significant changes to the League of Legends PBE server, including the addition of player profile borders. League used to have a level 30 account cap. Before you could play ranked, you had to reach level 30 and unlock every rune and mastery slot. The level cap was then eliminated in 2018, and players may now begin playing with entire rune pages from level 1.

The redesigns were shown by Skin Spotlights in a YouTube video, changing every single profile border from level one to level 500. While some borders have small modifications that maintain the structure of the present system, others, such as the level 125 border, have seen changes to their design and color scheme.

The borders appear to be cleaner and more realistic than they were previously. The former ones were a little too complex, with a lot going on. However, the new borders are simpler yet more appealing.

Riot is modifying the profile borders for the first time since its first release four years ago. And it is a significant upgrade that complements the League client’s revamp throughout the years to make everything appear more modern in general.

The improved profile borders will most likely be available on live servers with the upcoming patch 12.7, which is set to be released on Wednesday, April 13. The patch will also feature a number of changes to the jungle meta.
