Riot Games got accused of ‘stealing’ fan arts for in-game icons https://notagamer.net/riot-games-stealing-fan-arts-in-game-icons/ https://notagamer.net/riot-games-stealing-fan-arts-in-game-icons/#respond Thu, 26 Oct 2023 16:19:28 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=66283 Plagiarism constitutes a significant transgression within art, and it’s a regrettable reality that some artists may find themselves unwitting victims of such unethical practices, even from the most unexpected sources.

Riot Games using fan arts for Wild Rift in-game icons

Riot Games got accused of 'stealing' fan arts for in-game icons 5

A recent controversy within the League of Legends community has brought this issue to the forefront, as fans have accused Riot Games of allegedly ‘stealing’ fan-created art for the introduction of new champion icons in the Wild Rift Patch 4.4.

In this forthcoming patch, Riot plans to introduce new champion icons, two of which are centered on Zyra and Evelynn. However, the astute eyes of some community members immediately identified the artwork used in these icons as eerily similar to existing fan art. These fans contend that Riot has essentially taken this fan art, made slight alterations, and is now offering the modified images as in-game icons for sale.

What further complicates this situation is the claim made by yet another member of the community: the original artists supposedly never granted consent for their artwork to be used as official icons within the game.

According to reports, these artists contact with Riot Games to explore potential resolutions to this dispute. Intriguingly, this incident is not the first of its kind involving Riot Games, as the company had been previously accused of using fan art without the artist’s permission in the creation of in-game assets.

A notable example from 2021 involved allegations that Riot had utilized artwork from various artists to create the “Playful Pup” emote for League of Legends. This matter was eventually addressed by the game’s developers, and former game director Jonathan “Bellissimoh” Belliss acknowledged the error.

He also explained that Riot frequently collaborates with external artists when creating in-game icons, which introduces the possibility of some artists passing off others’ work as their own in attempts to have it featured in the game.

The response from Riot Games regarding these allegations is still pending, leaving fans eager for an official statement. As the controversy unfolds, there is a reasonable expectation that Riot may opt to remove the contested icons, thereby navigating the delicate terrain of intellectual property rights in the world of digital art.

New K/DA CODE: PINK skin concepts revealed and it’s an absolute beauty! https://notagamer.net/k-da-code-pink-skin-concepts/ https://notagamer.net/k-da-code-pink-skin-concepts/#respond Wed, 23 Aug 2023 17:50:46 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=64172 This new skin concept is blowing my mind!

The new ‘K/DA CODE PINK’ skin designs have recently gone viral across multiple social media, with League of Legends fans pleading for an extension of the skin line.

The K/DA and K/DA All Out skins have been among the most popular League of Legends skins introduced during the game’s long history. While it’s nearly impossible to know how many of these skins were sold, the popularity of both skin lines makes it difficult to believe they didn’t make any profits.

However, it’s been years since we’ve seen a new set of skins for the 4 champions: Evelynn, Kai’Sa, Ahri, Akali, and even Seraphine in the popular K-pop skins.

This prompted some League of Legends fans to create a BLACKPINK-inspired skin line known as ‘K/DA CODE: PINK,’ which has gone viral on social media.

League of Legends inspired K/DA CODE PINK skins

A fan-created design for BLACKPINK-inspired K/DA skins has gone popular on social media, leading some fans to believe they were actually official Riot concept art.

3 talented artists, Emriikun, richydraws, and yoomyoom collaborated to produce an immensely gorgeous concept that truly connected with League of Legends fans.

The black and pink appearance not only fits the general K/DA motif from prior skins, but it also makes it extremely simple to pair with the K-pop group who inspired their style.

As if that wasn’t enough, they also created an entire animation depicting each champion’s character.

These were matched with in-game concepts aimed to approximate what these champions’ abilities and models may look like if they were implemented into League of Legends.

Though they aren’t completely animated 3D models, they offer fans and players a good concept of what the end product may look like as an idle in-game model.

Aside from that, this is one of the most large-scale fan efforts for generating League of Legends skin concepts. It remains to be seen whether Riot will continue the K/DA line by developing new music and skins.

Riot Games is extending its summer festivities to virtually all of its titles once more, this time in the shape of Soul Fighter: a fighting-game-style event in which players do everything in their power to win a tournament challenge.

The Star Guardian event was the summer event last year. Many new skins were added, as well as a new visual novel and the reintroduction of Ultimate Spellbook mode. Riot Games teased earlier this year that this year’s summer event will be the largest ever. Players were already intrigued after hearing leaks and teases about it.

While we’ve been receiving sneak peaks of some of the bundled material, Riot only recently released the Soul Fighter event. This event will offer a new Arena game mode. Riot has been promising the mythical 2v2v2v2 game mode for quite some time. In addition, a new “metagame” will be introduced to replace the visual novel.

Playing League may be difficult at times. We all have times when nothing appears to work and we keep losing. But have you ever gone as low as this streamer on the leaderboard?

We already know how League of Legends has a difficult learning curve. There are many things to get accustomed to when you are new to the game, and it may take some time to get the hang of it. Furthermore, smurfs keep on populating in the famous MOBA title, flaming new players who are attempting to learn the game.

League streamer has LP lower than 0

According to RossBoomsocks, one person who appears to be suffering with the game recently is the Japanese streamer mito_mimito, who has the lowest LP ever seen in the game.

mito_mimito plays on the Japanese server, which has little activity because League of Legends is not as popular in Japan, but she perseveres and has played over 80 games so far.

mito may have achieved the lowest rank in League of Legends ever despite some experience and preseason. Her lowest rank was Iron 4 with – 16 LP, placing her bottom on the Japanese leaderboard.

When you reach Iron 4, you cannot lose any more LP unless you dodge games, which the streamer has done frequently. Despite having this record, she is working her way out of the Iron division. mito mostly plays jungle and is frequently seen picking Evelynn.

Riot Games has finally confirmed the reintroduction of Spirit Blossom to League, following an original teaser. The Spirit Blossom skin line, which was first introduced in 2020, is one of League of Legends’ most popular skin lines. Many players still regard it as the greatest skin the game has ever gotten.

Syndra, Tristana, Soraka, Evelynn, Sett, Aphelios, Yorick, Darius, and Master Yi will be joining the Spirit Blossom skin line this time. Master Yi will also get a Prestige skin for his new look.

Each of these skins portrays these champions clad in light, Eastern-style clothes and adorned with mysterious pink blossoms.

When Spirit Blossom 2022 was revealed, many were concerned that the event’s skins would fail. Fortunately, players thought the skins were absolutely fantastic. Many people believed that their design, color palette, and aesthetics were appropriate for the theme.

It’s uncertain whether all of these skins will be released at the same time. However, they are expected to be separated across two patches to keep players interested in what is anticipated to be at the Spirit Blossom event.

Players may expect to return to the realm when at least some of these skins become available with Patch 12.19 on October 5.

The outcome of the event is difficult to predict. Fans of League of Legends will only have to wait two weeks to receive the full image of the event.

Top 9 finishing skills at a certain level of HP that are broken in league of legends https://notagamer.net/top-9-finishing-skills-at-a-certain-level-of-hp-that-are-broken-in-league-of-legends/ https://notagamer.net/top-9-finishing-skills-at-a-certain-level-of-hp-that-are-broken-in-league-of-legends/#respond Tue, 27 Apr 2021 06:58:26 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=31941 In League of Legends, the ability to finish off an enemy at a certain HP, which is only exist in a few champions that can do lots of damage in a blow.

Even though champions in League of Legends have a lot of skills to finish off the enemy, but the best shot must still belong to the ability to finish at a certain level of HP which is only exist in a few champions. Today we will have a look at top 9 strongest abilities that can giving the final blow to the enemies at a level of HP in League of Legends.

Darius – Noxus Guillotine

Starting off for this list we cannot help but mention the Noxian Empire’s fearsome “flesh cutter” – Darius. He possesses a powerful ultimate with the ability to finish off enemies and a mechanism to increase damage if he accumulates 5 stacks from his passive. With his ultimate Noxus Guillotine, Darius can uses it to finish off enemies in a way that can’t be more cruel with his massive true damage.

Wallpaper 4k God King Darius League of Legends LoL Darius 4k wallpapers, God King Darius wallpapers 4k, God-Kings - League of Legends

With the instant cooldown mechanism that whenever Darius kills an enemie, Darius can create a one-way teamfight by applying a hemorrhagic effect on all enemies and taking them down one by one with his ultimate. However, Darius’s ultimate also needs a lot of calculation and sophistication of the player to be able to finish the enemy at the right level of HP, avoiding the situation where cooldown will not be refreshed if you cannot finish the enemy.

Cho’Gath – Feast

Cho’Gath has long been remembered for the toughness of a tanker with remarkable healing power. For a few seasons, he has always been a terror and a nightmare for most lanes when he has a huge amount of stamina and a lot of damage.

Best 49+ Battlecast Cho'Gath Wallpaper on HipWallpaper | Battlecast Cho'Gath Wallpaper, Battlecast Alpha Skarner Wallpaper and Skylanders Battlecast Background

The more Stacks of Feast, the Void monster increases in size and bonus damage to his ultimate. If before, the player had to caculate the damage Cho’Gath so that he could finish off the enemy, in recent years it has become a lot easier when Riot added a visual mechanic, which shows the amount of health will definitely finish off the enemy. This makes perfect sense because tanker champions do not usually calculate too well as mid lane assasins or ADCs.

Kalista – Rend

There was a time when League of Legends appeared to say “if your team has both Kalista and Cho’Gath, Dragon and Baron will definitely belong to you”, showing the ability to finish off the opponent, even a Baron of 15,000 HP for these 2 skills.

110 Kalista ideas | league of legends, lol league of legends, league

Does not possess a mechanism that can display to definitely kill an opponent if they has enough spears in their body. Riot requires players Kalista to calculate the correct amount of damage and also rely on a little luck. When the enemy receives the required amount of spears, they will be instantly finished by Kalista with her Rend. However, despite possessing such a very powerful mechanism, this is an extremely difficult general to play when you have to calculate exactly the number of spears needed to defeat the enemy, otherwise you will lose the most powerful tool in the fight.

Evelynn – Last Caress

Coming to a charming and enchanting but extremely deadly jungler, Evelynn is the next name that possesses a skill that not only ends one but many targets if they are in low health condition. Luckily Riot’s grant of the kill threshold display mechanism similar to Cho’Gath Evelynn player would make it easy to determine which prey was in danger if her ultimate was up and ready.

Hướng dẫn giúp bạn làm chủ Evelynn và trở thành cơn ác mộng cho chủ lực của đối thủ - Liên Minh 360

Not only that, with a wide area, Evelynn can wait for the fight to break out with many enemies falling into low health to be able to defeat the most targets. In addition to the ability to finish off, the Last Caress also safely repels Evelynn back into the dark, allowing her to deal damage and retreat like a ghost and leave the opponent a grayscale screen.

Pyke – Death From Below

As a champion whose gameplay largely depends on his ultimate, Pyke also has similarities with Darius when he possesses a “branded” ultimate in League of Legends. Not to mention the intrinsic sharing of bonuses for teammates with 300 gold per kill. Pyke is also known as a Support whose gameplay is much more bloodthirsty than other champions.

ArtStation - LOL Fanart——Pyke 2, Herbie Wang

With his ultimate, when the enemy returns to a certain health threshold, their health bar will have a visual identifier so Pyke can immediately seize the opportunity without having to calculate too much. Besides, unlike other skills, Pyke players simply be ahead with Lethal items to finish the enemy at ½ health without stacking like Cho’Gath or Darius. Because of possessing so many outstanding points, Pyke is one of the terrifying supports with the ability to snowball the match quickly, especially in the early game.

Urgot – Ace In The Hole

As a champion attached to the image of a moving castle, The Dreadnought’s skill set, especially his ultimate, also has a mechanism to kill off the annoying and deadly enemy just like his own appearance. When the opponent falls into the death HP level and Urgot’s ultimate is still unused, Urgot players will also see the same visual display mechanism as Pyke and Cho’Gath’s ultimate.

Urgot Crabgot Splash by Mike Azevedo : ImaginaryMonsters

But neither a target selection skill nor a deadly X-shaped area like Pyke, but Death Drill is an arrow-like skill with a pretty fast flight speed. This also inadvertently makes Urgot’s ultimate very hard to hit, especially over long distances. However, if you are chained by Urgot at a low health threshold, you will be tortured by him with a screen that is not only gray but also has chains surrounding it.

Veigar – primordial burst

Even though he is just a tiny yordle with a cane, the amount of magic damage he can do to you is immeasurable. With the mechanism of accumulating AP every time he hits or kills enemy minions and champions, he can store an average of 100 to 200 bonus magic damage per match.

Elisenwolf. For more league of legends pins follow! | Veigar league of legends, Leona league of legends, Imagens aleatórias

That also means that if you leave him uncontrollably strong in the laning phase, you will definitely get tons of damage on you with one ultimate target. Although it does not possess a death visual display mechanism like the aforementioned skills, Veigar’s massive burst of damage is more than enough to send any enemy off to the fountain at 25% of your HP bar.

Kha’zik – Taste Their Fear

Compare with the same level of current assassins, you will have to put together a set of combos to be able to kill or draw the target’s HP, but with Kha’zix it is different. He is one of the rare generals possessing unique moves that can double the damage dealt when the enemy goes alone or separately from soldiers and comrades.

See the source image

When the enemy is present with an isolated mark on the person, even if they have enough blood, a pale Kha’zix is still more than capable of being able to finish them off in a short time. Meanwhile, if the amount of enemy blood is not much, just a Q with in-house attachment plus key gems and equipped with Pirate Guns is enough to make the opponent quietly watch the match with a gray screen.

Karthus – Requiem

Perhaps we have mentioned too much about the Requiem but it would be a great omission if we did not mention it in this article. With an all-map mechanism, Karthus can deal damage to all 5 enemies at anytime and anywhere in the match as long as his ultimate is ready.

Although simple to activate, the complicated thing is that you have to choose the right time to be able to finish off the opponent if the opponent has a Zhonya’s Hourglass or is a tanker which is too sturdy. However, if Karthus is too strong compare to the enemies, this is no different from a death sentence that always hangs over their heads and once the enemy is close to their last breath, Karthus simply uses the R button to convict the ill-fated victims.

Wild Rift: champions targeted for nerfs in the upcoming patch https://notagamer.net/wild-rift-champions-targeted-for-nerfs/ https://notagamer.net/wild-rift-champions-targeted-for-nerfs/#respond Fri, 15 Jan 2021 11:51:25 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=28898 These champions are considered to be the factor for a serious imbalance in Wild Rift.
Wild Rift

Riot Games is seeking to balance Wild Rift gameplay in order to make players feel more comfortable with existing champions. Since Wild Rift has not yet fully been released globally, the game is still in the Beta phase and needs to be modified on a daily basis. After feedback from the player, the developer has planned a schedule for the upcoming update.

According to Alexander Huang’s tweet, League of Legends: Wild Rift lead balance, they are about to nerf Evelynn, Gragas, Lee Sin and Guardian Angel.

Evelynn

The ability to generate pressure during the laning phase will be reduced. Evelynn’s lasher was intrinsically sharp, paired with a high mobility and crown control effect that compelled mage champions like Lux and Ahri to stand safely under the turret.

Gragas

Gragas is one of the champions who can perform in various roles His overwhelming damage and crowd control make players feel irritated when dealing with this guy.

Lee Sin

The problem of Lee Sin is not clear, but once the player has mastered him, the Blind Monk will destroy the game easily. And recently, a player has discovered a Lee Sin’s bug that could not activate Safeguard right after using Sonic Wave.

Guardian Angel

Since the end of last year, this most obnoxious item has been requested to be nerfed. Guardian Angel has made a great deal of use thanks to its decent stat bonus with revive passive but at a very low price. Many ADCs purchase this item as soon as possible to help them drag more time to wait for their teammates to react.

Riot Games has not confirmed the release date of the next update, nor specifics for the above-targeted changes. However, these changes are promisingly balanced the current meta, as most players foresee in addition to the thrilling events.
