This realignment is part of Riot Games’ efforts to refocus on areas that resonate more with players, while concurrently scaling back commitments to less impactful endeavors.

Riot Games announced the closure of Riot Forge

In a comprehensive player update, Riot Games elaborated on its commitment to concentrate on player-centric initiatives and disclosed the specific impact on two prominent projects. The Runeterra card game, Legends of Runeterra, and the Riot Forge initiative are set to undergo substantial alterations.

Riot Forge, a platform enabling players to delve into the rich lore of League of Legends through single-player experiences, will halt new game development after the launch of its sixth title, “Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story” on February 21.

Riot Games has closed Riot Forge and fired 11% of employees 2

Riot Forge, functioning as a publisher, collaborated with various independent studios, each contributing distinct styles and gameplay approaches to create 6 titles that expanded upon the continually evolving narrative of League of Legends.

Alongside the cessation of Riot Forge’s new game development, Legends of Runeterra will transition its focus towards sustainability rather than introducing new updates. Financial challenges are cited as the primary reason for this shift, prompting the game to emphasize the PvE Path of Champions mode.

This pivot allows the remaining development team to explore and experiment more extensively within that space.

While the announcement leaves the future of Riot Forge uncertain, with no clear indication of revival in the near term, Riot Games remains committed to prioritizing projects that align with player interests.

Single-player projects in a similar vein may not be immediate priorities for the company, emphasizing its dedication to strategic realignment and optimization of resources. The company’s ongoing commitment to its player community, combined with these organizational adjustments, aims to ensure a more focused and impactful approach to game development in the future.

Riot Games addressed Exclusive Skins issues across various titles https://notagamer.net/riot-games-exclusive-skins-issues/ https://notagamer.net/riot-games-exclusive-skins-issues/#respond Wed, 20 Sep 2023 02:16:44 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=65129 Riot Games recently addressed the issue of exclusive skins across their various titles in a Twitter thread

In recent years, cosmetics have become a crucial aspect of Riot Games, not only in League of Legends but also in other Riot Games’ titles like VALORANT, Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra.

To cater to the individual player bases of these games, Riot introduced exclusive skins that were only available within a specific game. While this pleased players, it didn’t sit well with those who played other Riot titles, particularly within the League of Legends universe.

Star Guardian Wild Rift x LoL

Players noted the thematic similarities between League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, and Wild Rift, leading them to question why certain games had exclusive skins. Riot has since begun the process of porting some Wild Rift skins into League of Legends, such as some of the Star Guardian skins.

In response to the discussion, Matt Buchholtz, Riot’s Lead of Legends of Runeterra, clarified that skins are not locked exclusively to one game.

He explained that different teams at Riot create exclusive skins for their respective IPs, which means these skins may not appear in all games simultaneously. However, some skin lines, like Star Guardian and Soul Fighter, are shared across multiple games.

Buchholtz encouraged players to voice their preferences and requests regarding skins in their favorite Riot games’ titles. Riot is open to considering players’ feedback, although he emphasized that requests should be made respectfully and constructively.

Riot has a history of taking player feedback into account, as long as it’s conveyed in a constructive manner. He also provided information on where players can share their feedback.

In summary, this development is welcome news for players who wish to see their favorite skins appear in other Riot Games’ title. Players are encouraged to communicate their preferences, and Riot will internally discuss these requests.

The past year has shown that Riot is willing to listen to players’ feedback when it’s expressed in a different manner.

Legends of Runeterra is a card game based on the League of Legends universe. As a result, both games have numerous parallels, particularly in terms of cosmetics.

Many skin lines are available in both League and LoR. Battle Academia, Spirit Blossom, Star Guardian, Arclight, and many more. Not only that, but Legends of Runeterra, as much as Wild Rift, has several exclusive and unique skin lines. The Corrupted skin line is the most recently released and probably the best skin line Riot has ever made.

Enable 2FA your Riot Games account now and get free rewards https://notagamer.net/enable-2fa-your-account-now-and-get-free-rewards/ https://notagamer.net/enable-2fa-your-account-now-and-get-free-rewards/#respond Tue, 18 Oct 2022 06:45:50 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=53471 Since Riot Games has made two-factor authentication (2FA) available, users of League of Legends and Valorant can now increase the security of their accounts. This is how to enable two-factor authentication for anything Riot if you want to protect your skins.

You should safeguard your skins and other in-game stuff if you have a League of Legends, Valorant, or Legends of Runeterra account that is worth thousands of dollars. This is why it’s crucial to enable 2FA on your Riot account.

Enable 2FA your Riot Games account now and get free rewards 16

You will be required to enter a code that was supplied to your email each time you log in. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, your Riot account isn’t entirely at risk if your password is compromised.

The additional log-in security can prevent hackers from taking your hard-earned money now that players have the choice to encrypt their accounts. Riot even awards players for doing so, making the effort worthwhile.

How to get 2FA rewards?

It’s simple to enable two-factor authentication for your Riot account. Just a few clicks are required.

  1. Log into your Riot Games account
  2. Go to the two-factor authentication tab
  3. Click “Enable”
  4. You will be sent an email to the one associated with your account. Open it and click “Enable two-factor authentication”.
  5. Your 2FA is now set up and your Riot account is better protected.

There is only one two-factor authentication technique available for now, and it uses email. Riot’s 2FA solution is not presently integrated with well-known authentication programs like Google Authenticator and Authy, although developers are considering doing so in the future.

Enable 2FA your Riot Games account now and get free rewards 17

However, that added layer of security might mean the difference between a hacker accessing your League of Legends, Valorant, or Legends of Runeterra account, which could cost you thousands of dollars, and keeping your skins and other things secure.

Riot is attempting to get more players to activate two-factor authentication by offering in-game awards for League of Legends, Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra in an effort to increase the number of players who have already done so.

There are several benefits for anyone who has enabled 2FA or who may do so in the future.

  • League of Legends: Taliyah ‘Very Cool’ emote
  • Valorant: ‘Keep it Safer’ Gun Buddy
  • Legends of Runeterra: Rare Prismatic Chest
  • Teamfight Tactics: Little Legend Egg

LilyPichu got to voice-acting as Master Yi’s follower https://notagamer.net/lilypichu-got-to-voice-acting-as-master-yis-follower/ https://notagamer.net/lilypichu-got-to-voice-acting-as-master-yis-follower/#respond Wed, 07 Sep 2022 14:17:09 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=50990 Lily “LilyPichu” Ki, a YouTuber and OfflineTV member, has been playing, streaming, and producing League of Legends material for more than ten years. She is currently recognized by Riot Games as a voice actress.

She revealed that she is the voice of Disciple of Doran in the League of Legends strategic card game, Legends of Runeterra, on her Twitter account as she celebrated this professional milestone.

Lily’s character appears in exclusive interactions for the Worldwalker expansion set, which was first made available on May 25, in the game’s patch 3.14.

LilyPichu – Disciple of Doran’s voice actor

LilyPichu essentially portrays a modest member of the Wuju Order who stands in support of people like Master Yi and her immediate boss, Doran. Master Yi requests Disciple of Doran to fix his distinctive helmet, which Doran initially created, in one of her voice lines and interactions.

In the Worldwalker deck, the common card Disciple of Doran depicts Lu, a devout disciple of Master Doran. Doran, the master of Yi as you would have guessed, is also the designer of some of League’s most well-known in-game equipment, like Doran’s Blade and Doran’s Ring.

LilyPichu got to voice-acting as Master Yi's follower 19

Both Lu and Master Yi engage in the Art of Wuju, which is based on the idea of achieving complete spiritual awareness of oneself and one’s foe, in Lord of the Rings.

Here you may hear Lily’s voice lines from Legends of Runeterra:

Lily began her career as a League of Legends content creator before moving on to become a well-known voice actress. She is well-known for her parody songs “I’ll Quit LoL” and “Do You Want To Give Me Blue Buff?” She cosplayed various of Lux’s skins, including Academia Lux, because she is such a huge fan.

Riot Games published a sweet doodle of her dressed as Star Guardian Lux in July to honor her ten years in the business.

In the open-world role-playing game Genshin Impact by HoYoverse, Sayu, a 4-star Anemo, is voiced by Lily. She also contributed to the anime films “Belle” and “Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro.”

The Star Guardian skin line is one of the most popular in League of Legends, with Star Guardian versions on over 20 champions on the game’s roster.

And Riot Games intends to grow the skin line even more, making it their skin line with the most champions represented.

This year, League of Legends will introduce 12 new skins to the Star Guardian roster. The skin line event will also start on July 14, which is today.

Not only are we receiving completely fresh Star Guardian skins in League of Legends, but Wild Rift will also be getting some exclusive skins. We can only hope and pray that these special skins will be made available for the PC game one day, because they are stunning and would be ideal for League of Legends, not just Wild Rift.

First artwork of Reworked Udyr revealed in Legends of Runeterra https://notagamer.net/first-artwork-udyr-revealed-legends-of-runeterra/ https://notagamer.net/first-artwork-udyr-revealed-legends-of-runeterra/#respond Mon, 14 Feb 2022 03:32:57 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=42333 With the reveal of Udyr in Legends of Runeterra, fans have received their first glimpse at a new version of the Spirit Walker
First artwork of Reworked Udyr revealed in Legends of Runeterra 40

Riot Games has announced that Udyr will be the next champion to receive a full VGU. Since then, Riot has published numerous new concept arts for the Shaman.  Fans will notice clearly that the Legends of Runeterra release differs significantly from both the pre-release concept in League of Legends and his current form. Does this LoR adaption have anything to do with his upcoming rework in League?

Some fans may be surprised by Udyr’s new look since his concept has been updated and new components have been added to the Shaman’s appearance. Riot Games stated that they intended to introduce him to Legends of Runeterra, but knowing that it would have to come before the League of Legends rework is just unexpected.

First artwork of Reworked Udyr revealed in Legends of Runeterra 41
Original concept of reworked Udyr

This might say that Udyr couldn’t really be based on his initial design since it would rapidly become old, but they also wouldn’t be able to view the completed form of his redesign. According to Riot Games, perhaps they are revealing the Spirit Walker in the past with this LoR release.

Udyr in Legends of Runeterra is a younger man who has just returned from his trip to the mystical realms of Ionia. He spends time in Ionia studying how to control the spirits of demigods that strive to manifest themselves via him. The LoR version is obviously a younger version compared to the grizzlier and bulkier one from the concept art.

This new representation does offer us a sense of where Riot Games could want to take Udyr once he is reworked. However, it is not exactly reflective of the final form, which will depict an older version of him.
