Renowned for its fast-paced action and intense teamfights, Arena has captured the hearts of players with its unique 2v2v2v2 format, where strategic prowess and individual skill reign supreme.

Embraced by the community for its emphasis on raw combat without the distractions of farming or neutral objectives, Arena has become a staple of LoL’s rotating game modes. Riot’s dedication to refining the experience has been evident through various updates, introducing new augments, dynamic maps, and champion balancing to keep the gameplay engaging and competitive.

Now, Riot is set to unveil a groundbreaking update that will revolutionize the very essence of Arena. In a bold move, the developers are expanding the battlefield to accommodate a staggering 8 teams of 2, effectively doubling the player count and unleashing chaos on an unprecedented scale.

Riot Meddler, a prominent figure among the development team, shared insights into the extensive testing conducted on the expanded format, expressing optimism about its potential to elevate the overall experience. With the ability to accommodate up to 16 players simultaneously, the revamped Arena promises to deliver exhilarating showdowns and unforgettable moments.

Furthermore, the team has been diligently addressing the impact of recent game changes, notably the removal of Mythic items, which were absent in the previous update of Arena. Through adjustments and fine-tuning, Riot aims to ensure a seamless transition to the new format, preserving the essence of strategic diversity while embracing the evolving landscape of gameplay mechanics.

Despite the magnitude of the overhaul, the development team remains confident in their ability to expedite the release of the revamped mode. Originally slated for inclusion in the Summer event, the anticipated launch may even precede the seasonal festivities, offering players an early glimpse into the future of Arena.

LoL players criticized ‘horrible’ experience in the new play mode https://notagamer.net/lol-players-horrible-experience-new-mode/ https://notagamer.net/lol-players-horrible-experience-new-mode/#respond Mon, 25 Dec 2023 08:30:48 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=68363 The League of Legends community is currently in an uproar over what many players are deeming a terrible user experience in the recently introduced Quick Play game mode.

While League of Legends caters to a diverse player base with various game modes, including the highly competitive ranked mode, Riot Games has sought to provide more casual options with unranked alternatives. Among these, Quick Play and Draft Pick stand out, sharing similar in-game functionalities but differing in their character selection processes.

Quick Play, the newest mode to League of Legends, is positioned as the most laid-back option within the game. However, despite its intended casual appeal, players have voiced their dissatisfaction with its implementation, describing the user experience as “terrible.”

Quick Play took the place of Blind Pick, a mode where players were unable to see the enemy team’s selections, eliminating the strategic element of planning around opponents’ team comps. Quick Play allows players to pre-select their champion, role, skin, and runes, streamlining the Champion Select process for a more casual-friendly experience.

Criticism has centered on the user experience of Quick Play, particularly in the realm of selecting and customizing loadouts, with players expressing that the current state leaves “much to be desired.” Numerous comments have emerged, highlighting issues such as missing Mythic chromas, incorrect Summoner Spells, and rune resets, contributing to player frustration.

Given that Quick Play is still a relatively recent addition, it is plausible that Riot Games is actively testing and refining the mode behind the scenes. This suggests the possibility of positive changes being implemented in the near future, addressing the community’s concerns and enhancing the overall user experience of Quick Play.

As players eagerly await improvements, it remains to be seen how Riot Games will respond to the feedback and iteratively enhance this new game mode.

LoL’s Arena mode is making players more and more frustrating, and here’s why https://notagamer.net/lols-arena-mode-players-frustrating/ https://notagamer.net/lols-arena-mode-players-frustrating/#respond Sat, 16 Dec 2023 16:38:09 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=68143 League of Legends players recently welcomed back the highly anticipated Arena mode, which, after undergoing some changes by developers, aims to deliver an enhanced gaming experience.

The Arena mode introduces improved queue options, allowing players to form parties of 8, alongside the addition of new augments, refined final ring circles, and a more balanced champion roster, fostering increased diversity and strategic gameplay.

Despite the mode’s re-release generating initial excitement, the League of Legends community has swiftly voiced concerns and frustrations, particularly revolving around balance issues. Players have taken to Reddit to express their discontent, pointing to newly introduced elements and team comps as the primary sources of frustration.

LoL’s Arena mode is making players more and more frustrating, and here’s why 6

Criticism has not been limited to in-game dynamics alone; the community itself has come under scrutiny.

Some players contend that the tryhard attitude has drained the fun from what was once an enjoyable game mode. This reflects a broader debate within the player base about the balance between competitiveness and entertainment in the gaming experience.

Conversely, there are dissenting voices within the community, asserting that certain players may not fully grasp the nuances of the revamped Arena mode.

Arguments in defense of the changes highlight the potential for a learning curve and an adjustment period, suggesting that criticisms may be premature and that a deeper understanding of the updated mechanics is needed.

As the discourse unfolds, it remains to be seen whether the developers will respond to player feedback with further adjustments to address perceived imbalances. The tension between those seeking a more casual, enjoyable gaming experience and those craving a competitive edge underscores the challenge in a dynamic environment.

LoL upcoming Quickplay Game mode: Details, Release Date, and More https://notagamer.net/lol-upcoming-quickplay-game-mode/ https://notagamer.net/lol-upcoming-quickplay-game-mode/#respond Sun, 15 Oct 2023 16:07:03 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=65977 Quickplay is making its debut in League of Legends, set to replace the less popular blind pick mode in the upcoming patch.

Currently, players primarily choose between draft pick and blind pick for Summoner’s Rift games.

abilities

In draft pick, players follow a sequence where they select positions, express champion preferences, and engage in a ban phase. Subsequently, teams take turns choosing champions in a pick phase, with both teams aware of each other’s selections.

On the other hand, blind pick allows simultaneous champion selection without a ban phase. Team communication in the chat reveals chosen roles, and teams remain unaware of each other’s choices until after locking in champions. The match begins after a 10-second countdown.

LoL upcoming Quickplay Game mode: Details, Release Date, and More 7

Due to the unpopularity of blind pick, Riot decided to introduce quickplay, set to replace blind pick in the upcoming patch. Quickplay eliminates the separate champion select phase, allowing players to choose roles, champions, runes, and spells before entering the queue. Once everyone accepts the game, players immediately enter the Rift without delays.

For solo players, quickplay enables the selection of two unique roles and two champions, with one role and champion being designated as a priority position. For duo, trio, or quad players, similar rules apply, but players can only pick one champion. Additionally, everyone must have different priority positions.

In a five-stack scenario, each player in the lobby must choose only one unique role and champion, and a secondary role is not necessary.

Quickplay is set to launch after patch 13.21, scheduled for October 25, 2023. However, its availability will be rolled out gradually across regions, with no confirmed dates for all servers.

Wild Rift Soul Fighter Skins: Splash Arts, Prices, Release Date, and more https://notagamer.net/wild-rift-soul-fighter-skins/ https://notagamer.net/wild-rift-soul-fighter-skins/#respond Thu, 29 Jun 2023 03:22:10 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=62312 Riot has released all of the special Soul Fighter skins that will be available in Wild Rift

Riot holds enormous events across all of its titles every summer. This year will be no exception.

Around the same time last year, we received the Star Guardian event. It took place across several Riot titles, including League of Legends, Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and Teamfight Tactics. While the idea was similar, each game in this event presented something completely distinct.

Wild Rift Soul Fighter Skins: Splash Arts, Prices, Release Date, and more 9

Riot has recently released a teaser that teases much of the forthcoming content in Wild Rift during this event.  A new game mode, a new “meta-game,” new objectives, and, most importantly, new skins are among the major contents.

Wild Rift players, in particular, will be treated to an exclusive story centred on Yasuo and Draven competing in the Tournament of Souls, similar to those seen in previous Sentinels of Light and Star Guardian events. Those who wish to put their talents to the test can participate in the mobile title’s limited-time “Tag Duel” mode, which plays similarly to a tag fighting game.

The Soul Fighter cast will also appear drastically different in Wild Rift compared to Lol, with none of the LoL skins making their way into Wild Rift. Instead, Wild Rift will receive six unique skins that only its players will be able to use, including Nilah’s debut skin.

Riot has revealed the Deathmatch game mode with new Maps and Release date https://notagamer.net/riot-deathmatch-game-mode-new-maps-release-date/ https://notagamer.net/riot-deathmatch-game-mode-new-maps-release-date/#respond Sat, 29 Apr 2023 14:24:31 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=60527 If you’ve been looking for a new League of Legends experience, you’re not alone. For quite some time, many players have been requesting more game modes. Riot Games, on the other hand, has finally provided additional details on a long-awaited deathmatch mode that has been in development.

According to lead gameplay producer Ryan “Reav3” Mireles, League’s future 2v2v2v2 deathmatch game mode will go live with the 2023 summer event. This mode will provide a slew of new concepts and features that will be both entertaining and difficult for every player.

League of Legends 2v2v2v2 deathmatch game mode

Furthermore, the new mode will not take place on Summoner’s Rift or any previous maps. Riot has revealed that a new map is being created for the mode and has teased a few concept art pieces depicting what the deathmatch arena would look like when players initially enter the combat.

Based on the artwork, the map will most likely be circular, with each team starting in their own region. The map’s centre will include several structures where players can collide with opposing teams.

Some of the artwork includes bodies of water and shrubs dispersed throughout, which might allow for outplays and surprise ambushes from teams. These various map pieces should provide the mode additional variety in terms of gameplay and interactions with different champion combinations.

Champions in this mode can also increase power as the fight progresses by purchasing items, levelling up, and earning powerful Augments between combat rounds.

Not to mention that the idea was inspired in part by Teamfight Tactics’ Double Up mode, which allows players to team up with a friend for a unique experience.

A fan-made website calculating MMR for ARAM https://notagamer.net/a-fan-made-website-calculating-mmr-for-aram/ https://notagamer.net/a-fan-made-website-calculating-mmr-for-aram/#respond Sun, 17 Jan 2021 15:37:37 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=29047 Many players asked Riot to develop a Rank system in ARAM, and one of them solved the issue.

Although Howling Abyss has been a map of League of Legends for a long time, Riot did not make Rank mode for this map. Due to the high demand of players, a fan-created website, which shows MMR for each account on this map, was released: https://aram.academy/

At the moment, this website can only show data from NA and 2 sever in EU. However, this is enough to make the community, especially players who enjoy ARAM, excited about the new Rank system. Players now have more goal to reach, not only in Summoner’s Rift.

Besides, in some discussions, people theorize that Riot Games may bring Twisted Treeline back to LOL in the near future of 2021. The reason is the release of Viego – Ruined King, and Twisted Treeline’s location is on Shadow Isles – sweet home of Viego.

Moreover, people also expect to see Hexakill again. Hopefully, Riot will bring it back in Rotating Game Mode.

The League of Legends community is fed up with Nexus Blitz https://notagamer.net/the-lol-community-is-fed-up-with-nexus-blitz/ https://notagamer.net/the-lol-community-is-fed-up-with-nexus-blitz/#respond Tue, 04 Aug 2020 13:20:28 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=18847 The League of Legends community seems to be dissatisfied with 2020 Nexus Blitz mode.

The Spirit Blossom event has been extremely good so far as all the outfits and upcoming ones are successful, the minigames are fantastic and we should expect more from this event as Yone’s about to debut in the next patch. Even the fact that Riot Games describes itself as an anime company excites a lot of gamers.

While Nexus Blitz map with the Ionia theme is incredibly beautiful, it’s just like a beautiful shirt to cover up the fact that Riot created it quite superficially and has no intention of letting the Nexus Blitz remain in the long-term. The community also realized the “downfall” of this mode after a while.

nexus blitz

The Downfall of Nexus Blitz & Some Stats

According to Lolalytics, the player base has dropped 70% from its peak 1 week ago and the amount of game is continuously dropping day by day. I feel like this year will be no different than the introduction of Nexus Blitz in 2018 as Riot will not maintain this Gamemode permanently. What are your thoughts?

The League of Legends community is fed up with Nexus Blitz 21

“The golem sucks.

The elder dragon buff sucks(specially if it’s the first reward)

Dragon souls as rewards suck(this is supposed to be a party game mode they’re boring)

Some nexus blitz items are just so inanely strong on tanks.

EDIT: Also the matchmaking SUCKS. Easily the worst balance in teams ever in any game I have ever played. Dynamic queue on steroids.

The League of Legends community is fed up with Nexus Blitz 22
And hundreds of other complaints…

Dr. Mundo cannot be killed when he has Force of Nature

League of Legends is a champion-built game, so that each character in the game has different power thresholds that will affect the game. Nexus Blitz, though, made the snowball game incredibly fast, as one side was almost powerless because their strength threshold had not come and given up when the other side won too easily. This combined with Riot’s poor matchmaking system made this mode more imbalanced.

Furthermore, there are hundreds of errors in this mode, just counting those noticed by players, and making this “fun” game mode no longer true to its significance. It is worth noting that Riot Games made no improvements to the game mode. Even previous modes, such as URF, have also been modified by the publisher so that the game is not too difficult for players.

BEST BUGS in Nexus Blitz!

Maybe Riot should take care of this mode a little bit more, at least not make the difference between the player’s level is too great as it is now.

It will be a mortal battle between Night and Dawn.

On PBE as well as many other forums, the first predictions about the last skins of 2019 are also revealed.

League of Legends: After the Night and Dawn will have an event called Sweet and Savory will be in December 23

Most recently, on the PBE server has just revealed an event named: Sweet and Savory. As shown in the picture, a small icon of a dragon boat has been added to the Symbol store, with the note “… the Sweet and Savory event reward of 2019”

League of Legends: After the Night and Dawn will have an event called Sweet and Savory will be in December 24

So at the end of this year, in addition to test Aphelios, players also have the opportunity to experience 2 mission events and enjoy 2 great skin lines. This promises to be an emotional winter for players.

However, 2020 will be different when Riot Games representatives have announced that the other exciting modes will return.

League of Legends: One For All, Hexakill and many other modes will be reopened by Riot in 2020 28

Riot often creates in-game events based on skins, champions, such as Project, but their quality is declining.

They do not bring any new experience to gamers, the community regularly compares with old events and makes things worse. Do you have any significant projects and interesting events for gamers?

League of Legends: One For All, Hexakill and many other modes will be reopened by Riot in 2020 29

Riot Games: Yes, we received a lot of complaints and really agreed, this year’s events got worse and worse. We want each event to have a different experience and everyone is excited about it, so our goal will be to continue making events for gamers, giving more rewards, more stories. and more memorable things for everyone.

Here are the things we hope to achieve:

• Bring back game modes (both old and new) for events

• Upgrade the way that tasks interact with events

• Provide different challenges instead of farm-type missions, get your life or earn gold.

• We will begin to change soon, start with small steps and continue to achieve these goals by 2020.

The missions of the current events are too boring to be around the old ones. Hope Riot Games will bring the next interesting things to League of Legends
