Riot holds enormous events across all of its titles every summer. This year will be no exception.

Around the same time last year, we received the Star Guardian event. It took place across several Riot titles, including League of Legends, Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and Teamfight Tactics. While the idea was similar, each game in this event presented something completely distinct.

Riot has recently released a teaser that teases much of the forthcoming content in Wild Rift during this event.  A new game mode, a new “meta-game,” new objectives, and, most importantly, new skins are among the major contents.

Wild Rift players, in particular, will be treated to an exclusive story centred on Yasuo and Draven competing in the Tournament of Souls, similar to those seen in previous Sentinels of Light and Star Guardian events. Those who wish to put their talents to the test can participate in the mobile title’s limited-time “Tag Duel” mode, which plays similarly to a tag fighting game.

The Soul Fighter cast will also appear drastically different in Wild Rift compared to Lol, with none of the LoL skins making their way into Wild Rift. Instead, Wild Rift will receive six unique skins that only its players will be able to use, including Nilah’s debut skin.

League of Legends: The most impactful jungler in season 11 https://notagamer.net/league-the-most-impactful-jungler-in-season-11/ https://notagamer.net/league-the-most-impactful-jungler-in-season-11/#respond Wed, 29 Dec 2021 12:49:50 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=40835 In League of Legends, the jungler is perhaps the only position that may influence the outcome of a match from the start.
League of Legends: The most impactful jungler in season 11 8

Jungler is often regarded as one of the most challenging in League of Legends. This is due to the fact of their pathing, ganking, and objective control always impacts the outcome of games. 5 jungle champions ruled the rift throughout season 11 of League of Legends’ competitive tournament.

These champions frequently took over games on their own and had to be target banned in numerous occasions. They are also extremely popular among professional jungle players.

Xin Zhao

League of Legends: The most impactful jungler in season 11 9
Image via Riot Games

Xin Zhao is the first champion to make the list. He has been essential in controlling the meta for much the whole season 11. This is because to Xin Zhao’s ability to gank, combat, and farm quickly. Since his rework, he has become highly potent, as seen by his 41% pick/ban rate in season 11.

Picking this champion has clearly paid off since his 52% win rate is proof of his effectiveness.

Udyr

Udyr has mostly gone unnoticed in League of Legends during the last few patches. Due to his weaknesses, professional players presently don’t pick him much.

League of Legends: The most impactful jungler in season 11 10
Image via Riot Games

On the other hand, Udyr was once one of the most broken jungler in the game for nearly half of the 2021 season, with his 39% selection rate ranking second among all jungle champions.

Sadly, after multiple nerfs to his kit and to Turbo Chemtank (Udyr’s core item back then), his win rate has clearly suffered as it is now with only 49%.

Lee Sin

No matter how the meta changes, Lee Sin can always find himself at the top of the jungler’s leaderboard in both solo queue and pro play. Not to mention, Lee Sin appeared 99% of the time of World Championship 2021, with 37 picks and 45 bans.

League of Legends: The most impactful jungler in season 11 11

His pick/ban rate of 35% is the third-best among all jungle champions, and he finished the season with a whopping 54% win rate. The only reason Lee Sin is not first is that he was played as a top-laner most of the time because of the meta.

However, the fact that he was able to retain a top 5 place while shifting positions demonstrates his domination.

Olaf

League of Legends: The most impactful jungler in season 11 12
Image via Riot Games

Olaf is another champion who faded from the meta around late season 11. However, he was extremely powerful for a long time throughout Season 11.

Pro players enjoy Olaf for his ability to engage in enemies and team fights. As a result, it’s unsurprising why he’s ranked 4th with a pick/ban rate of 35%.

Viego

Lastly, the 5th jungler to appear on the list is the Ruined King, Viego. Having debuted around the beginning of season 11, yet he has become one of the most broken champions in the game with multiples nerfs and hotfixed.

While Viego benefited from a positional adjustment (top lane to jungler), he was able to retain a 30% pick/ban rate among them. Viego is an extremely effective and strong fighter.

Viego can turn games around on his own. He also finished the year with a 52% win rate, demonstrating the strength of the Ruined King.

League of Legends: Bot Ziggs and top-tier junglers will be hammered in patch 11.16 https://notagamer.net/bot-ziggs-and-top-junglers-hammered-in-patch-11-16/ https://notagamer.net/bot-ziggs-and-top-junglers-hammered-in-patch-11-16/#respond Tue, 27 Jul 2021 07:19:16 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=36172 Adjustments from Riot in the upcoming patch 11.16 aims to the champions dominating Summoner’s Rift.

If you still remember, at the outset of season 11, we saw the dominance of Udyr and Hecarim in the jungle due to their tankiness and ability to open fights. However, they later were nerfed and have disappeared from the meta since then. Recently, the jungle has observed its three new lords: Xin Zhao, Lee Sin, and Diana. Those bruisers have both high mobility and a long range of damage.

In addition, Lee Sin seems to be the most serious problem when he can work well in every lane despite previous nerfs. As a result, Riot decided to lessen them a bit to open the door for the other jungle champions.

patch 11.16 lee sin nerf

According to the latest announcement from Riot Jag, the three jungle champions above will receive some nerfs in patch 11.16, specifically on the jungler role for sure. Maybe their AOE skills like Lee Sin’s E or Diana’s Q will decline in their damage to slow down their speed of clearing camps.

Besides, the Bot Ziggs strategy has been appearing regularly in pro leagues and ranked, and its efficiency is extremely considerable. The ability to destroy turrets fast and snowball the match is huge pressure on the ordinary marksmen, so this nerf is completely understandable.

League of Legends: Bot Ziggs and top-tier junglers will be hammered in patch 11.16 14

Lulu is also included in the nerf list of patch 11.16 because of her enormous power when cooperating with Xin Zhao. Additionally, apart from Support, she also can be a strong mid laner focusing on protecting ADC at the late game. Furthermore, Fiora and Tahm Kench have been rising lately, so they will be adjusted, too.

On the other hand, there are a lot of champions coming back to the RIft, such as Jarvan IV, Maokai, Nunu, Sivir, and Jhin. Patch 11.16 also brings us a mini-rework of Sona and let’s wait for her performance.

A 16-year-old player reached Master on 160-200 ping with Xin Zhao https://notagamer.net/a-16-year-old-player-reached-master-with-xin-zhao/ https://notagamer.net/a-16-year-old-player-reached-master-with-xin-zhao/#respond Thu, 08 Jul 2021 23:18:14 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=35082 Surprisingly, the secret of this relatively young player is mid-lane Xin Zhao!

Recently, a 16-year-old player whose Reddit account named “u/XinMain” has reached the rank every player longed for – Master – in East Europe server with mid-lane Xin Zhao. However, the special point of this guy lies in his ping. He is living in India, but he is playing in East Europe server, so his ping always fluctuates between 160-200ms.

A 16-year-old player reached Master on 160-200 ping with Xin Zhao 15
A 16-year-old player reached Master on 160-200 ping with Xin Zhao 16

When asked about why has he been playing on the East Europe server instead of his home country, he explained that the number of LoL players in India is sharply decreasing. As a result, he had to create his account on the East Europe server as this one has the most optical ping (160-200 is the lowest one he can have). “Honestly, LoL in India seems to be a dead game. However, LoL: Wild Rift is completely the contrast.” – said him.

A 16-year-old player reached Master on 160-200 ping with Xin Zhao 17
In India, LoL: Wild Rift > LoL

About the progress of ranking, this Xin Zhao main shared that his way to winning every game was dominating the whole laning phase or making pressure on the enemy jungler. “Mid-lane Xin Zhao’s power at the early game is usually underrated by most players, so I am regularly able to slay them at level 2. If not, I would help my jungler to have the two all Rift Scuttlers“.

Xin Zhao

Let’s take a look at his playstyle. His build and rune always specialize in 1v1 in the early game. The ultimate rune he always uses is Hail of Blades, which enables him to activate the damage from his passive as well as his Q. The next one will be Sudden Impact, which strengthens him every time he uses his E.

The achievement of this player has proved the point that playing champions staying in the meta is not that essential. The bottom line for a victory is that you have to bring your team as many advantages as you can. Thanks to that, you would force the enemy team to play on your board, lose all the objects and the whole match.

League Patch 11.14 features nerf for Akali, Xin Zhao, Nocturne, and buff Graves, Darius https://notagamer.net/league-patch-11-14-nerf-akali-buff-graves-darius/ https://notagamer.net/league-patch-11-14-nerf-akali-buff-graves-darius/#respond Tue, 29 Jun 2021 11:52:35 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=34540 League Patch 11.14 is prioritizing on nerfing high-priority draft choices for professional play.

Prepare for some huge meta changes coming with the League Patch 11.14.

League Patch 11.14
Image via Riot Games

Riot Games appears to be making adjustments to a few prominent names in the current competitive League of Legends meta, with alterations made to certain champions who have already taken their position at the top of many teams’ priority lists.

Riot’s lead game designer, Jeevun Sidhu, has stated that champions including as Akali, Karma, Nocturne, and Xin Zhao, as well as Malzahar, Shaco, and Ziggs, would be nerfed in the upcoming patch. Some large bruiser top laners, on the other hand, will be buffed, including Darius, Garen, and Illaoi. According to the League Patch 11.14 preview, Taric and Seraphine will receive buffs, in addition to adjustments for junglers like Graves, Rek’Sai, and Ivern.

Dr. Mundo’s flexibility toward the top and jungle is being adjusted, while Tahm Kench’s flexibility toward support and top is being calibrated. Both champions have had their kits reworked and may require some fine-tuning to ensure that they are balanced in any role they pick. Irelia and Lillia are also getting some tweaks, but this time it’s more about how they fit into pro play formations.

Akali, Karma, Xin Zhao, and Nocturne have all had a significant influence on the pro meta, particularly in Europe and North America, with each champion increasing in pick and ban frequency globally. According to Games of Legends, Akali is being nerfed after being one of the strongest choices in the mid lane, ranking at the top with 153 bans across the four major regions while also having a 69-percent victory rate after 71 played games.

On the opposite side of Summoner’s Rift, players will need to wait for certain numbers before reacting fully to the benefits introduced in League Patch 11.14. Riot has had to be cautious about how powerful certain individual champions become, although boosts for certain bruiser champions were predicted when Stridebreaker was given substantial modifications, including the loss of its sprint. It’s unknown how Riot will balance these characters in the future, given that they may have to build differently.

Furthermore, Sidhu stated that the developer team examined the data for League‘s newest champion, Gwen, and how she has been doing. Anyone who believes the Hallowed Seamstress should be nerfed will be dismayed to see that “her solo queue numbers are fairly respectable in terms of both win rate and ban rate.” In actuality, she is only performing in the Western competitive regions, while the Eastern regions do not consider her to be OP.

League Patch 11.14 is scheduled to be released to live servers on Thursday, July 8.

Dopa believes that Xin Zhao and Lee Sin will soon dominate solo lane https://notagamer.net/dopa-predicts-potential-position-of-xin-zhao-lee-sin/ https://notagamer.net/dopa-predicts-potential-position-of-xin-zhao-lee-sin/#respond Wed, 31 Mar 2021 06:21:45 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=31166 According to Dopa, Xin Zhao and Lee Sin are inadequate for the current Jungle meta.

“Xin Zhao and Lee Sin are two champions who have caught my attention. It’s Xin Zhao and Lee Sin on a solo lane, I’m not discussing jungler roles here. Xin Zhao’s kit is now more suited to the top lane than jungle. Lee Sin, on the other hand, is no longer an effective jungler in the same league as Hecarim or Udyr, but the solo lane is a viable option. So I think these two champions would shift into very strong solo laners in the near future,” Dopa said during his latest stream.

As previously patch notes, Xin Zhao got a mini-rework with his abilities now having an additional AP rate and a new effect. However, his passive and (Q) have been nerfed for regeneration and damage instead, making Xin Zhao’s ganking and jungling abilities at the early levels no longer as strong as before. By noticing these changes, several pro players brought Xin Zhao to the top lane with critical build. Essence Reaver proves to be a powerful item when it provides damage, cooldowns, and mana regeneration effects. Furthermore, W’s damage interacts with the critical strike stat, so this Xin Zhao playstyle is expected to be very effective.

As mentioned by Dopa, together with Xin Zhao, Lee Sin is regarded as an underdog for the current jungle meta, and his pick rate has fallen drastically. Since Turbo Chemtank remains an effective item, champions who use it have risen significantly stronger in recent times.

dopa

In terms of gameplay, Lee Sin still possesses large burst damage output and high mobility in the hands of highly-skilled players. This champ can shine brightly in solo queue with his terrible snowball abilities. Hiena, a player at a Western European server, has been stuck in Diamond rank for four consecutive seasons, however, by using Lee Sin mid lane, he successfully climbed to Master rank in just a few short weeks.

It is apparent that Dopa’s predictions above are valid. In short, Xin Zhao and Lee Sin are expected to rule the mid lane and top lane positions in the next few patches.

Riot plans on Sona buffs by adding new mechanics that make her a “super late game” champion https://notagamer.net/riot-plans-on-sona-buffs-by-adding-new-mechanics/ https://notagamer.net/riot-plans-on-sona-buffs-by-adding-new-mechanics/#respond Sat, 27 Mar 2021 12:23:28 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=31100 Following Xin Zhao’s footstep, Sona is the next champion to get a mini rework in the next few patches.

Lead game designer Jeevun Sidhu today highlighted a few experimental Sona changes. Riot is aiming to “cement her hyperscaling fantasy in a way that doesn’t solely rely on needing lane farm” due to the preseason item system overhaul was more unfavorable to the support champ than its initial goals.

Sidhu clarified that Sona’s current mechanics for restoring mana appear to punish players rather than reward them since not playing with allies. The potentially experimental buffs would remove the mana refund mechanic from her Q, W, and E, no longer restoring mana after casting the ability on an ally. The abilities would have a smaller mana cost as well.

sona

On the other hand, Sona’s ultimate passive (Crescendo) currently has a cooldown reduction mechanic on all of her basic abilities. However, these changes would completely remove that passive. In order to make up for this, her new Resonance character passive would allow her to permanently stackability haste whenever she damages an enemy or assists an ally with her ability. There would be a limit to convert stacks into bonus AP for each ability.

To conclude, players now can easily scale with Sona thanks to these changes. As a support, she will get more power from the adjustments, but also can be more viable as a mid-lane pick.

Upcoming Xin Zhao upgrade will highlight his “unique ranged gameplay” and opens up new off-builds https://notagamer.net/upcoming-xin-zhao-upgrade/ https://notagamer.net/upcoming-xin-zhao-upgrade/#respond Tue, 02 Mar 2021 04:29:23 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=30384 Demacian spear-wielder Xin Zhao is expected to be having a makeover.

League of Legends gameplay design director Mark “Scruffy” Yetter today outlines the underwhelming jungler’s tentative changes, stating that game designer Tim “TheTruexy” has a “nice little upgrade” for Xin Zhao. However there is no set release date yet, the changes look to highlight Xin Zhao’s ranged gameplay and open up further off-builds.

The majority of the update appears to focus on Xin Zhao’s (W) Wind Becomes Lightning. It appears that Riot aims to bring The Seneschal of Demacia a return by outlining many upgrades including hitbox adjustments, a mana cost increase, extra bonus damage based on critical strike chance, increased range, decreased cooldown at higher ranks, and further support for an AP build.

Xin Zhao AP build is expected to be “weird” and relatively good with the ability to heal, skill damage are strongly interact with AP bonus stat. In addition, crit build can also be another choice as his W’s damage increases based on this stat, and Kraken Slayer or Phantom Dance is likely to be his core item.

xin zhao

Most notably, the upcoming W modification will Challenge targets and provide vision for three seconds. Challenged monsters or champions will be decreased the armor stat for three seconds.

It can not be denied that Xin Zhao has been struggling in the current meta with a lower 50% win rate in Platinum ranks and above this patch, according to Champion.gg. While the AP build will certainly shift him in a new direction, Riot seems to be moving toward burst damage and fast healing. This could also free up potential hybrid build that is not seen as frequently on the Rift.

These Xin Zhao changes are still being in the early stages of development as the devs are “still looking for feedback.”

Here are 7 champions who once had a peak OP period that was banned in every match.

Top 7 OP champions

1. Zoe

At the time, Zoe almost disappeared from Rank when her ban rate reached 91.21%. Even professional gamers must be afraid to confront the horror One Shot ability of Zoe.

In addition, Zoe also possesses skill sets that work too far. Regardless of whether you are a Tank champion or a damage, Zoe only need to combo E – Q to finish you off.

Not only that, Zoe also has the ability to steal Spells as well as the enemy’s activating equipment – too much for a champion “horror”. Currently, Zoe has some nerfs and is less used than before but scary of Zoe unforgettable.

2. Twisted Fate server test

The only weakness of Twisted Fate is that there are a lot of Counter champion Twisted Fate, rest Twisted Fate can comfortably the scary to the enemy. The ability to safely go lane, clear quick creeps with Q – Wild Cards, fight a Combat or catch with W – Pick A Card (Gold Card) + Wild Cards combo.

But what makes Twisted Fate an OP comes from his ultimate fast-paced approach. At the time, Twisted Fate seemed to be everywhere on the map, easily turning the fighting from 2vs2 into 2vs3, 4vs4 into 4vs5, … Apparently, TF’s presence in the lineup brought one The great advantage in overwhelming the number of people whenever there is a fight is that there is no way to prevent or foretell. Although it was a thing of the past, many people are still very happy (and shudder) whenever they remember.

3. Xin Zhao when he first debuted

If you don’t play League of Legends from the first seasons, you won’t be able to feel the obsession that Xin Zhao caused. On the reddit forum, when recalling the Xin Zhao many players have to pity.

4. Nidalee “1Q – 1 Kill”

Nidalee recently seems to disappear from LoL. Referring to the champion Jung, people immediately think of Lee Sin, Kha’zix, Zac, … But in season 6, Nidalee is one of the most favorite jungle walkers not only in the professional arena but also in Ranking mode. Saying that doesn’t mean the current Nidalee is weak, it’s just that she’s not suitable for meta.

Leaked new champion concept art: Aidyn is the next champion

Set the case to face a Q of Nidalle to see if you stop breathing for a beat. At the peak of time, Nidalee could take down a champion with just a javelin and no one dared to face 1v1 with her. But players can be assured, Riot constantly updating the new version is to take the champions to miss too long back to the Summoner Rift map.

5. Kassadin

Kassadin is one of the OP champions to the point of being riot nerf and almost disappearing from the Summoner Rift. His Q is used to silence, eventually Stack Mana when used continuously with R. The player at that time had only one way to prepare is Flash whenever saw him disappear out map.

6. Old Ryze

Top 7 OP champions in the history of LoL development 20

The old Ryze is one of the champions that no one can escape, his skill set to make W attack binds opponents constantly. The cooldown is reduced by casting skills that Ryze can throw Stun continuously. Combined with the old ultimate, you can kill people like a very easy machine. After being rework, even though there was no OP left, Ryze was still a difficult champion to balance, demanding Riot to constantly edit.

7. Jax immortal

Jax has been a gamer obsession since he was first released. Previously, Q – Leap Strike did not have to attack a single target but had an AOE effect, so he became more powerful in the fighting phases. This ability is even more intimidating with the amount of damage and a longer distance than the current time.

Top 7 OP champions in the history of LoL development 21

Jax’s next scary point comes from Counter Strike (E) has an “attribute”. Jax’s counterattack ability can increase this evasion attribute when he can stun enemies and can evade attacks.

This allows Jax not only to evade common attacks, but also to the skills of enemy champions or pillar attacks. At that time, Jax was almost immortal when he could comfortably take down the enemy and come back safely.
