Players who log in a total of 10 times throughout the event can earn up to 500 Treasure Tokens and receive the “I Celebrate” emote for free. Despite the conclusion of the partnership, Riot Games has assured players that any content unlocked through Prime drops will remain accessible on the player’s account. Anna Donlon, Riot’s Senior Vice President and VALORANT lead, addressed the announcement, expressing the team’s commitment to finding alternative ways to reward players for their engagement and gameplay.

The initial source of player discontent emerged with the release of the Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin Mythic Variant Skin, a cosmetic choice that garnered widespread disapproval.

Essentially, it was perceived as nothing more than an elaborate Chroma version of the popular Dark Cosmic Jhin skin. To make matters worse, acquiring the Mythic Variant skin entailed opening a staggering 30 Dark Cosmic Erasure 2023 Capsules. Given that each of these capsules carried a price tag of 750 Riot Points (RP), obtaining the skin translated to an exorbitant expenditure of 22,500 RP or an equivalent of $200 in capsule purchases.

In a familiar fashion, the Breakout True Damage Ekko Mythic Variant Skin follows in the footsteps of its predecessor. This recurrence of the Mythic Variant label inherently underscores the issue surrounding this skin, which remains a premium offering at the $200 price point. Nevertheless, it is noteworthy that some players continue to invest in such skins despite the ongoing debate surrounding their value.

Infinite Missions

Two types of missions, Infinite and Standard, will be available until November 27, 2023, for all players. The Infinite Mission rewards 200 Event XP for every 200 points earned by playing and/or winning games, making it a straightforward way to progress through the Pass.
