LoL Patch 14.13 weirdest but OP builds

Aatrox Overlord’s Bloodmail

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 1

The Aatrox Bruiser build made a strong comeback in 14.12 when the champion received a significant buff in his ultimate. No longer equipped with Lethality, Aatrox returns to familiar items such as Black Cleaver and Sundered Sky with stats suitable for dealing damage and staying long in combat.

However, there was one item that few people noticed that was very suitable for Aatrox, and that was Overlord’s Bloodmail. With Passives increasing AD based on missing health, this item will provide Aatrox with significant damange in combat, or 1v1 solos. In addition, the increase in AD is also significant as the current Aatrox is built according to the Bruiser gameplay.

Olaf Zeke’s

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 2

After Hecarim, another champion that is very suitable for Zeke’s build is Olaf. With a cheap price and extremely suitable defensive stats, Zeke’s is considered the third item that helps Olaf expand his power in a superior way in the middle and end of the match.

The passives from this item not only give Olaf more damage, but also provide the ability to slow down, which makes it better to chase down enemies when this champion does not have hard control. With the role of sweeping into combat thanks to his ultimate, Olaf is the most suitable champion to optimize the power of this equipment.

Of course, before that, Olaf couldn’t do it without some items with strong healing ability, at the moment, it is the Ravenous Hydra and the Sundered Sky.

Katarina AD Bruiser

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 3

Having emerged many times and then disappeared due to various edits, AD Katarina build is back in patch 14.13 with a very high efficiency in the Mid Lane.

Instead of the usual Blade of the Ruined King, Katarina’s first piece of item would be the Stridebreaker. Not only does it provide damage, the ability to slow down opponents, but the 450 Health stat from this item also makes Katarina stronger in the early stages. This makes it possible for Katarina players to be more active in combos to close down on enemy champions early.

Next, this champion will aim for attack effect items to increase her DPS, of which Kraken Slayer and Terminus are the most optimal choices. With this Bruiser playstyle, Katarina will find it easier to close in on enemy champions, taking advantage of mobility to disrupt the fight.

Nilah Death’s Dance

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 4

Instead of building in the usual crit build, Nilah is being tested by many masters with new item upgrades. The Essence Reaver will be available as soon as possible to ensure early damage, especially the ability to suck mana to spam while on the lane.

However, the second item will be more unique with the Death’s Dance, which is a common item in bruisers. Obviously, for a melee ADC like Nilah, this item will help players feel more confident in the fight. Especially with the bonus of 40 Armor, Nilah will have a great advantage when facing other Marksmen. In the end, Dominik’s Crossbow was chosen as the 3rd item.

Bard Warmogs

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 5

An extremely interesting gameplay in the emerging Support position is Bard in the direction of dealing Damage. This champion will be able to take advantage of Passives to create a unique set of items, thereby creating discomfort for opponents when laning.

Blood Song will be a necessary upgrade to increase Damage from auto attacks, while Wits End will give Bard more AD as well as a certain amount of MR.

However, just like the trend in recent times, Warmogs is the main dish that needs to be put on first as Bard’s unique build. With the ability to kite and inflict constant control, Bard has time to pull in combat, thereby making good use of Warmogs’ passive.

LoL devs hinted at Katarina buffs in upcoming changes https://notagamer.net/lol-devs-katarina-buffs-upcoming-changes/ https://notagamer.net/lol-devs-katarina-buffs-upcoming-changes/#respond Tue, 24 Oct 2023 07:44:33 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=66170 Katarina may receive buffs in the near future, as suggested by Riot August, who is concerned about her low win rate.

Katarina is known for her ability to unleash devastating pentakills, striking fear into squishy champions. A well-fed Katarina can single-handedly dominate a game, however, her impact seems to diminish as you climb the ranked ladder.

Katarina’s performance has been lackluster lately, evident in her win rate in Patch 13.20, according to League statistic op.gg. Riot August, during one of his recent Twitch streams, discussed champions with minimal presence in professional play, and Katarina naturally came up. She’s rarely chosen by pro players, primarily because her design doesn’t align with the pro play style.

According to Riot August, Katarina is in need of buffs. Currently, her win rate hovers at 48.80% across all ranks. He believes that Katarina mains’ skill and dedication have a more significant impact on her win rate compared to non-mains. This makes sense since Katarina is a high-skill-floor champion which attracts dedicated one-trick players.

Despite her dominating reputation, even skilled Katarina mains struggle to achieve victory with her. What often goes unnoticed is her weak laning phase. If Katarina can’t secure an advantage through roaming, her value in the game diminishes.

LoL devs hinted at Katarina buffs in upcoming changes 6
Image via Riot Games

Recent adjustments by Riot to the jungle and the increased durability of marksmen have impacted the burst damage of assassins, including Katarina. She no longer destroys marksmen as swiftly as before.

Additionally, her passive ability requires her to secure a takedown before she can unleash her full potential. With support champions being potent in the current meta, squishy champions have access to substantial sustain. All these factors contribute to her low win rate, despite having dedicated and skilled one-trick players.

In conclusion, it appears that Riot August’s call for Katarina buffs is well-founded. However, Riot currently has its hands full with upcoming patches and preseason changes, so the timeline for addressing this issue remains uncertain.

League Patch 13.7: Riot buffing Katarina might make her broken again https://notagamer.net/league-patch-13-7-riot-buffing-katarina-broken/ https://notagamer.net/league-patch-13-7-riot-buffing-katarina-broken/#respond Sat, 01 Apr 2023 08:57:17 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=59796 Champions such as Katarina and Yasuo will be buffed in Patch 13.7, and players are concerned that this will be unhealthy to the game, particularly in the case of Katarina

League Patch 13.7: Riot buffing Katarina might make her broken again 7

With teams from all over the globe competing for a place at MSI, Riot has been working on changing the pro play standard previous to the tournament’s start. The next two patches will decide and mould a new meta, requiring players to completely rethink themselves in order to compete with the new optimal picks and tactics.

Riot developers are also attempting to buff some of the underperforming champions in solo queue in Patch 13.7 with Katarina’s presence.

Katarina might be too broken with these buffs in Patch 13.7

However, some Reddit users have questioned whether the forthcoming changes to Kata’s ultimate will truly be game changers.

One Redditor explained how Katarina’s new buffs could affect the game, stating that new on-hit and attack speed builds could totally destroy this champion and make it difficult to stop her. While her AD scaling has been reduced, the higher her attack speed, the better her scaling.

According to the Reddit post, at level 18, with items like Kraken Slayer, Blade of the Ruined King, Wit’s End, Rageknife, the ultimate could inflict up to 5100 physical damage over the course of 2.5 seconds.

League Patch 13.7: Riot buffing Katarina might make her broken again 8

This is due to the fact that, in addition to all attack-speed items, Kraken Slayer gives passive attack speed for every Legendary item finished. At complete build, she gains an additional 40% attack speed for free.

Katarina has everything you’d want in her kit, delivering not only magic damage but also true damage and attack damage. With the addition of on-hit Katarina, there is absolutely no bad build on this champion, and the only way to halt her is through hard CC only.

League Patch 13.7: Riot buffing Katarina might make her broken again 9
Image via Riot Games

Finally, the Reddit user believes that in order to keep Katarina healthy, Riot should either eliminate the delay on her E reset, allowing her to dash immediately and perform dependable combos, or introduce a new item similar to Hextech Gunblade.

So, despite being one of the most fearsome assassins in League, Katarina presently has a 49.35% win rate, which Riot hopes to improve with these buffs. When LoL Patch 13.7 goes live on April 6, it will be interesting to see how they affect her performance.

After Riot Games unveiled the Faerie Court skin line, the newest skin set to impact League of Legends, there are sparkles in the air and wings fluttering on Summoner’s Rift.

We were already aware of the upcoming fairy theme because it had been previewed in an official video earlier in the season. We learned of Kalista and Karma’s arrival at the flesh line for the Faerie Court from that. Milio has since become a member of the roster.

With eight new skins being added to League of Legends, Riot has now shown off the new skin line in motion. As another Legendary skin and Prestige form of a cosmetic enters the fight, there are many positive aspects to the vibrant and colorful aesthetics that these cosmetics offer.

The brand-new Faerie Court skins and Milio, the new League of Legends champion, will both be introduced in Patch 13.6. This skin line will be based on the Faerie Theme and the way that the various varieties of Faeries come together to form the Court to govern their race.

Here’s everything you need to know about the newest skin line coming to League, including their splash art, prices, and release date.

With its newest upcoming skin line, Riot Games is taking League of Legends players deep into the world of fairytales and dreams. The skin line will feature a number of champions, including the most recent champion to be introduced to League, Milio.

The “Faerie Court” skin line will be introduced in League Patch 13.6 along with skins for Karma, Milio, Seraphine, Ezreal, Fiora, Kalista, Katarina, and a Prestige version of Katarina.

All of these skins feature the champions engaging with different elements of the natural world, especially the swarms of insects with pinky aura that inhabit the area.

The primary distinguishing characteristics of the skin line are the butterfly wings and vibrant hues, which also include fresh, eye-catching effects for each champion’s special abilities. These brand-new Faerie Court skins feature serene visual effects along with odd sound effects and images.

Milio‘s first skin also changes the way the gentle flame look in-game, which adopts a pink and purple color scheme that also alters the appearance of Milio’s flame. Faerie Court Milio can surround his friends in the calming beams of pinkish-orange rather than a fiery yellowish-orange.

Unlike the silver in the normal form of the skin, Prestige Edition Faerie Court Katarina has purple and gold accents on her accessories and skills. In her recall, the champion transforms into a butterfly with stained-glass wings after going through a full transformation inside a crystal cocoon.

On March 22, when League is set to launch Patch 13.6, the new Faerie Court skins will be available on the live servers. With the introduction of a new skin line, these skins will probably be linked to an in-game event so players should expect that, too.

League Patch 12.12 Preview: Bel’Veth, Zeri, and many others are set to be nerfed https://notagamer.net/patch-1212-preview-belveth-zeri-nerfed/ https://notagamer.net/patch-1212-preview-belveth-zeri-nerfed/#respond Tue, 14 Jun 2022 04:09:58 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=46489 The League of Legends Patch 12.12 preview has come, and with it, 20 champions will see balancing adjustments
bel'veth

Patch 12.11 was a blast with countless of adjustments hitting the live servers to balance the Durability Updates, and it seems Riot is slowing down with their smaller patch as the company continues to collect data on bigger things for the near future.

Among the champions are set to be modified in Patch 12.12, the latest champion, Bel’Veth, is receiving her first nerf right after her debut. Zeri is also getting a nerf in this Patch, this will be her second nerf after her big changes in Patch 12.11.

In the remaining nerf list, 2 junglers, Dr. Mundo and Viego are expected to see some of their strength potential or perhaps their jungle clearing speed to be reduced. Fiora will also be the only top laner receiving a nerf in this Patch as her dominance in the top lane can clearly be seen through her popularity.

League Patch 12.12 Preview: Bel'Veth, Zeri, and many others are set to be nerfed 12
Image via Riot Games

And finally, Singed, Janna, and Lucian will also join the list. Singed is an interesting pick recently as he is played in the mid lane in the past few weeks. Regardless of the position, Singed remains the mid laner with the highest win rate in the game at over 55%, according to OP.GG.

In the buff list, some underwhelming faces will have the chance to come back into the meta. Champions like Amumu, Heimerdinger, and Ivern are expected to receive some significant buffs in Patch 12.12.

Aside from straight buffs and nerfs, the patch includes changes to four champions, including Katarina and Shaco’s build path. Yuumi and Soraka’s healing effectiveness will also be modified.

Riot has not yet disclosed any specifics regarding the planned changes, but they should announce the full edition of the patch preview. More information about the Patch is likely to be released tomorrow. Riot usually provides an expanded version of the Patch Preview 24 hours after revealing which champions and game features will be buffed and nerfed.

Having said so, Patch 12.12 is set to go live on June 23.

AD Katarina receives nerfs on the PBE for League Patch 12.12 https://notagamer.net/ad-katarina-nerfs-pbe-league-patch-12-12/ https://notagamer.net/ad-katarina-nerfs-pbe-league-patch-12-12/#respond Fri, 10 Jun 2022 10:30:26 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=46365 Katarina may face some nerfs in the forthcoming League of Legends 12.12 patch release. Riot Games appears to be experimenting with her on the PBE

The test server is now on the 12.12 cycle, with patch 12.11 officially released. The devs have already begun to introduce champion and item modifications that will be included in the release patch.

AD Katarina receives nerfs on the PBE for League Patch 12.12 14
Image via Riot Games

The nerfs that are being implemented to Katarina are one of the adjustments that have piqued the interest of the League of Legends community. The AD ratios on most of her abilities appear to be reduced, but the on-hit modifier of her ultimate looks to receive some buffs.

Katarina changes on the PBE

  • Dagger AD ratio reduced from 75% bAD to 65%
  • E AD ratio reduced from 50% AD to 40%
  • R on-hit modifier increased from 25% – 35% to 28% – 38%
  • R AP ratio per hit reduced from 19% to 18%
  • R AS ratio per hit changed from +80% total AS to +166.6% bAS

Her extra AD has been lowered from 75 to 65% while picking up a dagger and slicing surrounding enemies. Picking up daggers can cause significant damage to opponents, hence nerfing the AD ratio may influence her playstyle in some way.

Shunpo (E) is another ability that does damage based on Katarina‘s AD, and it appears that it will be nerfed from 50 to 40% AD.

Most notably, her ultimate on-hit modifier appears to have increased. Her ability power and attack speed ratio per hit have also been increased to 18 and 166.6 additional attack speed, respectively.

AD Katarina receives nerfs on the PBE for League Patch 12.12 15
Image via Riot Games

Many players have been confused by her AD ratio nerfs. They believe that all it does is nerfing her early game and worsen her already poor laning phase.

While some believe the devs are pushing Katarina toward a more AP and Attack Speed build, the majority remain skeptical. Even with these nerfs, the AD build path remains mostly unchanged.

Riot releases splash arts for 2022 High Noon skins with Leona, Talon, Varus, Mordekaiser, and Katarina https://notagamer.net/riot-splash-arts-2022-high-noon-skins/ https://notagamer.net/riot-splash-arts-2022-high-noon-skins/#respond Wed, 27 Apr 2022 04:30:07 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=44800
Katarina

Riot has officially revealed Leona, Talon, Varus, Mordekaiser, and Katarina skins for 2022 High Noon

League of Legends’ ‘Wild Wild West’ world has been around for a long. It’s an alternate universe located in the desert, with each champion being a ‘western’ hero. This time, Katarina, Leona, Mordekaiser, Talon, and Varus are all entering the High Noon realm as part of the skin line. The skin series has always been popular among fans, and it appears that the skins are becoming better with each generation.

Leona will be dressed in a black and white gown and her hair will be styled in a white bow. Leona will be the only Legendary skin being released this time.  When she triggers her Eclipse, her massive shield bursts out into a butterfly shape. Her recall is also unique, as she calls out, or summon, a white war-horse that rides her back to the fountain.

Katarina’s fire hair stands out in her own skin, and she’s armed with scorching twin daggers. She appears in her own pristine clothes, leaping from one enemy to another.

Varus and Talon will be sharing one splash art. Both are stunning young men dressed in traditional Western garb, with each champion adding his unique flair to the bar. Varus’ bow is adorned with feathers and has a heavenly shine, while Talon’s sword gleams with the blood-red colors of the demon skin line. Talon will also receive the set’s Prestige skin, which will transform him into a classic golden color.

Mordekaiser High Noon appears as yet another demon ascending from hell, wearing steel armor and a forge-like chest plate. He even wears a Western-themed belt buckle shaped like a bull, and he wields a gigantic mace that makes him look like an actual final boss of an RPG game.

League of Legends new 2022 High Noon skins have been leaked 20

The new roster for the 2022 High Noon skin line will feature Leona, Katarina, Mordekaiser, Talon, Varus, and Sion

Riot Games have delivered some amazing skins so far this year, and with the new Worlds Champion skins for EDG got leaked recently, fans are looking forward for even more leaks before Riot’s official release.

And now, unexpected High Noon skins are leaking. High Noon is one of League of Legends’ most successful skin lines. Previously, fans were treated to the upgraded version of the High Noon skin line such as Ashe, Lucian, Senna, and others. As a result, the recent leaks are getting a lot of attention.

Infamous League of Legends leaker Big Bad Bear announced the release of a total of 13 skins coming in patch 12.9. He states that the patch will have many skins to come, such as EDG skins, Battle Boss Bel’Veth, a new Conqueror skin, and High Noon skins. He posted a video in which he credited Ryscu and showed samples of planned skins.

The video reveals the model design for only 3 champions, Leona, Katarina, and Mordekaiser, making it difficult to predict how amazing the skins will be based on it. With that being said, Leona skin will be the only Legendary tier and Talon will have a Prestige version. However, it appears like Riot maintained the concept intact, despite the fact that Mordekaiser looks more like a raid boss.

The new High Noon Skins are expected to be released on patch 12.9, May 12. However, because they are only leaks, nothing can be said for certain.

Broken Challenger Build: Luden’s Tempest Katarina https://notagamer.net/broken-challenger-build-ludens-tempest-katarina/ https://notagamer.net/broken-challenger-build-ludens-tempest-katarina/#respond Fri, 06 Aug 2021 14:49:06 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=36620 It seems that Luden’s Tempest isn’t the most suitable item for a non-mana champion. But when used by Katarina, this Mythic item becomes an excellent burst item for Katarina to maximize it.

Broken Challenger Build: Luden's Tempest Katarina 24

Luden’s Tempest suddenly becomes the perfect Mythic item for Katarina

It’s no exception to say that Katarina is one of the strongest assassins in the game. After her major rework in patch 10.23, the Sinister Blade returns strongly with a series of different item-path. And as a matter of fact, Luden’s Tempest has been an excellent item for her.

Why Luden’s Tempest?

Broken Challenger Build: Luden's Tempest Katarina 25

After being modified for the second time in the 2021 season in patch 11.6, Luden’s Tempest has another effect as follow:

“Dealing ability damage against champions reduces the cooldown of Echo by 0.5 seconds per champion, up to a maximum of 3 seconds per cast (10 second cooldown).”

With a champion that is capable of bursting down target and can instantly refresh her basic abilities cooldown if the enemy is killed, she will almost certainly be able to trigger the item’s passive continuously in any combat.

Broken Challenger Build: Luden's Tempest Katarina 26

Pros

  • Massive amount of damage
  • More burst damage
  • Easy to snowball
  • More flexible in combat

Cons

  • 600 mana is useless
  • Teammates may think you’re trolling

Runestones

Broken Challenger Build: Luden's Tempest Katarina 27

Since this kind of build comes along well with surviving in combat, Conqueror is the priority rune for her. However, if up against any squishy champions, Dark Harvest and Electrocute can also be an alternative.

Although it is extremely weird and easy to lose team morale, Katarina’s efficiency in team fights makes her incredibly strong. Top Katarina players on many servers are beginning to experience and exhibit the odd strength that this item construction provides.
