LoL Patch 14.13 weirdest but OP builds

Aatrox Overlord’s Bloodmail

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 1

The Aatrox Bruiser build made a strong comeback in 14.12 when the champion received a significant buff in his ultimate. No longer equipped with Lethality, Aatrox returns to familiar items such as Black Cleaver and Sundered Sky with stats suitable for dealing damage and staying long in combat.

However, there was one item that few people noticed that was very suitable for Aatrox, and that was Overlord’s Bloodmail. With Passives increasing AD based on missing health, this item will provide Aatrox with significant damange in combat, or 1v1 solos. In addition, the increase in AD is also significant as the current Aatrox is built according to the Bruiser gameplay.

Olaf Zeke’s

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 2

After Hecarim, another champion that is very suitable for Zeke’s build is Olaf. With a cheap price and extremely suitable defensive stats, Zeke’s is considered the third item that helps Olaf expand his power in a superior way in the middle and end of the match.

The passives from this item not only give Olaf more damage, but also provide the ability to slow down, which makes it better to chase down enemies when this champion does not have hard control. With the role of sweeping into combat thanks to his ultimate, Olaf is the most suitable champion to optimize the power of this equipment.

Of course, before that, Olaf couldn’t do it without some items with strong healing ability, at the moment, it is the Ravenous Hydra and the Sundered Sky.

Katarina AD Bruiser

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 3

Having emerged many times and then disappeared due to various edits, AD Katarina build is back in patch 14.13 with a very high efficiency in the Mid Lane.

Instead of the usual Blade of the Ruined King, Katarina’s first piece of item would be the Stridebreaker. Not only does it provide damage, the ability to slow down opponents, but the 450 Health stat from this item also makes Katarina stronger in the early stages. This makes it possible for Katarina players to be more active in combos to close down on enemy champions early.

Next, this champion will aim for attack effect items to increase her DPS, of which Kraken Slayer and Terminus are the most optimal choices. With this Bruiser playstyle, Katarina will find it easier to close in on enemy champions, taking advantage of mobility to disrupt the fight.

Nilah Death’s Dance

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 4

Instead of building in the usual crit build, Nilah is being tested by many masters with new item upgrades. The Essence Reaver will be available as soon as possible to ensure early damage, especially the ability to suck mana to spam while on the lane.

However, the second item will be more unique with the Death’s Dance, which is a common item in bruisers. Obviously, for a melee ADC like Nilah, this item will help players feel more confident in the fight. Especially with the bonus of 40 Armor, Nilah will have a great advantage when facing other Marksmen. In the end, Dominik’s Crossbow was chosen as the 3rd item.

Bard Warmogs

League of Legends: Top 5 weirdest OP builds on Patch 14.13 5

An extremely interesting gameplay in the emerging Support position is Bard in the direction of dealing Damage. This champion will be able to take advantage of Passives to create a unique set of items, thereby creating discomfort for opponents when laning.

Blood Song will be a necessary upgrade to increase Damage from auto attacks, while Wits End will give Bard more AD as well as a certain amount of MR.

However, just like the trend in recent times, Warmogs is the main dish that needs to be put on first as Bard’s unique build. With the ability to kite and inflict constant control, Bard has time to pull in combat, thereby making good use of Warmogs’ passive.

As Patch 14.10 is about to be released, Riot is already looking ahead to what’s next for the game. The upcoming patch will be significant, featuring numerous changes to Runes, Items, and other elements. Additionally, players can look forward to new Faerie Court skins and a Victorious Kog’Maw skin in this patch.

Looking ahead to Patch 14.11, there was a rumor that suggested the return of the Infernal skin line. This rumor has now been confirmed as true, with three new Infernal skins being added in Patch 14.11. The anticipation for these fiery, demonic skins is high, as players eagerly await the chance to transform their favorite champions into fearsome agents of fire and brimstone.

The Infernal skin line features a collection of themed skins that transform champions into fiery, demonic versions of themselves. These skins are inspired by the elements of fire and brimstone. They are designed to give the champions a terrifying and hellish look, with blazing visual effects and thematic animations.

These skins create the impression of an alternate reality where the champions have been corrupted by infernal forces, turning them into agents of fire and destruction.

In this new batch of Infernal skin, each champion is surrounded by flames and wear charred armor or have demonic features. Their abilities are visually enhanced with fiery effects, making them appear as if they have emerged straight from the depths of hell. This transformation gives them a much more intimidating presence on the battlefield.

With that in mind, the skin line is anticipated to be released on League of Legends Patch 14.11 on May 30th.

An Olaf player got a Pentakill just by … standing still? https://notagamer.net/olaf-player-pentakill-just-by-standing-still/ https://notagamer.net/olaf-player-pentakill-just-by-standing-still/#respond Tue, 03 Jan 2023 00:00:15 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=57074 One man army!

A player managed to score a 1v5 pentakill while technically remaining still on the champion thanks to the power of bruiser items and the strength of Olaf’s kit. The League of Legends community is outraged over the present state of game balance.

Season 13 hasn’t seen many significant changes, but the few that have occurred have made fighters and tanks extremely dominant in the meta. Items including as Ravenous Hydra and Jak’Sho, The Protean have been dominating in solo queue, establishing themselves as meta-dominating item options on numerous champions.

Players learn how strong they can be with the perfect item combination as the meta evolves. With the use of new bruiser items, Olaf player was able to successfully 1v5 the opposing team while standing still and auto-attacking.

Pentakills are difficult to achieve. A lot needs to go right to obtain one, and even after seasons of playing the game, many League of Legends players fail to earn one. However, according to a recent post on the official League of Legends subreddit, an Olaf player, managed to achieve a pentakill while standing still.

The “talented” pentakill has acquired a lot of popularity in the community and generated some worries about League of Legends’ present situation. Although this occurred in a Gold rank game rather than Challenger rank, it sparked quite a stir in the LoL community.

This Olaf player managed to 1v5 the opposition team without moving for most of the game because of the strength of the new items Jak’Sho and Spear of Shojin, as well as the shield from Sterak’s Gage and the AoE damage/bonus AD from Titanic Hydra.

According to the match statistics, the Olaf player inflicted 70,000 damage with a KDA of 20/12/15 by the end of the game. Players argue that the player wasn’t even good at all, and that they’re being carried by the power of Fighters OP build.

Darkflight Cannoneers and Guild Xayah have dominated the opening week of set 7.5.  So, it’s obvious that TFT patch 12.17b nerfs the two carriers of both comps, Aphelios and Xayah.

Pantheon and Olaf have also been doing excellently. They are also being nerfed when the patch is settled.

Olaf’s starting mana has been reduced, and he will get less AD from his passive after dying in each stage. Pantheon’s ability will now do less damage at all tiers and his mana will now be locked for the whole duration of his spell.

The updates have already gone live on September 13 at this time of the day now so players should expect some changes (although it is minor).

League Patch 12.11b targets changes to Kog'Maw, Ryze, Olaf, and Zeri 15
Image via Riot Games

League of Legends Patch 12.11 made numerous adjustments to the game, serving as a balancing patch following the major Durability Update.

Almost 30 champions were either buffed or nerfed in the most recent patch, along with many adjustments to items and systems. As predicted, this caused another huge change in the meta. The developers have now released patch 12.11b hotfix with Ryze, Kog’Maw, Olaf, and Zeri.

In the hotfix, the first two champions will receive buffs, with Kog’Maw doing greater damage with his Bio-arcane Barrage (W). And when it comes to the Rune Mage, Ryze’s Overload (Q) cooldown has been reduced from 6 to 5 seconds. His Spell Flux (E) damage has also been somewhat enhanced.

Image via Riot Games

Even though Ryze received some buffs from Patch 12.11, it still wasn’t enough to push him back to the meta. According to League statistics OP.GG, Ryze’s win rate is still extremely low at 44.63% with a 2.13% pick rate.

On the nerf list, Olaf’s skills Undertow (Q) and Tough it Out (W) have been nerfed. They will now give less armor and a smaller shield. Meanwhile, the Spark of Zaun’s basic attacks, as well as her Burst Fire (Q) and Spark Surge (E), have been directly nerfed.

Olaf continues to receive the nerf hammer in this hotfix. Even after the nerf from Patch 12.11, Olaf is still one of the strongest top laners in the game so this nerf is out of the question.

In League of Legends Patch 12.11, Zeri received a series of buffs aimed at restoring her to a decent position in the meta. And, although the buffs did make her a more viable choice in the game, Riot may have gone a bit too far. Thankfully, the developers were fast to respond and provide a hotfix.

Massive Patch 12.11 will feature buffs, nerfs, and adjustments to nearly 30 champions 19

In Patch 12.11, the developers plan to give some love to some of the worst-performing champions and nerf to some extremely powerful ones

The lead game balance designer for League of Legends, Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, has released a list of changes coming to the game in patch 12.11, and many popular champions that have been performing well are receiving nerfs to make room for those who have been underperforming in recent patch cycles.

Patch 12.11 champion buffs and nerfs

Champion buffs

On the buff list, champions from multiple roles will be receiving buffs to help them cope with the longer game pace. Specifically, fighter champions like Irelia, Tryndamere, Lee Sin, Xin Zhao are expecting buffs as some of them have been performing bad lately.

Tank champions and ADC like Nunu, Taric, Tahm Kench, Rakan, Caitlyn, and Samira are also anticipated to benefit from buffs in the upcoming patch.

Massive Patch 12.11 will feature buffs, nerfs, and adjustments to nearly 30 champions 21

Most notably in this patch is probably Ryze as the champion has been suffering lately in the game. Being one of the worst champions in the game with the lowest win rate has made Ryze unplayable across the board. Finally, in patch 12.11, Ryze is getting some love from the devs with some potential buffs to help him raise his win rate.

Champion nerfs

Down on the nerf list, 13 champions overall will be nerfed in Patch 12.11. But, given that the majority of them have an abnormally high solo queue win rate, this isn’t surprising.

Champions such as Olaf, Swain, and Lillia have recently dominated the top lane, with their win rate.

Wukong is also one of the best picks in the jungle lately as he is quite strong from the recent Patch 12.7 buffs to his entire abilities. Riot is also nerfing him to prevent him from being banned or picked instantly in any games.

The bot will receive the fewest nerfs in the future patch, with just Kog’Maw and Senna being targeted. Senna has been crowned the best support after Patch 12.10 as the game goes longer, scaling champions such as her are no doubt will receive nerfs.

Other prominent champions who make the final nerf list are listed above. Riot has said that champions such as these would be impacted by other changes introduced in the patch.

The devs have yet to release the details of all of these balancing modifications, but a complete list of the changes will most probably be made public shortly.

Patch 12.11 is expected to be released on June 8.

Olaf’s mini-rework has turned him into a Top lane monster in Patch 12.9 https://notagamer.net/olafs-mini-rework-top-lane-patch-12-9/ https://notagamer.net/olafs-mini-rework-top-lane-patch-12-9/#respond Thu, 19 May 2022 07:11:54 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=45586 Olaf’s mini-rework has reintroduced the champion into the League of Legends meta, and he appears invincible. Olaf's mini-rework has turned him into a Top lane monster in Patch 12.9 24
Image via Riot Games

The once-mediocre jungler is now a dominant choice in the toplane and in the jungle. Despite being a popular option in pro play, Olaf has been “one of the least-mained champions in League for a time now, according to the devs. The game creators accomplished this by initially reducing his clear speed in the jungle. To compensate, they added some new adjustments to his kit to boost his survivability.

Based on the nerfs to his jungle clear, it appears like his new role on Summoner’s Rift will be in the top lane.

According to LoLalytics, Olaf now has a 53.34% win rate in the top lane across all levels, as well as a 50.47 % win rate in the jungle. This is an improvement over the previous patch, when both of his positions had a win rate of 42.91 and 45.06 %, respectively. He now has the highest win rate in his role across all tiers.

Olaf's mini-rework has turned him into a Top lane monster in Patch 12.9 25
Image via Riot Games

The shredding armor from his Undertow (Q) is likely the best update to his kit, something that was required in his kit to function as an ideal juggernaut with champions similar to Darius.  This helps him to make better target selections in team fights rather than immediately activating Ragnarok and charging into the enemy’s backline.

The second major change is to his Tough It Out (W), which now offers Olaf a shield that lasts 2.5 seconds and is limited at 30% of his current HP. According to David “Phreak” Turley’s patch rundown, this ability is most effective when Olaf is at roughly 45 % of his maximum HP, making him insanely durable.

olaf

Overall, Olaf acquired armor shred, a shield, and a possibly infinite Ragnarok ultimate, making him far more powerful in the late game.

With pros still waiting to get their hands on him, it’s unknown whether the update will convert to pro-play presence. However, even after LoL patch 12.10’s durability update, Olaf is likely to remain a strong top laner, so Riot better considers some nerfs soon.

Patch 12.9 Preview: Olaf and Taliyah mini-rework, along with other buffs and nerfs 26
Image via Riot Games

Riot has released a preview of patch 12.9, offering players an early peek at which champions and items will be buffed and nerfed in the game’s upcoming patch

According to lead designer Riot Phroxzon, the forthcoming patch will bring buffs and nerfs to a total of 10 champions, including adjustments to Olaf, Taliyah, and Pyke, and Hullbreaker, which is being substantially nerfed.

The “highlights” of patch 12.9, according to the post, are essentially the adjustments coming to Olaf and Taliyah, both of whom have been predominantly played in the jungle in recent years.

Riot Games has taken a number of approaches, including a mini-rework for changing the kits of some League of Legends champions that have fallen out of the meta in order to make them more viable choices as the League’s champion roster changes, and Taliyah and Olaf are on board.

Riot August has already revealed the “mid-scope updates” for Taliyah and Olaf are in the works but will not be available on live servers for many months. The pre-release versions of them have also been announced and currently waiting for patch 12.9 to go live.

As for the buffs and nerfs, Braum and Thresh, two support champions, are getting buffs in the patch. They join Hecarim and Varus as the only champions on the League roster whose strength will be directly increased in patch 12.9.

Rengar, Nidalee, and Master Yi will be the three junglers that will be nerfed because of their recent playing time. We’re all aware of the Sion’s passive nerf to damaging towers, thus there’s no need to discuss it.

More information on these buffs and nerfs will be released later on, probably tomorrow. According to the game’s official patch schedule, League of Legends patch 12.9 will be available on May 11. The Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), which starts on May 10, will be played on patch 12.8.

Riot has done some fantastic mini-rework at the start of Season 12, restoring Ahri and Janna to their former glory.

And, up till now, Riot August has verified that Olaf and Swain’s mini-reworks are on the PBE. This update should let Olaf scale better into the late game and make greater use of the juggernaut items. While it is nice to hear some better scaling, the most fascinating aspect of the mini-rework appears to be his unlimited ultimate, which he can refresh indefinitely.

The aims of this update are to bring substantial excitement to his kit while also making him more durable for future system changes. The mini-rework is set to go live in patch 12.9.

Aside from full-scale reworks, Riot Games has introduced a combination of approaches, including mini rework for modifying the kits of League of Legends champions that have fallen out of the meta, such as Ahri and Janna earlier this year. Two other champions are receiving modifications in similar manner, perhaps lifting them out of obscurity and bringing them into greater use on the Rift.

Riot August, League’s main champion designer, said today that “mid-scope improvements” for Taliyah and Olaf are in the works but will not be available on live servers for many months. These improvements made in the mini rework are comparable to those made to Ahri and Janna in order to make them more viable options as League’s champion roster evolves.

“These changes attempt to revitalize characters that have lost a bit of their shine over time,” August stated. “Ideally they’re something the players of those champs can be excited about.”

“Mid-scope updates,” as August describes them, aren’t full-scale reworks of champions, but rather minor changes to their kits that aren’t too shocking while nevertheless having a substantial influence on their pick rates, similar to Ahri mini rework. He added that Riot has made similar tweaks to champions in the past, citing Xin Zhao, Sona, and Lucian as examples.

According to OP.gg, Taliyah has a 52.14 percent win rate in the jungle but remains a niche option owing to the current condition of the jungle meta. She is practically seldom seen in the mid lane, where she was supposed to play. Olaf has also dropped out of the jungle meta, with a 49.25-percentage rate.

It is unknown what adjustments will be made to these two champions, but based on the other “mid-scope improvements,” they will most certainly increase their strength in their roles—possibly even shifting Taliyah back into the mid lane with this mini rework. More information is coming later this year.
