After a close and heartbreaking defeat at Worlds 2022, T1 decided not to change their roster for 2023 season. After all why fix what isn’t broken, the team did finish 2nd and only by a 2-3 score.

However 2023 has not got better for them. The team started the year with an impressive 17-1 score that landed them 1st place in LCK Spring, but fell to GenG eventually in the Playoffs Grand Finals. It was fortunate that MSI 2023 changed format and had 2 LCK teams instead of the usual 1. Nevertheless, T1 also did not have more success at the Mid-season, placing 3rd after consecutive defeats to Bilibili Gaming and eventual champions JD Gaming.

Fans were hoping the break between seasons would recuperate the team and improve their results. Straight off week 1, T1 again was defeated 1-2 by longtime nemesis GenG. They did not ban or pick Zeri and instead went for Draven as ADC. Peyz’s Zeri finished game 3 with a 11-1-3 score.

Flash forward to week 3, T1 faces KT Rolster (dubbed as Telecom war by fans). KT had been on the rise and is on really good form, but few would bet on a win, not to mention a clean 2-0 over T1. KT’s toplaner Kiin landed multiple 2-man ults on Gumayusi and Faker for some reason, and Aiming makes sure to finish the job with a phenomenal 21/1/13 total KDA in the series.

The loss saw T1 drop to 4th place in LCK Summer, and while they’re not in danger of not qualifying to Worlds 2023 yet, fans have cause for concern with their recent results. To be fair, T1 placed 2nd at Worlds, 2nd in LCK Spring, 3rd at MSI; those placements are really good and it’s hard to stay at the top with the insane level of competition at LCK and international events.

However, expectations are high for T1, and being fan favorites, everyone wants to see them in a Grand Finals. Their drafting has been questionable, and Oner and Zeus are simply not playing at their best for the last half a year. Hopefully the team could resolve whatever issues that are holding them back and. be back in time for Worlds 3 months from now.

After defeating Anyone’s Legend, RNG extended their winning streak in the 2022 LPL Summer Split https://notagamer.net/rng-extended-their-winning-streak-in-lpl-2022/ https://notagamer.net/rng-extended-their-winning-streak-in-lpl-2022/#respond Mon, 01 Aug 2022 14:10:03 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=48684 The League of Legends series that took place today in the LPL between RNG and Anyone’s Legend was lopsided. RNG easily defeated Anyone’s Legend 2-0 thanks to improved collaboration and objective-based gaming.

The series saw outstanding performances from the whole RNG roster. Wei’s Jungling with his Vi in game one assisted his team in quickly acquiring an Ocean Soul. While serving as RNG’s frontline, he also scored a remarkable 8/0/14 KDA. For RNG, Taliyah under the control of Xiaohu was the main source of damage. In team fights, he eliminated any opponent champions that were in the wrong place.

While Anyone’s Legend couldn’t mount a strong counter to RNG in game one, the second game appeared to be more promising. Even the first two dragons were persuaded to reduce RNG’s gold lead. Unfortunately, they were aced by RNG while attempting to slay the third dragon and handed the opposing team a free Baron.

The momentum then changed in RNG’s favor. Before their team’s AD carry became fed, Gwen of Breathe and Lissandra of Xiaohu were the main damage dealers. Gala was able to annihilate his foes after obtaining his three essential items, even recording a quadra kill, before his team demolished Anyone’s Legend’s Nexus to secure back-to-back victories.

RNG now has an 11-2 record and is in third place overall in the 2022 LPL Summer Split table after winning this series. When they compete against Invictus Gaming next on August 6 at 3.45 AM CT, they will be hoping to extend their winning streak.

This defeat will be disappointing for Anyone’s Legend. They have now suffered three straight losses, moving them up to eighth in the standings. With an in-form JDG in the following series, making a comeback will be a challenge. It will start on August 7 at 6 AM CT.

Faker becomes the first player to score 500 LCK win, ending Gen.G’s streak https://notagamer.net/faker-first-500-lck-win-ending-gen-g-streak/ https://notagamer.net/faker-first-500-lck-win-ending-gen-g-streak/#respond Fri, 08 Jul 2022 15:29:16 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=47274 Faker has reached yet another milestone in his remarkable career

Faker has been a professional player since 2013. Throughout the road, he had had some up and down, but he triumphed against all difficulties to secure his renown.

Faker becomes the first player to score 500 LCK win, ending Gen.G’s streak 2

Even so, Faker has been a consistent player in League of Legends, and his skill as a professional has also risen over time.

Faker now has 500 LCK wins, the first in the region, during the team’s match versus Gen.G in the LCK 2022 Summer Split. This enormous accomplishment is yet another big achievement in his career.

The excellence of his performance can be seen in the game versus Gen.G, where he reached the 500-win mark. T1 won the series 2-1 because to an incredible Baron steal by The Demon King himself in the second game, which helped the team to turn the series around.

After Zeus and Oner were put down, Faker performed a heroic play on Lissandra. He teleported to the Baron pit and finished off Peanut, stealing Gen.G’s Smite in the process. He then defeated the Baron and successfully secured the buff.

That play allowed T1 to reclaim the game, allowing them to easily win the following teamfight and demolish Gen.G’s base.

Faker becomes the first player to score 500 LCK win, ending Gen.G’s streak 3

Faker’s win was not his only accomplishment; together with T1, he was able to deliver Gen.G its first loss of the summer, bringing the battle for the top slot to a halt. Gen.G was unbeaten prior to this game, but now both teams have six victories and one loss.

T1 appears to be returning to its true form after a few poor plays in early summer. Obviously, Faker is performing at a high level, demonstrating why he is regarded as the best player of League of Legends.

RNG and T1 took quite different approaches to the tournament finals, with the LPL champion destroying the opposition with a flawless group stage and leading all teams in rumble wins just by competing remotely from China. Meanwhile, T1 topped their group but lost 3 matches against Evil Geniuses, RNG, and G2 Esports, prompting some fans to doubt their unstoppable win streak

The first two games were incredibly even. RNG displayed their amazing fighting skills in Game 1, and Bin’s outstanding play of Gwen propelled him to the lead.

However, in the second game, Faker was able to start an insane team fight in the Baron cave with Lissandra and created opportunities for Gumayusi to finish off the opponents and tie the game to 1-1.

The third game went on an unexpected path, with T1 being lost so easily because they allowed Wei’s Viego to progress too rapidly and eventually being out of control.

T1 then immediately realized and did not allow their opponent to snowball the game any longer; paired with strong map awareness, they progressively choked and knocked down RNG in Game 4.

Heading into the deciding game, T1 chose a team that was both hard to play and unite. T1 chose a team that was both hard to play and unite in the fight in game 5. As a result, T1 experienced issues straight from the start as Faker was constantly caught in the mid-lane by Lissandra and Lee Sin. At this point, T1’s captain was fully defeated by RNG and forced to admit defeat. RNG successfully defended their MSI crown after defeating another LCK representative.

MSI 2022: Nautilus has the highest Pick Rate and the lowest Win Rate in the tournament 6
Image via Riot Games

According to League statistics Game of Legends, the popular tank support, Nautilus, is presently tied for the most picks in the event, with 10 games owing to his presence among the many teams competing. He also has the fourth-highest pick-ban presence % of any MSI champion, making him a top priority during the event.

He does, however, have the lowest win rate of any champion. Nautilus won 0 of his first 4 games in the tournament, and his KDA was 0/16/7, or around 0.4375.

The champion now has a % win rate with 10 games played. He also has the most deaths of any champion chosen, with 63 deaths and a pitiful 1.0 KDA.

Nautilus players are frequently seen at the ends of some quite high death counts, however, most people ascribe this to their role as the engage of their team composition. Engage supports frequently initiate team fights, absorb the most damage, and attempt to delay for as long as possible so the rest of their teammates can inflict as much damage as possible.

With a fairly low kill participation ratio, many Nautilus players at this year’s MSI are finding themselves on the losing side pretty often as a result of their own placement faults.

While the data is too little to be meaningful, Nautilus has been underperforming for quite some time. He just isn’t tanky enough to stay up with the current dmg creep, especially considering his goal is to go straight into the other team. Hopefully, he’ll become more viable after patch 12.10 with buffs to his kit.

Zeri has become a popular champion in the game since her debut, despite the fact that she is a difficult champion to get acclimated to in ranking matches for new players or those in the lower ranks, she is loved by many pro and high elo players because to her mobility and flexible gameplay.

She has also had her entire ability nerfed in the preview of patch 12.4 as her dominance grows larger. And, since her debut in the 2022 LEC Spring Split, she’s appeared 45 matches in 23 different tournaments with a win rate of 64%. Zeri has been a major issue for League teams in such a short amount of time.

And today, the new champion was effective for Hanwha Life to nearly destroy T1’s flawless record in the 2022 LCK Spring Split.

T1’s opponents picked Zeri as their initial rotation selection in game one. Zeri finished game one with a 5/1/4 score and a beautiful quadra kill, but her influence helped Hanwha Life until the end of the game.

As a result, T1 banned the Spark of Zaun for the remaining duration of the match. T1 narrowly defeated Hanwha Life in the end, thanks to clutch plays from Oner and Keria in two important teamfights. However, the series demonstrated that T1 has certain weak spots, such as seeking for a solution to League’s newest champ.

For the time being, T1 has kept its perfect regular-season record and is 7-0 in the 2022 LCK Spring Split. Hanwha Life, on the other hand, has dropped to 2-5. However, after challenging T1, this tight series may help them continue a run up thanks to Zeri.

Faker played Soraka Mid and it is insane https://notagamer.net/faker-played-soraka-mid-and-it-is-insane/ https://notagamer.net/faker-played-soraka-mid-and-it-is-insane/#respond Tue, 08 Feb 2022 16:23:39 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=42135 LS explained how Faker responded when he previously told him Soraka is broken during the first broadcast of Doublelift’s new Trash Talk podcast

Nick “LS” De Cesare is a well-known analyst who has served as coach for both the LCK tournament and the T1 organization. The C9 head coach stated that during a review session while he was a member of T1, LS told Faker that Soraka was broken. LS then stated that Faker’s “eyes lit up and he smiled, and he turned to Teddy and was like ‘I told you.’”

LS is well-known for his unconventional champion picks and setups. When LS initially started working at T1, he frequently attended tactical sessions with the first team, according to LS. At one point, when LS revealed Soraka Mid was broken, Faker seemed to notice this.

Faker played Soraka Mid and it is insane 11

Perhaps because Faker remembers this, the Eternal Beast recently brought Soraka to the mid lane at the Korean Challenge tier, much as LS previously did. And the effect is immediate when Faker wins, even if he is attacked by his opponent and knocked out on level 1. Essentially, the gameplay of bringing Support champions to the mid lane is not new, but with season 12 bounty system, the playstyle is becoming increasingly dominating.

C9 defeated Golden Guardians in the opening game of the Spring Split with a Sona-Ivern combination in which Fudge played Ivern mid. C9 then defeated Evil Geniuses the day before in a game that included Fudge on Soraka mid.

We can assume that the bounty system has major problems based on Cloud9’s frequent triumphs and Janna’s prior rampage in the top lane. If Riot does not make quick adjustments, support champions may become overly strong on the solo lane.

How did an LEC player died twice before the first minion wave? 12

Top laner Adam “Adam” Manaane of LEC’s BDS has had one of the worst starts in League of Legends competitive tournament

How did an LEC player died twice before the first minion wave? 13
Image via Riot Games

In the opening five minutes of an LEC game between BDS and G2, everything went horribly wrong for BDS’ top laner Adam. Adam (Irelia) was loitering in the river bush near the top lane as the game began, as the teams stretched out to locate possible jungle invaders. This is a normal approach for pro players so as to gather information. BrokenBlade (Jayce), the G2 top laner, decided to keep an eye out for invaders from within their top side river alongside Jankos (Poppy).

When Adam sees Jayce approaching, he appears to believe he is the only champion at that time. Adam’s entire laning phase is ruined as a result of this little lack of judgment. As Adam comes to a halt, Jankos appears, and Jayce suddenly perched on top of Irelia.

LEC player Adam died twice before the first minion wave

Both exchange flashes, but Adam dies near his turret nevertheless. BrokenBlade and Jankos then invade BDS’ jungle in search for the red buff. Adam then teleports back to his turret in order to return to his lane in time for the minion wave. But rather of coming into the lane early for CS, Adam decides to route down to battle Jayce that is heading back to the wave.

This is the hammer that seals the deal. Adam pushes too hard the fight ends with Jayce take the price again. Jayce has 700 gold ahead at this time of the LEC match, with Summoner spells, wave, and creep advantages.

Not only did Adam die twice before the first minion wave, but he also dramatically destroyed any chance he had of taking control of the top lane. Despite Adam’s team best efforts, G2 destroyed Team BDS.

LCK Spring 2022: T1 wins against DWG KIA, reaches 6-0 at week 3 15

The match between DWG KIA and T1 is the most noteworthy match in not just the current Spring 2022 LCK, but also the whole League tournament. On one side is the 2021 LCK champion, while on the other is the team that has won five straight games and has led the LCK Spring 2022 standings up to the match. Every team wants to win to improve its standing and set the stage for future matches.

The opening match between the two teams has now become the longest-running match of LCK Spring 2022. DK and T1 are gradually becoming more balanced, and each time one side succeeds, the other quickly reacts. The difference in this game, though, is the jungler.  Canyon’s Jarvan IV gives T1 nightmares. Canyon may be credited with talent, creativity, innovation, efficiency after putting DWG KIA up after nearly 60 minutes of play.

But in game 2, it was Faker and his teammates’ turn to prove why they could be at the top of the tournament. T1 dominated DK from the start, thanks to incredibly strong picks like Lee Sin and Vex. Keria’s Thresh skill also made it difficult for DK to play. T1 moved the match back to the beginning line after Faker’s Vex maintained a 100% win rate.

When it came to the decisive game, both teams played really well. Canyon and his teammates even “self-destructed” in a rush when they were trying to end the game and were wiped out as a result. After then, T1 gradually reclaimed the position, and DK’s efforts finally went up in flames. T1 won the match, and Faker was named the MVP of the game.

T1 maintained their undefeated streak while retaining the top spot in the Spring 2022 LCK standings. Faker and his teammates will be best prepared to face another champion candidate, Gen.G Esports, in the first week after the Lunar New Year.

How Janna Smite Top lane is changing League https://notagamer.net/how-janna-smite-top-lane-is-changing-league-2/ https://notagamer.net/how-janna-smite-top-lane-is-changing-league-2/#respond Fri, 28 Jan 2022 16:35:41 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=41787 Changes to Teleport have also changed the meta with this Janna playstyle
How Janna Smite Top lane is changing League 16

Playing a viable support champion, such as Janna or Karma, and then choosing out of interacting with your lane opponent after only a few levels is the new Smite top style. The support uses smite and plans to ambush the opponent jungler’s camp or steal their buff.

After then, the support champion lanes will remain active until they have gained a few levels, at which point they will leave their lane and roam across the map. They ensure a gold disadvantage by leaving the opponent’s top laner alone, allowing their side to gain benefits in objectives elsewhere on the map. They plan to snowball the remainder of the map and collect on bounties put up by the loss of the top lane by roaming with the jungler and ganking other lanes.

Taking Smite into the top lane is the newest technique to deceive League’s rebound systems into granting teams more gold.

Objective bounties, which were added recently, provide additional gold rewards to objectives for losing teams. Smite top lane on champions who never farm and can still be useful such as supports like Janna turns out to be a gold mine for teams who aren’t truly losing.

It’s a dangerous strategy, but inducing a fake loss by manipulating the objective bounty system isn’t a good one to establish in terms of playability. In its most recent episode, the LCS podcast “The Dive” even talked about the topic, as well as the rising trend of roaming strategy.

An example of earlier gold system abuses in League of Legends stands out as being comparable to this recent issue.  There was also a time in the professional play when lane bully top laners would take support items and just harass their lane opponent in order to rack up a hefty bounty on them while keeping even an effective amount of gold.

Riot has already slammed these abusing strategies, and if Janna, or any support champions, brings smite top lane becomes popular, it will most certainly be shut down as well.
