Alongside these changes, new Rain Shepherd skins are being prepared for release.

Recently, most of the League of Legends community has been caught up in the controversy surrounding the Faker Hall of Legends. This uproar is mainly due to the steep $500 price tag, which includes commemorative Ahri cosmetics. Despite the backlash over this high price, it hasn’t affected the patch development process.

Make sure to mark your calendars, as Riot Games has scheduled the patch 14.13 to start rolling out on the live servers beginning Wednesday, June 26.

League of Legends continues with Patch 14.12, following the substantial changes introduced in Patch 14.10. The developers are focused on making further adjustments to balance the game better. Although the update is still in its preliminary phase, the main goal is to enhance the performance of Naafiri and Aatrox, with a particular emphasis on increasing Naafiri’s play rate.

Both Aatrox and Naafiri will undergo changes. Riot Games is especially keen on buffing Naafiri’s presence in lower brackets, where she was initially designed to excel. To achieve this, Riot is buffing her passive, which is expected to make her more viable and appealing to players.

Aatrox and Naafiri, both of whom have faced challenges in remaining competitive, are set to receive these buffs to make them more effective in matches. Riot Games hopes that these changes will encourage more players to pick Naafiri, thus increasing her overall play rate.

TFT devs confirmed major loot update with item drop changes https://notagamer.net/tft-devs-major-loot-update-item-drop-changes/ https://notagamer.net/tft-devs-major-loot-update-item-drop-changes/#respond Tue, 30 Jan 2024 18:35:40 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=69694 The team of TFT: Teamfight Tactics has recently unveiled their plans to initiate a significant overhaul in the game’s loot distribution system.

This update is set to commence with the release of Patch 14.3. The core focus of this update is to minimize the variability in item drops, a feature that has been a staple of the game’s randomness factor.

tft
Image via Riot Games

Teamfight Tactics, or TFT, is a game that predominantly hinges on player skill and strategic prowess. While elements of luck do play a role, these players have developed the ability to navigate the game’s variance, skillfully adapting their strategies based on the items, their economy, and the options in the shop.

However, despite the importance of skill in TFT, the game does incorporate a considerable degree of randomness. This aspect of the game means that players sometimes face situations that are beyond their control. For instance, an opponent might build a similar team comp and acquire crucial units first, or a player might receive minimal gold from PvE rounds.

TFT devs confirmed major loot update with item drop changes 2

TFT item drop changes in Patch 14.3

Recognizing the impact of this randomness, the TFT developers have identified the need to address the game’s variability, especially with the introduction of new mechanics such as Augments and Portals in Set 10. The team believes that the current level of variance has become excessively unpredictable, prompting a reevaluation of this aspect in Patch 14.3.

TFT devs confirmed major loot update with item drop changes 3

Mortdog, the lead designer of Teamfight Tactics, expressed on Twitter that the item drop system has been a significant source of variance since the game’s inception, even before the introduction of augments and portals.

Image via Riot Games

Over time, as the game evolved and players’ skills and understanding deepened, perceptions of what constitutes fairness in the game have shifted. Consequently, the current level of item drop is now seen as excessively disproportionate.

To address this, the upcoming change in Patch 14.3 will ensure that players receive a consistent number of items, with the intent to standardize the starting conditions for all players.

Image via Riot Games

“Being down two components but up 12 gold on 2-1 is no longer variance, but just unfairness as we understand truly which outcome can be optimized better.”

This adjustment will essentially eliminate all gold starts. This modification is planned to be implemented from Patch 14.3 and will continue through to Patch 14.5. During this period, the TFT development team has indicated that they are preparing for more extensive updates as part of a larger-scale overhaul of the game’s systems.

League of Legends: Jungle Pet changes are coming soon https://notagamer.net/league-of-legends-jungle-pet-changes/ https://notagamer.net/league-of-legends-jungle-pet-changes/#respond Sun, 21 Jan 2024 03:51:34 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=69374 League of Legends jungle pets are set to undergo yet another transformation with significant adjustments.

Since their introduction, these pets have revolutionized the gameplay for junglers, affording them the ability to clear camps and granting the flexibility to either initiate early ganks or engage in strategic counter-plays through power farming or counter-jungling.

jungle pets

The standout advantage of these jungle pets lies in their remarkable sustain, manifested in the form of healing and shields. This attribute ensures that jungle champions can consistently clear camps with health levels from the mid-game onwards. However, the balance required to integrate these pets into the game without overshadowing the influence of other lanes remains a priority.

Jungle Pet Changes

  • Heal increased from 12 – 35 to 14 – 37
  • Epic monster base damage cap reduced from 16 – 40 to 15.5
  • Epic monster damage cap is now affected by the normal health, AP, AD, and resist ratios
  • URF treat breakpoints reduced from 20 and 40 to 10 and 20
League of Legends: Jungle Pet changes are coming soon 6
Image via Riot Games

One might initially find the healing increase a little odd, given the sentiment among non-jungle mains that it is already overpowered. However, this adjustment is counterbalanced by substantial damage nerfs, wherein the cap for jungle pet damage is being reduced significantly from 40 to 15.5. This alteration aims to curtail the dominance of these pets in the early-mid game phases.

Furthermore, the damage cap can be augmented through normal health, AP, AD, and armor and MR ratios. This scaling mechanism suggests that while jungle pets will gradually scale into the later stages of the game, a considerable portion of their early-mid game potency appears to have been curtailed.

League of Legends: Jungle Pet changes are coming soon 7

Adding an element of intrigue, Riot Games has discreetly teased the potential return of URF (Ultra Rapid Fire) mode with the latest changes. Notably, this adjustment serves as a buff, enabling players to evolve their pets more rapidly with lower treat breakpoints. However, it is essential to bear in mind that these changes specifically pertain to URF mode, introducing a dynamic to the overall gameplay.

As eager anticipation builds within the League of Legends community, the exact timeline for the implementation of these changes on live servers remains undisclosed.

Although the 10th set of TFT has been in circulation for a considerable period, it has experienced fewer adjustments compared to past sets. The development team initially refrained from implementing major alterations, anticipating that players would organically devise strategies to counter the meta.

The decision to maintain stability gained further support from the TFT Vegas Open held in early December, where developers opted not to introduce drastic changes to avoid disrupting the tournament’s competitive landscape.

Riot Mortdog revealed major TFT updates coming in Patch 14.1

With the conclusion of the Vegas Open, and players expressing a desire for a refreshed gaming experience, TFT is now gearing up for substantial transformations.

Riot Mortdog outlines major changes coming in Patch 14.1 8

Lead designer Riot Mortdog has outlined that Patch 14.1 is scheduled for release on January 10th, with a plethora of changes set to redefine the gameplay. Notably, the update will introduce new portals that promise to reshape how players approach each match, injecting a fresh and dynamic element into the gaming experience.

“11 new portals! These portals are the much more impactful ones, so if you enjoy games that are more over the top, these should be fun. Some classics (Radiant Blessing, Treasure Dragon, etc) and some new ones (Crab Rave!)”

In addition to the introduction of portals, Riot Mortdog have announced a series of balance changes, with a particular focus on nerfing True Damage. The event pass in League of Legends serves as a mechanism for players to amass event-themed loot, predominantly comprised of tokens, mythic and orange essence, Grab Bags, icons, and more.

New Winterblessed 2023 Event Pass changes

A source of considerable frustration for the player base stems from the slight adjustments made to the loot contents for the Winterblessed 2023 event. Players who have previously completed Event Passes may notice a reduction of one Grab Bag, a coveted item that often surpasses orbs in value due to its potential to yield multiple skin shards along with bonuses like gems or essence.

Additionally, the quantity of mythic and orange essence has been noticeably curtailed, with mythic essence now obtainable in increments of 5, 5, 5, and 10, as opposed to the previous 10, 10, 10, and 20 in the Worlds 2023 event pass. Orange essence has seen a reduction from 750 to 625, available only once.

Despite the community’s overall satisfaction with the newly introduced borders, concerns have been raised regarding their visual distinctiveness, or lack thereof. The trade-off of fewer Grab Bags and reduced essence has left many players questioning the perceived value of the Winterblessed 2023 event pass.

Responding to the widespread discontent, Riot BarackProbama took to Reddit to explain their perspective. They asserted that the decision to focus on winter-themed rewards at the expense of generic loot was made with the belief that players would appreciate the seasonal offerings more.

Another Big Turret Changes coming in LoL Patch 13.23 https://notagamer.net/turret-changes-lol-patch-13-23/ https://notagamer.net/turret-changes-lol-patch-13-23/#respond Mon, 13 Nov 2023 12:47:20 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=66942 As the League of Legends community anticipates the conclusion of Season 13, Riot Games has unveiled a series of sweeping changes for turret to redefine the gaming experience in the final patches leading up to the upcoming season.

With an unconventional absence of a traditional preseason this year, the bulk of these transformative adjustments is slated for deployment in patch 13.23 and patch 13.24. The focal point of these alterations lies in the turrets, the strategic structures that play a pivotal role in shaping the course of matches.

Turret changes in LoL patch 13.23

  • Mid Inner Turret gold: 300 local + 50 global -> 425 local + 25 global
  • Side lane Inner Turret gold: 550 local + 50 local -> 675 local + 25 global
  • Inhibitor Turret gold: 50 local + 50 global -> 375 local + 25 global

In patch 13.23, Riot is orchestrating a significant overhaul in the gold distribution dynamics of Inner and Inhibitor turrets in both the mid and side lanes. The gold benefits for these turrets are poised for a substantial increase, ushering in a paradigm shift in economic strategies for players.

However, this shift is not without its nuanced complexities. While the local gold gains for Inner and Inhibitor turrets are set to soar, there is a concurrent reduction in the global gold output from these structures.

objective bounties

The net result of this adjustment is a balanced equilibrium, ensuring that the overall gold influx remains consistent with the established of the game. This seeks to introduce a fresh layer of strategic decision-making, especially in the context of split pushing.

Champions such as Jax, Master Yi, Tryndamere, can reap substantial benefits from these turret changes. The heightened local gold gains provide a incentive for players to split push, with the promise of rewards for those who excel in these high-risk, high-reward playstyle.

Notably, the changes also carry implications for the macro-level objectives in the game, with increased importance placed on securing the second Rift Herald. The dynamic alterations to turret gold distribution may influence teams to prioritize objectives differently, adding an additional layer of strategic depth to the overall gameplay.

While these turret modifications promise a refreshing shake-up to the gameplay landscape, it is essential to recognize the potential ramifications for support roles. The gold generation for Supports is anticipated to experience a notable reduction, posing a unique challenge for players in this role to adapt to the evolving economic environment.

As the League of Legends community eagerly counts down to the deployment of patch 13.23 on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, the stage is set for a thrilling conclusion to Season 13.

This marks the second skin-related controversy in League of Legends within just a couple of months, with the first being the highly criticized Dark Cosmic Erasure Jhin skin announced in August. The Jhin skin drew widespread backlash due to its steep price of $200, especially considering that it essentially amounted to a chroma with minimal changes to VFX and SFX. Riot Games faced severe community backlash as a result.

Now, in a surprising turn of events, Riot has managed to stir up another one. The spotlight was on the 2023 Coven skin line, which introduced seven brand-new skins, including the highly anticipated Coven Syndra.

Given Syndra’s thematic compatibility with the Coven skin line, many players had high hopes for the skin. However, these hopes were dashed when Nami was chosen to receive the Legendary Skin instead of Syndra. What compounded the disappointment was that a significant portion of the player base expressed dissatisfaction with almost every aspect of the Coven Syndra skin.

In response to the outcry, Riot made the decision to delay the release of Coven Syndra so that they could address these concerns. Consequently, Riot has recently shared the adjustments they are making to Coven Syndra. These adjustments are designed to improve the skin and make it more appealing to players, aiming to rectify the shortcomings that led to the initial backlash.

  • Headpiece will be adjusted to match the classic Syndra silhouette; symmetrical
  • Her makeup is being adjusted (removing feather element obscuring her face)
  • Her hair is being changed to a platinum blonde
  • Sigil behind her head is being updated to better match the coven shape language
  • Orbs are changing to a new element (Still finalizing the details on). No more hairball orbs
  • Changes to splash art and icon

These alterations are expected to positively impact the overall perception of the Coven Syndra skin. They have been eagerly anticipated by players who were initially disappointed by the skin’s debut. Coven Syndra, with these new adjustments in place, is now scheduled to hit the live servers with the release of Patch 13.21, which is slated for Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

Janna could become the most versatile Support champion with this 1 simple change https://notagamer.net/janna-versatile-support-champion-change/ https://notagamer.net/janna-versatile-support-champion-change/#respond Mon, 09 Oct 2023 16:59:14 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=65795 Janna, a widely recognized enchanter support within League of Legends, has earned her reputation for being a great support, specializing in enhancing her teammates’ strengths.

Revered for her healing, shielding, and buffing abilities, Janna’s gameplay has traditionally been characterized as somewhat simple. However, a surge of creative ideas has emanated from the League community, particularly the game’s official subreddit, proposing a transformative concept that could elevate her into a more versatile and impactful pick.

Janna changes to a more versatile champion

The focal point of this idea revolves around a potential modification to her Eye of the Storm (E). The proposed adjustment involves imbuing the ability with the capacity to provide its target with a bonus to Adaptive Force, a departure from its current functionality that enhances only AD. This alteration is envisioned to make Janna a more versatile partner for a more dynamic playstyle in the bot lane, depending on whether they lean towards AP or AD.

Since her introduction in 2009, Janna has undergone minimal changes to her kit, rendering her gameplay relatively straightforward compared to the intricate mechanics of many other champions.

The proposition to inject an extra layer of depth into her ability, Eye of the Storm, is seen as a potentially transformative update, aligning her gameplay complexity with the evolving standards of the support role.

However, players proposed change argue that if implemented, she could swiftly ascend the ranks to become one of the most formidable enchanter supports in League of Legends. The envisioned versatility she would bring to team compositions could redefine her role, potentially making her less predictable and more adaptable to varying strategies.

Furthermore, an adjustment to Janna’s core kit might reduce her reliance on specific items like Ardent Censer and Staff of Flowing Water, traditionally associated with enhancing her allies’ power.

It’s pertinent to acknowledge that Janna’s Eye of the Storm underwent a substantial change in December, where the shield power was increased, but the bonus AD it conferred was reduced. For now, the question of whether this specific community-suggested change will find its way into the official League of Legends gameplay remains shrouded in uncertainty.
