Every squad’s players, coaches, and team members must undergo continuous COVID-19 testing during the League of Legends World Championship. G2 Esports manager Romain Bigeard recently posted a video of all players waiting in line for their regular PCR test.

It has now been revealed that multiple players tested positive for the virus and will thus be forced to play under adverse conditions until further notice. Which players have tested positive, and what is Riot doing to accommodate positive teams?

Riot issued a statement outlining their policy for any players that test positively. Teams with healthy positive individuals will be able to use isolation rooms for these so they may participate in the games without being concerned about spreading the virus.

According to the official Riot Games statement, some game times may change as a result of this isolation room LAN configuration. Due to these terrible COVID occurrences, some games may be moved before the first round of matches in the second round of the group stage begin on October 13, 2022.

Many pro players tested positive for COVID-19

Just before the second part of the group stage of the League of Legends World Championship began, some of the biggest names tested positive. Prior to their day of groups, Edward Gaming revealed that their star mid-laner Scout had tested positive for COVID-19.

Scout is not the only well-known athlete that tested positive. Additionally, Gen.G has stated that Chovy, their mid-laner, will play from isolation in their upcoming games as a result of testing positive. Score and Museong, two members of their coaching staff, have both tested positive for the virus.

Star jungler Canyon of DAMWON KIA has also been found to have tested positive. Additionally, he is currently in a state of health that allows him to take part in competitions and compete alone.

The second half of the group phase is barely a day away, so it seems incredibly unlikely for now. However, if any players test negative before their games, they will be allowed to participate on stage. The players might re-join their teammates on stage if their teams advance to the following round.

Not only is URF returned, but the mode is back in its original configuration as well: Pick URF. The event format has recently been of the ARURF sort, in which each pre-game lobby assigns players a random champion to play. Pick URF gets rid of that kink after a protracted absence. Players can select their preferred champions for each game, eliminating the need for random rolls.

URF is a chaotic, quick-paced variation of the League of Legends that you know and love for more inexperienced players who are unfamiliar with the mode. For League of Legends players, the months of October and November are like an early Christmas. Top teams from around the world compete for glory and the coveted Summoner’s Cup at Worlds 2022, which lasts six weeks and this year received a makeover.

Worlds 2022 event skins: Spirit Blossom, Worlds Azir

LoL Skins for Worlds events often come in two batches, the first of which is known. The famous Spirit Blossom theme will be the focus of Worlds 2022, and there will be ten new skins for nine champions.

Spirit Blossom skins will be available for Aphelios, Darius, Evelynn, Master Yi, Sett, Soraka, Syndra, Tristana, and Yorick. Worlds 2022 Pick’Em challenge

Make sure you lock in your Pick’Ems in advance so that you can receive all the goodies and control your own destiny rather than leaving it in The Coin’s hands.

Riot’s solution to the inconsistent and toxic solo queue experience that plagued most NA pros when they tried to practice has been Champions Queue.

It’s a small, invite-only environment designed to foster the highest level of competition in North America. And now the best in the world will dive right in.

While Champions Queue will not have the typical prizing found in normal splits, it will still provide an excellent opportunity for up-and-coming NA talent. And, as players like Danny and jojopyun have demonstrated, NA talent should not be overlooked.

Furthermore, Riot has made it a point to include more ways for casual fans to participate, as well as open access to any players previously accepted into Champs Queue to increase the number of players queuing at any given time.

Fans will be able to track any player’s progress through the Champion’s Queue ladder thanks to a “redesigned, Worlds-themed public leaderboard.”

Furthermore, co-streaming rights for Champions Queue are being relaxed and made available globally to any content creator who successfully completes the application process.

The server hosting Champions Queue will change based on which server is closest to the current stage at Worlds, which means that pros based in LA will experience varying ping throughout the cross-country Worlds run.

Although many of the players attending do not speak English fluently, fully integrated voice communications will be available for the event. It remains to be seen how this will affect the Champions Queue experience.

The international community has been critical of the practice environment in North America over the years. Now is the time for North American players to step up and challenge the world’s best players.

World 2022

The play-in stage of Worlds will be held in Mexico City, the group stage in New York City, the semifinals in Atlanta, Georgia, and the event’s finals will be held in San Francisco, California, this year.

With the exception of the LCL, every domestic league in the globe will send a participant to this year’s Worlds. At the World Championship, 24 teams from 11 leagues will take part in total.

Given that the domestic half of the league’s season is scheduled to end on September 10, the TCL will be among the last leagues in the globe to crown a Summer Split winner.

Lately, League of Legends has experienced an error that enables players to play the game or to even start one. This error is perhaps due to the “new” Client exploit that Riot announced weeks ago.

From the year 2020, Riot had made an exceptionally great improvements on League that involved such minimum error in the past year. Now recently, riot made another post few weeks ago updating us on the current state of the client: CLIENT CLEANUP: 2021 SO FAR & WHAT’S ON DECK. Riot said that they are hoping to have major improvements on the performance and reliability by the end of July.

Unfortunately, this did not age well, since some popular streamers were recently targeted by one of the latest exploits.

In the past, exploiters can spam game invites in order to crash the game down for streamers, but that alternative is no longer accessible. Until now, League has experienced once again, the Clash invites. In the clip, streamers have been bombarded with clash invites, and if you get too close to closing too many of them, your game just freezes.

Because of this, you cannot do anything, you cannot choose your champion, you can’t even play or start the game. All you can do is to restart the Client and forced to abandon that game.

Up till today, Riot hasn’t responded to any of these Client crashing with any hotfixes, we are all hoping that Riot would look into these situations more thoroughly with more updates as well.

On May 7^th just now is also the 25th birthday of Faker – the greatest player in the world of League of Legends. Although Faker is no longer in top form in recent years, but nothing can stop his influence in the international LoL community.

The theme image of THE BADDEST, one of the songs released alongside All Out (EP), is printed on the shirt.

In addition to the K/DA THE BADDEST shirt, five other designs have been revealed using League feature images such as Jinx, Ekko and the cute creature Poro, etc. The collaboration is promised to please all of the League of Legends fans who like modern and simple style.

League of legends X UNIQLO

The UNIQLO x League of Legends t-shirts are expected to have a retail price of about $20 and will be available globally at both UNIQLO’s official website and in-stores. The release date of the collection has not yet announced but will be available soon. This will be a special gift for LoL fans who want to express their love for this game.

Of that being said, Mark “Scruffy” Yetter, a gameplay design director of Riot Games, has released a preview of League of Legends Patch 11.9 that includes buffs and nerfs for items and champions across the roster. Accordingly, Hecarim is nerfed heavily the most with both of his kit and his core items. Mark Yetter stated that they wanted to shift the power of the tank build so as to make room for a more viable damage build.

In the upcoming patch 11.9, Hecarim’s power is decreased substantially. Here are the following nerfs that Hecarim got:

• Base Armor: 36 >> 32; Armor Per Level: 4 >> 4.25
• Q Bonus Damage Per Rampage Stack: 5% >> 2% (+1% per 33 bAD)
• W Healing 30% >> 30% (+1% per 40 bAD) of damage Hecarim deals. This % is halved by 15% (+1% per 80 bAD) for damage dealt by allies
• E Minimum Base Damage: 35-155 >> 30-110; E Maximum Damage: 70-310 >> 60-220

In addition to those nerf, Hecarim’s core items also got nerfed:

• Turbo Chemtank: Active Movement Speed 60% >> 40%
• Deadman’s Plate: Health 400 >>300

Hecarim would fall out of the next patch as a result of these significant nerfs, particularly at higher levels of play. For some patches now, Riot has been attempting to remove Hecarim from the meta. Riot said that Patch 11.9 would be the third patch out of four to apply nerfs to Hecarim.

Although Hecarim is undoubtedly attracting a lot of interest, Riot can’t help but noticing the dominant of some new champions widening to the role of Jungler such as Morgana and Diana. Morgana is seeing the damage from her Tormented Shadow (W) reduced by 15 percent, while Diana is receiving nerfs to her attack speed and armor per level.

League Patch 11.9 is set to hit the live servers on April 28, according to the official patch schedule.
