The match between G2 and T1 showcased an intense showdown, with T1 ultimately emerging victorious after a hard-fought five-game series.

However, much of the community’s praise was directed towards G2, particularly for their innovative strategies featuring unconventional picks like Poppy Support and the rare appearance of Yasuo in the professional scene.

Milkyx’s Poppy, in particular, garnered widespread acclaim as the champion proved to be a proactive force for G2 throughout the series. With expert precision, Milkyx consistently executed the champion’s abilities to pin T1 members against walls, setting the stage for decisive team fights.

While initially met with skepticism from viewers, Milkyx’s mastery swiftly dispelled any doubts surrounding the pick. In a pivotal moment during game 5, Milkyx boldly utilized the “Hail of Blades” rune to disrupt T1’s formation and neutralize the threat posed by their low-health carries.

In a post-match interview, Milkyx revealed the rationale behind his strategic choices, citing the effectiveness of Poppy against vulnerable targets like T1’s low-health carries, Gumayusi and Keria.

By using Poppy’s high base damage and precise combos, Milkyx effectively pressured T1’s duo, creating opportunities for G2 to gain an advantage. The decision to focus on suppressing T1’s carries ultimately paid dividends for G2, allowing them to maintain control of the match until the final moments.

In terms of rune and itemization, Milkyx opted for a damage-focused build, prioritizing armor penetration, vision control with Zombie Ward, and swift roams with Relentless Hunter. Additionally, he used runes from the Inspiration tree to enhance Poppy’s mobility and cooldown reduction, further augmenting her effectiveness in skirmishes.

Overall, G2 Mikyx demonstrated significant Support potential akin to champions like Camille, making her an ideal choice for players seeking to engage enemy carries while remaining resilient to damage.

T1 Oner’s advices on the current LoL Jungle meta https://notagamer.net/t1-oners-comments-current-lol-jungle-meta/ https://notagamer.net/t1-oners-comments-current-lol-jungle-meta/#respond Sat, 04 May 2024 17:01:24 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=73749 T1 Oner gives advice on the new jungle meta in League of Legends

In the competitive landscape of League of Legends, strategies continuously evolve, exerting their influence on the game with each new patch.

Recently, there has been a resurgence of an old tactic known as lane swapping—a strategy that holds nostalgic value for some players. T1’s jungler, Oner, has some advice for those encountering this strategy in solo queue.

T1 Oner's advices on the current LoL Jungle meta 5

Lane swaps have reemerged as a significant aspect of the current meta, particularly in professional play. However, as seasoned players are aware, the League community often tries to emulate strategies seen in high-level play or international competitions, albeit with limited success.

While Oner has chosen to keep his specific tips for countering this strategy to himself, as T1 is currently vying for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational title, he did offer a straightforward suggestion to solo queue players facing lane swaps: “Just have fun.”

T1 Oner's advices on the current LoL Jungle meta 6
Image via Riot Games

According to T1 Oner, there is currently “no way” to adjust your strategy as a jungler when confronted with lane swaps in solo queue. Overcoming this tactic requires a high level of coordination between you and your teammates, which can be rare to find or difficult to cultivate quickly while climbing the ranks in solo queue. Typically, lane swaps are used to avoid unfavorable matchups in the lane while hindering the enemy top laner’s farm. However, executing a successful lane swap demands extensive teamwork and communication, which are not always readily available in solo queue environments.

T1 Oner's advices on the current LoL Jungle meta 7

Nevertheless, when executed effectively, a lane swap can provide your team with a significant advantage. By grouping up in the top lane, you can swiftly dismantle the enemy’s tower before they have an opportunity to reciprocate. Additionally, it aids in controlling the map and can afford your duo lane an advantage in terms of gold and items.

Although not everyone embraces the lane swap strategy, you may encounter it in your ranked games for a few more weeks until the meta adjusts itself once again. If confronted with this scenario, you could attempt to establish clear communication and formulate a plan with your team—or simply heed Oner’s advice and focus on enjoying the game.

They’ve got a whopping 29 changes planned, including buffs, nerfs, and tweaks.

Some of the big changes in the upcoming patch include improving hitboxes, which will make aiming and hitting targets more accurate. They’re also giving Skarner another round of adjustments to make sure he’s balanced and fun to play.

Riot’s plan is to make adjustments to champions who have been too strong in season 14, so the game feels fairer for everyone. These changes will be tested on the League PBE first, so they might not all stick.

Riot is planning to introduce an additional international League of Legends event in 2025 https://notagamer.net/new-international-league-of-legends-event-2025/ https://notagamer.net/new-international-league-of-legends-event-2025/#respond Wed, 24 Apr 2024 09:34:30 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=73243 Information of new LoL international event in 2025

After more than ten years of hosting two big international events for professional League of Legends, Riot Games might be planning to add a new competition to see which teams are the best in the world.

This new tournament is said to be happening in 2025, in between the Winter and Spring Splits of the competitive season, as per information from esports journalist Alejandro Gomis.

Riot is planning to introduce an additional international League of Legends event in 2025 12

While details about where it will be held, how it will work, and what it will be called are still unknown, it’s been mentioned that one team from each major region will be invited. There’s also a chance that teams from smaller regions might get invited too, although it’s not certain yet.

If this new event does take place in March 2025, it could mean fans will finally get to see teams from different regions facing off against each other earlier in the year. However, this might also mean changes to the usual schedule of competitive play, possibly pushing back events like the Mid-Season Invitational and the start of the following splits in different regions.

The introduction of this new event could lead to significant changes in how competitions are structured worldwide, especially in leagues like the LCS, LCK, and LPL. They might need to switch to a three-split format to fit in this new tournament, which could create scheduling clashes with their traditional Spring-Summer format.

In recent years, we’ve already seen big changes in how competitive League is organized, like the LEC adopting a three-split format in 2023 and the LCS returning to best-of-three series for regular season games in the 2024 Summer Split. More changes could be on the way for other major regions too, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

virtual pass

Riot has reportedly said that they’ll provide an update on the competitive schedule for 2025 in June, so fans will likely have to wait until then to know for sure about this new event.

League of Legends 2024 Empyrean skins: Splash arts, Prices, Release date, and more https://notagamer.net/league-of-legends-2024-empyrean-skins/ https://notagamer.net/league-of-legends-2024-empyrean-skins/#respond Fri, 19 Apr 2024 04:19:15 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=72978 Get ready to transcend into the boundless cosmic realm once more as the Empyrean skin line makes its return in May, coinciding perfectly with the onset of MSI, the first international competition of the year in the world of League of Legends.

Diverging from last year’s event, which unveiled the captivating Inkshadow skin line, this year’s Mid-Season Invitational will forgo introducing its own distinct skin line, opting instead to reintroduce the dimension-defying Empyrean skins.

This decision promises players another opportunity to immerse themselves in the cosmic clash of darkness intertwined with neon-glowing stars. 6 new champions are poised to make their entrance into the cosmic universe of Neon Strata, with the Righteous one, in particular, debuting a Prestige edition of her skin.

Scheduled to kick off on May 1, the 2024 event heralds the resurgence of the Empyreans within the League universe, ushering in a fresh array of champions to join the cosmic fray.

Nocturne, Varus, Brand, Malzahar, Akali, and Kayle emerge from the depths of the universe, donning their Empyrean forms ablaze with celestial energy. Kayle, in particular, ascends to newfound levels with the Prestige edition of her Empyrean skin, embodying divine power in a manner never before witnessed.

However, for those who opt to forgo this iteration of skins, Riot Games has an assortment of other cosmetics poised to grace League’s client.

The highly anticipated debut of the new Empyrean skins took place on April 16 on the PBE servers with their official release slated for May 1, perfectly timed to coincide with the return of both Arena and MSI, ensuring players are fully equipped to adorn their favorite champions in cosmic splendor as they venture into battle.

LoL MSI 2023 Final sees the lowest viewership drop in recent years https://notagamer.net/lol-msi-2023-final-lowest-viewership-drop/ https://notagamer.net/lol-msi-2023-final-lowest-viewership-drop/#respond Mon, 22 May 2023 15:08:23 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=61157 The League of Legends MSI 2023 recorded the lowest viewership for the tournament since 2019 at its grand finals.

JDG defeated BLG in a thrilling 4-game series to win MSI 2023. This is the third time in a row that an LPL team has won the championship at this tournament, and even though it was one of the most anticipated games heading into the competition, it appears that certain teams garnered greater support from the crowd.

LoL MSI 2023 Final sees lowest viewership in recent years

After the atmosphere calmed, the players found that the grand finale of MSI 2023 had received very little attention. According to Esports Charts, the game’s 1.1 million peak viewers were the fewest for a grand final since the 2019 competition.

This represents a significant decline from the grand final audiences for the prior Mid-Season invitational tournaments, which in 2022 and 2021 attracted 2.2 million and 1.8 million viewers, respectively.

The upper bracket final between T1 and JDG, which stretched to five games, was the most-watched game at MSI 2023. 2.29 million people watched the whole game, setting a new record for the entire tournament. Only 2.19 million people watched the RNG and T1 grand finals in 2022.

It’s possible that the fact that it was an all-Chinese match rather than a cross-regional encounter, which normally generates more anticipation, contributed to the lower-than-usual audience.

Even Chinese viewers, according to one Twitter user, weren’t as enthusiastic about this final because LPL versus LCK matchups received far more attention on message boards.

Overall, the new format of MSI 2023, which allowed for multiple best of five and best of three series—something fans had been requesting—made the tournament a resounding success in terms of viewership.

Riot provides Updates on Naafiri – League’s upcoming champion https://notagamer.net/riot-provides-updates-on-naafiri-leagues-upcoming-champion/ https://notagamer.net/riot-provides-updates-on-naafiri-leagues-upcoming-champion/#respond Thu, 18 May 2023 17:06:52 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=61018 The release date of Naafiri in League of Legends has been updated

Riot has been hard at work creating champions so far this year. So many reworks have occurred throughout the course of this season. There has only been the introduction of Milio as a new champion. The Enchanter Support team arrived with an anti-engage kit containing a large amount of healing. Overall, he’s been an excellent addition to League of Legends.

Three more champions, beginning with Naafiri, are in the works and will be released at some time. However, the Naafiri release date is still unknown, despite the fact that she will be the next champion launched in League of Legends.

Under these circumstances, an update on Naafiri’s release has been sent, and here is what we know thus far. It appears that the development process has encountered a roadblock. Riot Lexical has hinted at a possible release date for the champion.

The darkin assassin, according to Riot Lexical, is not quite ready yet. She may have been delayed somewhat to address some difficulties. In terms of a possible release date, she might appear in Patch 13.12 or 13.13. So, we should be expecting to see her sometime in June. Let us hope for a complete update shortly.

Fans were asking around a month ago if the Darkin assassin will be launched with an Inkshadow skin.

League’s new Darkin Assassin – Leaked details, concepts, kits, and more 1

A Reddit member suggested this theory. According to him, Naafiri will be released at MSI 2023. The main reason is that the upcoming MSI 2023 unique skin line’s graphic style is similar to a classic gaming kami.

Is Naafiri coming to League of Legends in MSI 2023? 1

Clover Studios produced kami, an action-adventure game distributed by Capcom. In this game, you play as Amaterasu, a Celestial Brush God. She does, however, resemble Naafiri in appearance.

Sadly, this theory turns out wrong as MSI is just 3 days left for the final match, and Naafiri is still nowhere to be seen.

This is significant. League of Legends Patch 13.10 is now here, and Riot Games devs didn’t lie when they stated they’d utilise the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational downtime to change things up. Riot is releasing four new things, one of which is a returning upgrade, and making modifications to practically every other items on the Rift. After Ivern’s midscope upgrade was postponed somewhat, only Neeko and some ADCs are being modified.

Without further ado, here are the champion and item changes in League of Legends patch 13.10 notes. (the full patch notes can be seen here)
