Their journey to victory wasn’t without challenges. After defeating teams like BLG, Team Liquid, and Top Esports, it was Team Liquid that seemed to pose the most significant threat to T1’s dominance.

Despite being a relatively new mid laner, APA managed to stand his ground against the legendary Faker in all three matches. This performance gave Western fans a glimmer of hope, even though Team Liquid eventually got eliminated from the tournament.

Domestically, T1 is currently tied for fourth place in the LCK standings, while Gen.G leads the region with an impressive 12-0 record. However, the dynamics were drastically different at the Esports World Cup. Gen.G was knocked out in the first round with a 0-2 loss to Top Esports.

This early exit sparked a debate within the community about whether this defeat should impact Gen.G’s pursuit of the Golden Road, a prestigious achievement in League of Legends.

Even if Gen.G continues to dominate the LCK for the rest of the Summer and wins Worlds 2024, their misstep at the Esports World Cup will be hard to forget.

T1, on the other hand, walked away with $400,000 and the honor of being the first EWC titleholders. Although this is another significant international victory for T1, an organization known for its excellence in LoL, many fans chose not to watch the tournament.

Concerns were raised about the Esports World Cup’s association with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, casting doubt on whether Riot Games would permit LoL to be part of the event initially. Back in 2020, the LEC had to cancel their partnership with NEOM due to overwhelming backlash from fans, a situation not mirrored in 2024 with the Esports World Cup.

Ultimately, T1 secured their final victory against Top Esports, with Faker picking Yasuo for the first time since 2022. This unexpected choice allowed him to dominate TES, reassuring fans that Faker still possesses his exceptional skills despite ongoing wrist issues.

LoL Hall of Legends Battle Pass is surprisingly impressive despite it’s controversy https://notagamer.net/lol-hall-of-legends-battle-pass-impressive/ https://notagamer.net/lol-hall-of-legends-battle-pass-impressive/#respond Mon, 17 Jun 2024 07:38:38 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=75205 The Hall of Legends event in League of Legends has faced a significant amount of criticism, mainly due to the release of the Immortalized Legend Ahri skin. However, apart from that issue, the Hall of Legends battle pass associated with this event is considered one of the best we’ve had in a long time.

The controversial Hall of Legends Battle Pass

The most controversial event in League of Legends has to be the recent Hall of Legends. This event was created to celebrate Faker’s induction into the prestigious Hall of Fame, honoring his impressive career achievements that date back to 2013.

Despite the intentions, the event quickly faced backlash from players. The main reason for the dissatisfaction was the high price of the Immortalized Legend Ahri skin. This expensive skin overshadowed much of the event and became the primary point of criticism.

Nevertheless, the Hall of Legends battle pass stands out as one of the best we’ve ever received from the developers, both in terms of value and storytelling. The pass costs 1950 RP, offering great value for the price. It’s much cheaper than the Ahri skin bundles and provides a variety of rewards, along with a compelling narrative aspect.

The battle pass guides players through Faker’s journey as a professional player, sharing interesting facts about his first game, his first pentakill, and more.

Additionally, the pass rewards players with several SKT skins, all chosen by Faker during his victories at Worlds. These skins include SKT T1 Zed, Ryze, and Syndra, which alone are worth 3300 RP.

Moreover, players receive a substantial amount of Mythic Essence through the pass. Mythic Essence is used to buy rare cosmetics in the rotating shop. Normally, fully completing an entire event gives 100 Mythic Essence, but this pass alone provides 125, adding to its incredible value.

Furthermore, the pass includes many other bonuses such as emotes, banners, summoner icons, and orange essence, making it an even better deal.

What makes this battle pass even more appealing is that it is not as grindy as other seasonal events. The experience required to progress does not increase with each level, allowing players to quickly earn rewards through missions provided by the developers.

Unlike other seasonal events, this battle pass does not have a currency system. Although the currency system in events might seem beneficial, it actually limits the rewards players can obtain. This makes the Hall of Legends battle pass far superior.

Despite the controversy surrounding the Immortalized Legend Ahri skin, it is clear that the developers have done an excellent job with the battle pass for this event.

T1’s League of Legends team has been suffering from DDoS attacks for several months, forcing them to completely alter their practice routines and cancel their streams. The team has now openly called out Riot Games, demanding immediate action.

This announcement follows the news that T1 must cancel all its League of Legends streams. When Faker attempted to stream for the first time since returning from MSI, he experienced immediate disconnects and connection issues due to DDoS attacks.

T1 criticized Riot Games for unresolved DDoS attacks after 6 months 7

“It is with deep frustration that we must announce the indefinite suspension of our players’ streams due to the ongoing DDoS attacks”

“For nearly six months, these attacks have persisted, and we hoped that Riot Korea and Riot Games would devise a long-term solution to allow our players and other affected teams to resume normal training schedules. Regrettably, this has not yet occurred.”

T1 acknowledged Riot’s efforts to implement countermeasures at their HQ while the team was abroad competing at MSI 2024, but noted that these measures only protected players playing from their HQ.

After T1’s loss against HLE, which relegated them to the lower bracket of the LCK playoffs, Faker spoke about the continuous DDoS attacks during the post-match conference. He highlighted how these attacks significantly impact their overall performance.

In response to the DDoS attacks, the league had to introduce pre-recorded matches, playing them at an offline LoL arena server that foreign networks cannot affect.

T1 urged Riot Korea and Riot Games to “fulfill their responsibilities and stop these attacks” to return to normalcy and ensure a fair and competitive environment for Korean esports players for the rest of the year. At the time of writing, Riot has not provided a statement on social media.

MSI 2024: Hail of Blades Poppy Support against T1, why did it work? https://notagamer.net/msi-2024-hail-of-blades-poppy-support/ https://notagamer.net/msi-2024-hail-of-blades-poppy-support/#respond Mon, 13 May 2024 17:55:21 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=74264 The LoL community was abuzz with admiration for Milkyx’s stellar performance with Poppy during yesterday’s series against T1 in the 2024 MSI Bracket Stage. The match between G2 and T1 showcased an intense showdown, with T1 ultimately emerging victorious after a hard-fought five-game series.

However, much of the community’s praise was directed towards G2, particularly for their innovative strategies featuring unconventional picks like Poppy Support and the rare appearance of Yasuo in the professional scene.

Milkyx’s Poppy, in particular, garnered widespread acclaim as the champion proved to be a proactive force for G2 throughout the series. With expert precision, Milkyx consistently executed the champion’s abilities to pin T1 members against walls, setting the stage for decisive team fights.

While initially met with skepticism from viewers, Milkyx’s mastery swiftly dispelled any doubts surrounding the pick. In a pivotal moment during game 5, Milkyx boldly utilized the “Hail of Blades” rune to disrupt T1’s formation and neutralize the threat posed by their low-health carries.

In a post-match interview, Milkyx revealed the rationale behind his strategic choices, citing the effectiveness of Poppy against vulnerable targets like T1’s low-health carries, Gumayusi and Keria.

By using Poppy’s high base damage and precise combos, Milkyx effectively pressured T1’s duo, creating opportunities for G2 to gain an advantage. The decision to focus on suppressing T1’s carries ultimately paid dividends for G2, allowing them to maintain control of the match until the final moments.

In terms of rune and itemization, Milkyx opted for a damage-focused build, prioritizing armor penetration, vision control with Zombie Ward, and swift roams with Relentless Hunter. Additionally, he used runes from the Inspiration tree to enhance Poppy’s mobility and cooldown reduction, further augmenting her effectiveness in skirmishes.

Overall, G2 Mikyx demonstrated significant Support potential akin to champions like Camille, making her an ideal choice for players seeking to engage enemy carries while remaining resilient to damage.

T1 Oner World skin will have an exclusive interaction with an old SKT Legend https://notagamer.net/t1-oner-world-skin-exclusive-interaction-skt-legend/ https://notagamer.net/t1-oner-world-skin-exclusive-interaction-skt-legend/#respond Sun, 05 May 2024 15:50:11 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=73769 T1 Oner kicking off a new era

In 2023, T1 once again cemented its place in League of Legends history, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the release of the team’s fourth set of World Championship skins. Among them, T1’s talented jungler Oner decided to immortalize his performance with a Lee Sin skin, following in the footsteps of his predecessor.

T1 Oner World skin will have an exclusive interaction with an old SKT Legend 12

Nearly a decade earlier, in 2013, when SKT T1 secured their first World Championship title, their jungler at the time, Bengi, also chose Lee Sin for his commemorative skin. Reflecting on this legacy, Oner expressed his desire to create a unique and nostalgic experience for fans through his own Worlds skin.

World champions are given the opportunity to contribute their ideas for special animations to personalize their champion’s legacy in League. When approached by Riot Games about his Worlds skin, Oner proposed a playful animation idea: his Lee Sin kicking Bengi’s, symbolizing the passing of the torch and the introduction of a new era.

Now, Oner eagerly awaits to see if Riot will incorporate his idea into the game, as he has yet to witness the final product of his skin.

Bengi’s Lee Sin, alongside other iconic skins like Faker’s Zed and Impact’s Jax, represents the beginning of a dominant era in competitive League of Legends. However, as the new generation of champions emerges, it’s time for them to make their mark and, quite literally, kick out the old guard.

T1 Oner’s advices on the current LoL Jungle meta https://notagamer.net/t1-oners-comments-current-lol-jungle-meta/ https://notagamer.net/t1-oners-comments-current-lol-jungle-meta/#respond Sat, 04 May 2024 17:01:24 +0000 https://notagamer.net/?p=73749 T1 Oner gives advice on the new jungle meta in League of Legends

In the competitive landscape of League of Legends, strategies continuously evolve, exerting their influence on the game with each new patch.

Recently, there has been a resurgence of an old tactic known as lane swapping—a strategy that holds nostalgic value for some players. T1’s jungler, Oner, has some advice for those encountering this strategy in solo queue.

T1 Oner's advices on the current LoL Jungle meta 16

Lane swaps have reemerged as a significant aspect of the current meta, particularly in professional play. However, as seasoned players are aware, the League community often tries to emulate strategies seen in high-level play or international competitions, albeit with limited success.

While Oner has chosen to keep his specific tips for countering this strategy to himself, as T1 is currently vying for the 2024 Mid-Season Invitational title, he did offer a straightforward suggestion to solo queue players facing lane swaps: “Just have fun.”

T1 Oner's advices on the current LoL Jungle meta 17
Image via Riot Games

According to T1 Oner, there is currently “no way” to adjust your strategy as a jungler when confronted with lane swaps in solo queue. Overcoming this tactic requires a high level of coordination between you and your teammates, which can be rare to find or difficult to cultivate quickly while climbing the ranks in solo queue. Typically, lane swaps are used to avoid unfavorable matchups in the lane while hindering the enemy top laner’s farm. However, executing a successful lane swap demands extensive teamwork and communication, which are not always readily available in solo queue environments.

Nevertheless, when executed effectively, a lane swap can provide your team with a significant advantage. By grouping up in the top lane, you can swiftly dismantle the enemy’s tower before they have an opportunity to reciprocate. Additionally, it aids in controlling the map and can afford your duo lane an advantage in terms of gold and items.

Although not everyone embraces the lane swap strategy, you may encounter it in your ranked games for a few more weeks until the meta adjusts itself once again. If confronted with this scenario, you could attempt to establish clear communication and formulate a plan with your team—or simply heed Oner’s advice and focus on enjoying the game.

Throughout his more than decade-long tenure in professional gaming, Faker has consistently epitomized professionalism, steering clear of false rumors and love scandals.

His reputation as the Demon King of League of Legends has only grown stronger following his triumphant victory at Worlds 2023. However, with fame comes speculation, and Faker has found himself at the center of attention once again, albeit under rather peculiar circumstances.

On the Chinese social media platform Weibo, a startling revelation surfaced, courtesy of a female netizen claiming to be Faker’s fiancée. This self-proclaimed Hong Kong-American fiancée of the T1 mid-laner unleashed a lengthy video attempting to substantiate her alleged relationship with the T1 mid laner, sending shockwaves throughout the LCK fanbase.

In the initial moments of the video, the so-called fiancée portrayed herself as a victim of coercion by Faker and T1, prompting her to seek aid online. She asserted that she had penned an astonishing 110 heartfelt letters to the Demon Kings since 2022, with the majority garnering responses from both T1 and her “fiancee”.

faker

Armed with many self-proclaimed clues and evidence, including snippets from interviews and live broadcasts, she fervently sought to validate her status as Faker’s betrothed.

The alleged fiancée asserted that her wealth rivaled that of him and disclosed her current residence in Hong Kong. Her primary objective in disseminating the video was to elicit a positive response from T1, in the hopes of establishing communication with her supposed fiancé.

The claims put forth by this individual verge on the absurd, including allegations of Faker intentionally losing matches due to her influence and accusations of popular host Soobin interfering as a third party in their relationship.

Moreover, the narrative of a potential marriage is marred by the absence of any tangible means of contacting him.

People see this situation as funny, but it shows how famous people like Faker can be affected by strange rumors in the gaming world. The T1 mid laner is still highly respected, but his private life is always being talked about and guessed at by fans, which keeps the community interested and entertained.
